I sooo love the first part, where can I donwload jsut the first part please? This was one of the games that my ex and I used to play. He uintroduced me to RPG's actually, and to mtg. :)
heh just got through my 2nd play through of Shadows of amn...first was done 5 years ago and i loved it...this time around, allthough things were a little familiar and semi spoiled...i still felt like it was my first time RPGing through the fuckin game .theres a lot of emotion to experience through the game depending how you play it...i dont understand why this is not continued to be used in RPG's...i care less how my male character looks from behind.i want more trigger story same engine! bitches
i fail to see why nobody bothers try to do this anymore...WHO FUCKING SAYS the old engine wont sell product....Last i seen...Games like BG are still getting purchaced and circulated around, and given high praise
@rorydathomas452 What. I'm assuming you mean Windows 7 because I have no problems running it in Vista. Right that's it I'm going back to XP when I get my new lappy.
You're comparing a MOBA, an RTS and an RPG? I grew up on both StarCraft and Baldur's Gate. The games are so different it's like comparing apples and pineapples. Star Control II is also an epic game, but how on earth would you compare it to the ones above? I enjoy playing all of them again and again. Also remeber that the first StatCraft had graphics very similar to the first Baldur's Gate. They all have compelling storylines, exciting game play and replayability (is that a word?)
i prefer the action oriented gameplay in diablo more than the plan and strategy of this game. but i prefer the storyline, the characters that grip you for hours on end just to see whats going to happen next, the MUSIC, graphics, and the depth in baldurs gate. if blizzard recruited some bioware peoples theyd make a fortune. i mean, another fortune. lol
Which is why a BG film would suck to 90% of the fans, because they all would think it would be better if the protagonist was their character's race / class.
Too bad they don't make games like Baldur's Gate anymore. People nowadays are all about eye candy and mediocre story ( Yes, Skyrim). I'd pay big money to see a BG remake on today's graphic engines. A truly wonderful game!
hehe, Deus Ex, i think is the best game that has ever been created, the BG series takes second place only BARELY.. Planescape: Torment was supposed to be on par with BG though.. and then there's Fallout 2, NWN 2, both KotOR's..
It is NOT! Only Dragon Age Origins can be considered epic but in a different level. The nostalgic OST is something really important in this kind of Role-Playing-Games. While Skyrim has a nice OST it is far better the one from Baldur's Gate and DA: Origins.
hmm..no heh..well...if you count people that follow you around because you are good and try to talk with you a lot and play and lose...i suppose that "is bitches" But those are not the type anyone wants, Especially when you are good...it is a demanding thing, and everyone wants to prove themselves to best you...assassins are what Bitches are heh...I desire no such thing im good because i Demand it of myself, and pitty bitches or petty women...worthless to my goals, they only add problems
They aren't made because people don't like to read anymore boss, we like to rapp about "our phat momma".Old school rpg's graphics don't shine like grandpa's toilet and the gameplay style doesn't match my shoes. The game doesn't have ebonics and talks to much, you go play it !!!
seriously...how often do you get a game where you can choose between 20 different party members...heh...it makes a difference which you add in or not heh...theres plot with all of them...it really adds to a person to create an epic story of how they want to run it... now look at Dragon age 2.ok voice acting, and some interesting characters...but nothing that could not be achieved in the infinity engine lol, and made better...instead of this bullshit repeat dungeon crap and sealed doors. what?
Amen to that, my friend!
It's a damn shame they still can't make them like they used to...
Man this brings back happy memories...
Just beautiful.
Best RPG ever! Without any doubt ;)
These games had such a good soundtrack on them that if you play the soundtrack in the background while playing other games it makes them BETTER GAMES.
The temple theme is soooo relaxing.
*not whining* its BG 2 s soundtrack :D =) thanks for the post
I remember that, too. It was sad.
Very good job, god I love this game.. 'go for the eyes boo!!!'
yeah, me too. And I remember the poor Brage crying who killed his family with his coursed sword.
The memorieeees. Best game Ever made!!
wonderful
Waukeens Promenade music is the bizzle fo' shizzle!
In other words, it's damn good! :P
That's a respectable list. If anything can dethrone the Gates, then it's something like Planescape. And Deus Ex is awesome.
@endre545 Cool thing about BG is 10 years latter I find new stuff every time I play it. Thats how big the game is.
Hat's off.
This is. The. Best. Most epic. Game ever.
The pinnacle of RPGs. The crown of achievement by Bioware. BEST.GAME.EVER !!!!
i want a baldurs gate movie asap!! whit the same storyline that is in the game!

But how would you condense all that into two or even three hours?
Is it free now? Cool, where did you get it?
@TheNevada66 Skyrim is good, no doubt about it. I invested over 250 hours playing it. Still, it pales in comparison to Baldur's Gate 2.

What's Starcraft? Can i get bitches in Starcraft?

NWN2 you serious??? I liked that game for a while but damn, the game engine was crap!
@ShimmerArc skyrim is more epic
