You can't blame one person who decided to take drugs for the overdose of another who decided to take drugs. It's like blaming a 4 year old for another 4 year olds drowning. Many addicts who love each other nod out and one doesn't wake from the nod. It's happened to people I know and it's something that, as far as I've seen destroys the one who's living.

I do know personally. My best friend and I were almost at the baseball field to play a game against each other. We were both catcher's and taught each other to improve our game.
We were waiting for traffic to clear, when his cousin hollered to him from across the road to run. So he did, darting out in front of a speeding drunk driver. She was doing 72 in the school zone. He bounced off the hood of the El Camino 3 times, then slid on the pavement about 25 feet. The cousin told his parents it was my fault, cause I didn't stop him.
I didn't go to school for 2 weeks and I quit my team and Never played baseball again. Watching my friend die so horribly has forever been burned into my brain. 😢😢😢

Yeah I agree, because the reality is, if back before I got clean, my parents blamed pretty much anyone I was around for my decisions, except for me. If had overdosed, it would have been no ones fault but my own.
Logically we all know addiction is generally due to the choices of the addict. However, thats easier to say from the outside looking in.... but if one of my kids died in a scenario like this, I'd probably lose my ability to think rationally as well.. i cant imagine and hope I never have to understand what a pain that deep can do..
No parent should ever have to carry that burden..
I hope this woman finds a way to have some semblance of peace and a bit of happiness in her life, until she meets her again.

It’s human nature. After a person passes away we tend to want to find someone to blame while wanting to not tarnish the loved ones they have lost. I agree that I don’t like when that happens but it’s kind of like a stage of the grieving process imo.

I relate to this story totally.. my partner died in a drug fulled accident and even though I was nowhere near him at the time of the accident I was blamed by alot of his family and even though it hurt me to my core I didn't fight it and kept my mouth shut. I just kept thinking how much pain I was in wasn't nearly as much as his parents pain of losing one of their children. It was so hard, heartbreaking and soul shattering to hear the rumours about me but I just wanted his family who he lived for to work through their pain. Now me and my children have a very strong bond to them and through them and his children his memory is kept alive. I hope that this family will now I hope her mother and daughter will embrace this young lady as her wife and person she loved the most in the world. This episode hit home super hard. My father in law just recently died from an overdose. It's very hard to tell people what they should have done in that situation. Most people haven't been in situations like that before and mixing drugs into that mix, she wasn't in her right mind to know better. If she had been sober she would have known something serious was wrong, but drugs change how you experience things, how you perceive things, and how you handle things. She went and got help knowing she wasn't in her right mind to make any sort of decisions and unfortunately the help she got wasn't all too helpful and that's what cost Lexi her life. Addicts shouldn't be dying because of laced drugs, they are simply people with undiagnosed mental illness who are just trying to find a way to live comfortably just like the rest of us. I know our family definitely was looking to my FILs girlfriend to blame, but looking back now, she wouldn't have done that and people just made her life more difficult with those sorts of whispers going around. There is a responsibility that people do have when taking drugs, and even people who aren't taking drugs, everyone should always have Narcan. It is free at most health departments and it fits into purses, bags, and even pockets. If you are doing drugs or are around people who are, please, pick up some narcan. Narcan saves lives.

Having seen people overdose before, I can see how people wouldn't think that something is wrong right away because it can, at the beginning, sound like they're snoring. I would only know the difference because I've heard it before. I had a roommate who made the same mistake with his cousin. He thought he was just snoring when he was overdosing, he went to sleep, and by the time he checked on him, there was foam coming out of his mouth and he had been not breathing for too long and he was gone. I'm glad she gave her the ashes and forgave her. You don't know what an overdose looks like until you see one.

such a sad story to hear about Lexie I cant imagine loosing the person that u love is really hard to deal with and the mom especially loosing a child isn't easy on any parent but yelling at each other isn't gonna bring her back but I hope and pray they find peace and happiness knowing that Lexie is in a much better place! 😇💙🙏

