Idk if anyone will see this because there’s over 180 comments now. But the rhipsalis @ 17:52 is actually called a hurricane cactus or (lepismium cruciforme spiralis ). I just got one, and took a long time googling what it was so I felt the need to share.

@@carrieholke522 You might have already figured this out, but I just got the white lights today after giving up on finding ‘pink’. The white ones do have a pinkish hue! Maybe that’s what Harli got. I know it’s been a month but I hope that helps!

The sticky tapes provided are not strong enough! My lights came tumbling down and broke some of my plants. I now double taped with 3M tape that holds up to 15lbs. Also, the cabinet locks only if you push the bottom latch down on the left door. :)
I was wondering about that tape. I'm paranoid that they will fall and smash my plants.

People were saying they would get metal grated shelves from the cabinet store to fit. I'd do that and zip tie. That way there would also be better circulation.
Same! I went for the 30 lb because I'm still scarred from the first disaster 😭 Also the heat of the lights and the humidity can also erode the adhesive.
The command strip velcro is great for this.
I built my ikea greenhouse a month ago and am IN LOVE with how eye catching it is. I keep all my expensive plants in there to help them grow obviously but also to draw peoples attention to them when they come over!
So you put some plants in there - which means the other spaces are free - which means a new shopping vlog&haul? hehehe

I use two computer fans in my cabinet. They are tiny, silent, and do a great job.

Omg this is perfect for my home. With this i can have more plants that are easily reached instead off high ontop of my furniture. But still save from my rabbit so he wont nibbel on everything.
He ate atleast 9 advocados that where almost 7 months old and and nibbled on a lot off succulents... mainly the soil but the bastard made sure i cant have plants infront of my window or or the tables....

I've been super anxious to put my own greenhouse together due to aaaaalll the lights and other options out there. But yet again you made it super accessible for me/us so I feel like I'm finally ready, thanks Harli!
I have the Barrina lights that produce white light (48 inch ones, they have color options for different needs) and my succulents love them! I switched over from gooseneck purple LED lights from BriteLabs and the difference is noticeable even after only a month of using the new white LEDs. My succulents were much happier almost instantly. I realized my lights sucked for succulents and just weren’t’ powerful enough when I started taking them outside in the summer and they actually grew, lol. I am very pleased with how affordable they were as well!

Hi Harli! I don’t know if anyone has suggested this or if you’ll see this but I wanted to throw out there that you could get a Christmas tree foot switch to plug your greenhouse into then plug the switch into the wall. That way you can step on the switch to turn all the lights off/on at once instead of having to turn each one off/on individually. Just a thought! Love your channel! Happy holidays to you and yours!

Hi Harli! Coincidentally, I just put up this same shelf! So far, humidity has been tough to keep below 65% in there, so you may not need a humidifier just due to the plants perspiring! Hope you love it! Look amazing in your space 😍

My husband is a carpenter and works for a grocery store refrigeration/freezer company. He just recently built me a 6 ft tall 4 ft wide terrarium out of triple panel freezer doors. It is working BEAUTIFULLY for some of my plants. Added a humidifier, lights and a fan, and spanish moss. The aerial roots are growing like mad.
To get it to lock, there’s a slide on the inside bottom of the left door

Barrina grow lights are my jam. They have helped me immensely, as my house has no light and i'm a newbie plant person. You can also buy power strips with built in timers if needed.
I have the same lights and I love them they are so good and for the price and the amount you get you can’t beat that plus my plants are super happy

Hi Harli, just wondering about you putting water in the saucers without first putting small rocks or pebbles in the saucers so the plants aren't sitting directly in the water, to prevent root rot?

i thought the same. maybe all the plants she put in there needed to be watered? hopefully thats the case, rot was the first thing i thought of too

As long as the water is very low this could be ok for plants in leca, looking back through all her plants are in a chunky bark mix. Maybe she needed to water so this was the way to get humidity up and bottom water at the same time...

That hoya is definitely a mathilde! Serpens leaves are super small and cute, like 1/3 - 1/2 the size of mathilde leaves. They also have an interesting texture, they're not smooth like mathilde leaves. ilyyyyysm Harli ❤️

Hi Harli, I love that cabinet it is so cool, hopefully when I add some more space to my house I can get one of those. I love how you arranged all of the plants in there. You have so many beautiful Hoya that are also on my wish list. Life has been really crazy and I haven't been on TH-cam as much since I am an essential worker. I really wanted to come to Utah this summer and meet up with you and your mom again, but of course that didn't happen, so that was a bummer. So glad to see "Batik" as one of those wine's brand. Just for info, Batik is traditional Indonesian technique of wax-resist dyeing applied (using unique paint tool called Canting) to the whole cloth or fabric, and originated from Java. Sorry for out off topic

if you have trouble keeping the humidity up, maybe you could put one of those portable humidifiers that you charge and put in a bottle of water! they're pretty small so it wouldn't take up a lot of room, but it would probably be a pain to keep charged/filling up the bottle. just an idea, love the video!!
The humidifier was not as popular for an enclosed space without fans/ adequate air circulation. The more popular choice for these cabinets was a small water fountain, like the little ones you could find at Michaels for indoor use. Many people also used weather stripping on the doors to keep humidity in. There are a ton of modifications for these. There is also an IG just for people and these cabinets.

If you connect the cords to a single extension cord you can shut off the lights all at once and worry about reaching to find the switch!
I was thinking of getting even a "smart plug" so you could have it on timer and use your phone!
There is a switch on the cord that has the plug :)
Hi Harli! That's a nice setup. I like the soft pink glow of the lights. You could plug the lights into a timer so you wouldn't have to turn them off and n manually. Thank you for sharing and for adding Kai on at the end!
