Game has been out for less than a year and already I get nostalgia from this music. Hours and hours spent exploring and soaking in the detail and the atmosphere, crafting a journey that was so well written and yet fully my own. Amazing game, deserving of its accolades. D&D in your computer.

For some reason "Down by the River (Instrumental)" in character creation gave me nostalgic vibes, though I just started the game for the first time. Never played any Baldur's Gate, Larian title nor had any connection with D&D before. It gave me anticipating joy like a kid who waited the entire day in school to finally play.

Definitely an instant classic. BG3 was and is an absolute masterpiece of a game, and it'll be a long while before anything comes close to the quality and care that went into that game at every level.

@@shogun3730 I mean more in the sense that the game is not just a soulless husk being pumped out for a quick buck. Whoever at the top clearly loved this game just as much as the programmers and other people making it did. Doesn't seem to be the case with many other AAA studios.

I was going through a dark time in my life when BG3 released. It gave me the time to heal and get myself back up and on my feet again, I'm much better than where I was back then. Thank you Larian for an amazing experience.
I hear you. I was going through a divorce when the game released and I wept many times listening to “I Want to Live”. This game really helped me see the hope I still had in my life.
Opposite experience for me. Was experiencing the love of my life when I played. She turned out to be someone else entirely and it traumatized me to the point I'm in therapy. Now all the game does is remind of false hope. I can't play it anymore without thinking of a life I'll never have because it was never real in the first place the only time I thought I had it. Really sucks. Like winning the lottery and finding out the ticket was fake. You didn't win the lottery, and now you know what it feels like to win AND that you'll never win. Totally different than most people who just know they'll never win but at least don't know what it feels like to win. I want to get back to playing BG3 so I come to these videos every once in a while to see if I'm over it, but I fall apart every time. Interesting to see that the game is making us both (and another in the comments) feel the opposite of what we were experiencing when we first played it though.

I just finished my first playthrough. This was the most amazing adventure i’ve ever expierience and the complexy and deepness of the story as well as characters still stuns me. I’ve saved them all, and lived happily ever after as rogue mf. Now it’s time to counquer Faerun for myself and my urge!
I do want many big advanced dlc´s or epic expansions for BG3. I just want "a day at the marked" where you are a normal citizen in Baldur's gate that have to go around doing normal lazy Saturday chores in the city, while this music plays. No evil plot or other. Just the ambient atmosphere and serenity of the video above brought to live.
as my bg3 fixation is going strong again and i also need to study and work on projects, this is SUPER helpful and a really really good mix of ambience and music thank you so much for this!!

Same here. I used to play a lot and then, life, job... Bg3 brought me back to my old self. I feel a lot of emotions, because of the game and because of the fact that I've found myself again.
Man I really wanted to finish this game and continue for a second playthrough but I feel like my laptop's gonna die if I force it to lol The fact that this ancient artifact can somehow run BG3 up to midway chapter 3 is already a miracle in of itself, and I'm grateful for that. Someday gonna get myself a better laptop/PC and I'll run a new playthrough instead (I feel like I invested too much in the alien thing).

He gifted me the game right after that response and far I've been inclined to say that it was somewhat inspired despite the inspiration being d&d or maybe kotor was inspired by d&d. Never played d&d and since baldurs gate is the closest I will get to it. I will say I never expected it to be fun. I'm one for creativity and replayability, which the game has and encourages. As a music lover too, I think the game has its good taste in music.

I heard some of the music though and it really is something special in that department :) Maybe you're heavy into roleplaying and a good story which both games have plenty of. I'm reading th first book of the Darth Bane trilogy right now and maybe I'll try out kotor in the future. There was a rumoured remaster, but I think they axed it
@@Pharysz You'll love kotor 1 and 2. It takes a little while to get used to the combat and understanding the abilities. Best part is you can weld blasters and still use the force. I won't spoil the story which they put together well. My advice though if you get them is explore the entirety of the maps and complete every side quest.

@@Clone_of_Darth_Revan Have to be honest, I've never played kotor myself, but I heard nothing but praise for this game. I heard some of the music though and it really is something special in that department :)
Maybe you're heavy into roleplaying and a good story which both games have plenty of. I'm reading th first book of the Darth Bane trilogy right now and maybe I'll try out kotor in the future. There was a rumoured remaster, but I think they axed it
@@Pharysz You'll love kotor 1 and 2. It takes a little while to get used to the combat and understanding the abilities. Best part is you can weld blasters and still use the force. I won't spoil the story which they put together well. My advice though if you get them is explore the entirety of the maps and complete every side quest.
