Thanks good relaxed video. I have done the 100 hr service before on my 115 mercury and 250 Yamaha. Its towards the end of the season here in VT and I always do a service before the winter sets in. Although I have done this several times before I use your video as a refresher check list every year. I particularly like the parts where you remind folks to grease the engine points and trailer.

Yes I have a 90 hp 2stroke also. No oil filter, but have drained lower prop gear oil & didn’t have to remove prop. Changed fuel filter on engine & tank. Changed plugs. Still get occasional sluggish operation even after warm & have to choke to get through it.

How on earth do you manage to explain things that others either miss or don't know. Even though my engine is a Yamaha, this advice is totally appropriate.Just the correct advice is invaluable. You show the importance of reading instructions on the engine and where to find it. I find your instruction and skills expertlty done. I also am subscribed to marine mechanical engineers and they don't always articulate everything that a novice would understand ( at least me ). Jason, I can't , for a moment fully explain how important your advice is and without being too patronising, Thank you for your time and for sharing your knowledge. Regards my friend.

Thanks nomad I really appreciate it! I just try to explain things like I would like them explained.. in a way my brain can understand.. lol.. I talk boats with customers all the time.. and it’s something I love talking about and working on! People don’t like it when you try to talk over their head..and they tune out or don’t listen or might think you’re arrogant .. Even though sometimes working in boats can be very frustrating and annoying.. but it’s challenging and rewarding also.. i hope to stay in the industry a long time.. I couldn’t think of a better job for myself..only thing that will stop me is my knees and back! Lol..I always appreciate your feedback and support!

Smashed the first one but bought a 4 pack. They are blue ones made of some compost stuff. I don’t care for them much and will try and get something different next year. Other than that, super easy service 👍.

VERY well done, thank you. I have the exact engine and this makes it so easy to do. Well explained on the video with no annoying nonsense that a lot of you tubers seem to want to add. As Jack Webb used to say in the the old series Dragnet ..."gimme the facts mam, just the facts"......(sorry showing my age)

Nice job explaining everything related to this service. I've bookmarked the site, having just purchased a boat with a 75 hp mercury outboard on it. Your explanation was simple, clear and clearly "experienced"... Well done.