This story was so sad and heart breaking, I’m glad kassidy passed the test….it’s easy to try to tell ppl what they should’ve done in serious situations that u aren’t in….but it’s not always that simple, I’m glad they were all able to come together & be close….I’m so sorry for all of their loss, sending my deepest condolences & sympathy to/God bless Lexi’s mom, sister, kassidy, their families, loved ones , all who knew and loved Lexi and friends , stay strong🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️

She still took a part in her girlfriend's death. She was scared from how she was breathing that's why she went and got someone. If she felt like something wasn't right she should have called the police PERIOD. They were doing pills together. No excuse.

Thank you! This exact thing happened to my cousin Scott. He couldn’t breathe and his gf was so scared that she drug him out of the hotel room into the parking lot before she called the cops so they wouldn’t see the room. She took to long and it was to late. All because she didn’t wanna get caught. Ofc I don’t think they wished them death, but they played a role regardless.

But I think Chrystal clearly had the biggest weight lifted off of her shoulders with the lie detector results.

    So sad!
Very upsetting to say that if she knew something was wrong at first, she should have called sooner. She clearly stated she took pills as well and not in the right head space.
Glad everything was cleared up for her ❤

Such a devastating & heartbreaking story all around. My heart breaks for all 4 of them, Kassidy, Lexi, her mom & her sister. The 3 of them are grieving in their own way & they will forever grieve Lexi. I know most wouldn’t forgive what they put her through, but it’s obvious that Kassidy still cares for them & vice versa. It’s great to hear Kassidy is trying to get her life together, of course it can happen anywhere.. but moving away from all that was a huge step..I’m sure she has a lot of regret she will live with for the rest of her life. But hopefully she continues to stay strong, stay positive. That ending & the voicemail was very bittersweet.

I hate the back and forth that Steve does with drug addicts. Asking why they would or wouldn’t do something is the most pointless set of questions. They don’t have the ability to make those rational decisions while they’re under the influence.

I feel bad for everyone involved, but the mom needs to realize her daughter also chose to take drugs. So blaming her GF for taking drugs when her daughter did the exact same thing isn’t helping any. She just wanted to blame someone. I feel bad for the whole family. :(

When you see someone overdosing you know they need help, users die because their friends are too scared to call emergency services because of the legal ramifications.

With all due respect yes of course that scenario happens but there's plenty of times where other friends or acquaintances are in too deep of a damned stooper to realize let alone how shocking it is to see how many people actively using don't know how to recognize OD let alone know how to use Nathan kits and administer CPR.
Help educate where ever you live. Volunteers are welcome darn near every where . And if you personally know or know anyone too scared to call for help then become an aid to those and encourage them. En-COURAGE them. We all have it. And in majority of states there is no legal ramifications . Sometimes many just need us to show them it's all right to seek help ❤

Seeing a mother crying BUT letting her daughter drug until cold dead, and hearing a girlfriend suffer BUT not calling the ambulance when her lover fall under the risk of dying, letting her die, makes them the same guilt.

  • @mirii_chuu
    @mirii_chuu ปีที่แล้ว +2

the mom just wanted someone to blame her guilt on. if she knew her kid was taking drugs she shoulda been a mother and helped her. she cant just blame one damn person. she died by her own choices not by another person. the mother is a poor excuse for a mother. the sister of lexi is the same as her mother, both deserve no sympathy or respect for blaming, traumatizing and hurting another human being for something they didnt do.

  • @Hezabelle77

I have a daughter in recovery. So proud of her 1.5yr sobriety. I lost her for 5yrs due to heroine. I could have been this mother. I thought I was her every night for 5yrs. Even being on this side of the scenario, I don't blame her for not calling earlier. It's a scary decision, I hear. You don't want to call 911 and have them arrest everyone because you panicked for no reason. It's sad they have to think that way, but it's truth. She got another drug addict's opinion because she's not seen it happen. It's an absolute tragedy, bit no one's fault but the person who took the drugs. It's sad, but it's true.
