This video helped me see ALL the features this phont has to offer.
Love my S24 Ultra, by far the best phone I've ever had. It's a battery king, it's fast, and it takes amazing photos. I am and always have been a power user with my cell phones, I utilize most available features every time I get a phone and I do tons of research before getting a phone. I used to enjoy the Nexus/Pixel line but now those are so far behind Samsung in terms of software and hardware. Pixel phones are actually one of the least reliable phones you could buy. I went through 7 Pixel phones in one year, mostly due to hardware issues. And from other reviewers insights, that's still largely the case. Samsung all the way!
It may be the best but by negligible margin. I returned it after 4 weeks and kept my Note 9 going that just recently got the same software as the S24u via a custom rom. They even removed 360 panos, the sensor home button, SD and hp jack and still you don't feel ripped off? That's some sort of Stockholm syndrome?

This phone is a dream for all those who can afford it and use it to its max. Else it's an overpriced piece of tech. If you can afford and justify buying this phone - then it's a no brainer. I am proud owner of the same. And I am loving every bit of it. Be it the camera, stylus (note taking and rough sketches) , display, gaming, AI (especially transcribing and summarising) and all office apps and functionalities. It's my go to do device for everything digital. Ipad has gone to my daughters and my macbook air m1 is just there for more intense tasks. Else it's just this pocketable beast for me. I don't require a separate camera, an e-reader, music player, laptop or hand held gaming consol, or a tablet. It's just this one device all the way for me. And it's always on me. If you can use all of it's functionalities and push it to it's limits. Just get it

The grainy issue actually is not a fault. Even A series like A35&55 also have the same issue. I think they start changing the screen profile, and started it with S24 series
I dont understand the grainy issues... I mean its there but you really need to go near the screen just to see it... when I mean near you literally need to put your eyes an inch near the phone...

I've owned the S24U since a week before launch date, and there are no real negatives with the device. It is a flagship, it is THE best android phone and with trade in value directly from Samsung its insanely cheap to performance ratio. The only slight complaint is the physical dimensions of the device, I've had a half dozen moments where it doesn't always fit perfectly in some clothing i wear, and im not a person to use a sling, bag, or backpack.

Your review missed the mark. Surprised that a biased Apple Fanboy works for an Android news channel. If you want an Ultra that ditches the S-Pen, has rounded corners and Face ID, just get an iPhone 🤷♂️
⁉️The reason I bought the S24 ultra is its great screen. But when I run a HDR enabled video from Netflix, Amazon Prime or others the image is very dark. So why did I buy this phone? Attention: videos that say hdr. For example: our planet (i.e. the newest, most beautifully shot videos⁉️
I switched to the Samsung S24 Ultra from the iPhone 14 Pro. I'm excited about the phone. It has a great display, top camera, S pen. It just could have a bigger battery.
I have the S23u, and just ordered the s24u. The ONLY reason I upgraded (same reason I upgrade every year) is the Trade-in value. You're getting $850 (total savings)! This decreases as soon as the next phone (s25u) is released.
The main source of friction with my S24 Ultra is biometrics. Its so bad and I wish they would just either put a rear FP or side FP because they're much more consistent. Im over under screen FP. I have a iPhone as a work phone and you really appreciate Apple's biometrics because biometrics is something you interact with constantly, next to the screen its probably 2nd on a phone so I wish the Android device manufacturers would put more emphasis on improving this part of the user experience. To be fair, this has been my experience with most of my Android phones with under screen FP sensors. Shout out my old Pixel 5, my last phone with rear FP. And yes, ive tried every setting Samsung give you for improved recognition with a screen protector, multiple FP readings, etc. All that being said, I have no regrets purchasing my S24 Ultra but thats mainly because I did not, nor should anyone, purchase an Android phone at MSRP. GoogleFi promotion allowed me to cop this thing at 750, American :) ✌
disable "show animation when unlocking" in fingerprint settings. Also, reset and re-enter your fingerprints, make sure to register them holding your phone with your hand in the position you most likely will use to unlock it. If you have a screen protector, it will impact negatively in the fingerprint recognition.
In addition to the other suggestions, register the finger you use the most two times and vary the fp orientation slightly while registering. Samsungs fp reader works great for me.
I have a S21 base and been using since 2021. Im very frustrated with MULTIPLE things: -Batterylife is 5hrs SOT?? -Display has burn in after only 3 years with average brightness. -Exynos chip is unstable, inefficient and struggles in the camera app and randomly infact. -If recording in 4K60 fps then I cant use the telephoto lense for zoom?????what??? Whats the point of the lense then?? -Only gets 4yrs updates so android 15 will be my last...phone can do more. That being said, my positives are: -Its a phone.
I love my S24 Ultra@! My husband teases me about needing the newest Samsung. My Dad was in on the ground floor of computers & his techiness rubbed off on me. The battery is amazing & I'm a heavy user. When I do need to charge it though, it goes to 100% so quickly! I HAD to have the S24 Ultra camera as we were expecting our 1st great grandbaby ♥️ The camera dies not disappoint!
My s10+ lasted 5.5 years and looks mint I changed the battery myself after 2.5 years. Iv Just bought the s24 ultra today for the flat corners & the s-pen 😂
The brightness on the S24 ultra is so good. I also have an iPhone 15 pro max and I was really disappointed with its visibility in bright sunlight. It’s barely visible at max brightness. However, on my s24 ultra I only need to have the brightness set to about 45% in bright sunlight.
Sorry, but lose the S Pen is a terrible idea. Sales will definitely drop off if it did. Why would I buy this over the S24 Plus if the S pen goes? Just buy an iPhone then: face unlock, no S pen.
The s24 series is the best android phone Samsung will ever make out of following the IPhone trend, unless they start experimenting with new ideas, this bandwagon of IPhone is saturated, its only downhill from here if they don’t get back to their old selves… and yes I definitely think anyone using the s23 series should consider upgrading.
The S Pen is there for people who use it. If you don't, then it's fine. It's the same argument of having the accessibility or colourblind settings, just because you don't use it, doesn't mean others don't as well. The phone is multi purpose, some cons might be pros for others.
I've been making an effort since 2014 to appreciate One UI, but I can't seem to enjoy it as much as I do the Pixel or Nothing UI. Despite this, I continue to use the S23 as my primary phone and the Nothing 2a as my secondary device.
I don't know why people like to use their phone without a case let alone an expensive one. Do they not scared of dropping it? When I hold my phone for like a minute without my case, my hand start to sweat.

