    That motor is toast....

Not really, just have to fill it up with a strong detergent all the way to the oil cap and let it sit for several days. Do that a couple time followed by 3 100 mile conventional oil changes and your motor will be looking squeaky clean.

Warning. Ram 4.7. Drivers side valve cover is tough. May need to remove the brake booster.

I have the same rocker arm that popped off. When I put back on, it's loose, definitely not tight fitting. I wouldn't be pulling a heavy trailer if the valve seat dropped...that can't be the case...I bought a new one and it's still loose and doesn't stay on

Sorry for the trouble. If the rocker is loose as you say even with a new lifter, the valve it not fully up for whatever reason. Look at the valve and compare it to the one next to it in the same cylinder while the camshaft lobe is up. Even remove the neighboring rocker arm if needed for better visual. I'm willing to bet the valve is hung up either because it's stuck, bent, or something in between the valve itself and the seat causing it not to fully retract.

@drtierce ok you make sense now..I have spoken with many and they didn't know. I have no smoke whatsoever..it starts up fine every morning and every time. When I hit 40mph it shakes pretty bad and I have to let off the gas. I've also been pulling my trailer with this taking place...my trailer is heavy

@drtierce also a friend of mine told me that it could be the valve spring ( broken ) but it's not making any noise and there is no loud metal sounds nor do I hear anything being damaged. Sounds like a regular truck and still has the same sound before all of these stuff