Using S pen is base on preference and for me S pen is a must. I hope samsung will not remove the S Pen. I'm using it to edit photos and for note taking and I think it is pretty useful if you start using it on a regular basis.
Im an apple commit and have been since 2012. Apple however, seems to have not really cared about what there consumers say anymore. Do yall recommend I transfer ecosystems? How easy would it be? Samsung is very compelling right now
if you have many other Apple devices and if you're too dependent on the integration among them, I fear you might have some issues changing to an Android phone. For example, Apple watch and Airpods will lose their most useful features when you don't have an iPhone to pair with it. On the other hand, when you start building your Samsung "ecosystem", with cellphone, buds, watch, tablet, TV, etc.... not only you'll have it cheaper but you will have plenty of integration and won't regret it.
Hello, How does the antireflective coating withstand the test of time? Absolutely agree this is one of the S24 Ultra big pros. But in my experience the oleophobic coating of my previous phones worn out after a few months. Would like to know if the antireflective coating follows the same path... Thanks. Fred
I'm loving the screen and decided to use it without any protection. Just a thin, flexible and clear case (not the original from Samsung, which is too thick) that helps to grab the phone better. At the same time, I'm being extremely cautious with the screen. Most people scratch their screens when holding the phone with other items (keys, pens, rings, anything metal or hard) or when being clumsy with it (letting it drop, or throwing it inside a bag full of items). I'm being very radical when using it, nothing else in the same hand or pocket, extremely careful where I leave it to rest, etc. Also, some awareness of the surroundings: is there anything nearby that can fall over the screen? Sometimes, when I need to put it inside my backpack, I use a bubble wrap pouch for extra protection. It's a bit stressful if you never tried this before, but in a short time you'll get used to it.
specifically about the oleophobic coating. I destroyed the coating of an old Motorola phone after repeatedly cleaning it too many times with Isopropanol (i.e., isopropyl alcohol). Since then, I'm using a tiny amount of dishwasher soap and some drops of water, using the fingers to spread it lightly over the surface, then rinsing it with only water and finally drying it with toilet paper or microfiber cloth. In 4 months of use, the surface of my s24 ultra is still perfect.
That was a good review on the S24 ultra and over here it the prices start at $2199 for the base S24 ultra which is over a $1000 more than what you would pay for it in the United States.
I mostly use the spen for remote shutter, such a nice quality of life feature, I take a lot of photos on tripods for photogrammetry and its such a clean package always having the pen.
You can also use a watch for that, so I am not sure that is a major selling point for the S-pen. On the Apple Watch, you can also zoom in using the watch.
@@andyH_England yeah I am kinda lazy about charging/wearing the watch so the pen always there. Not sure if the watch can take expert raw shots or not should check.
Keep the S-Pen it's the S24 ultra's USP most people will put a case on it so corners aren't an issue for me battery life is a full day for me on average but i'm not a heavy user, anti-reflective screen is a non issue as i've got a screen protector as 80%+ users will have installed washed out colours was ab issue but samsung software update sorted it out, AOD isn't as customisable as S23 ultra only 45W fast charging not 65W NO charger in the box NO micro sd card face unlock should be better but no need for 3D apple clone stuff a better ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor would be nice but overall the best android or best any phone out there in 2024

Thr ultra might not be for you. But there is no doubt its the best phone out there. It has everything you could want from a phone. Samsung has out done it's self with the ultra. No question about it.
I bought my s24 ultra just few weeks ago and Iam noticing grainy / sandy display especially on dark grey areas. Is this related to hradware or software problems? Anyone facing this issues?
Most people don't switch phones on a yearly basis anyway. The S24 Ultra should be compared to the S22 Ultra and previous versions, not to the S23 Ultra.
I hate ios but my next phone probably is going to be an iPhone just because Samsung decided to put an s-pen in the ultra line. Yeah, i get it, there are people who like that thing - I don't. For me it is a toy that I had used just a couple of times to play around and completely abandoned after that. Basically, they want me to pay an extra 100ish for an additional point of failure that brings 0 extra functionality for me personally. Ridiculous.
I just upgraded from the S21U to the S24U. It's worth the upgrade to me especially with the currently available $600 trade in value for the S21U direct from Samsung, plus free storage upgrade to 512gb (plus a few additional discounts). Getting $600 trade in value for a three year old phone is pretty cool I think. Also, the S21 series is no longer going to receive OS updates, just security updates from now on, so that plus needing a new fresh battery, and the trade in value, all made upgrading pretty compelling to me. But all that said, the S21U is still a pretty great phone, imo, and if it weren't for the end of updates and old battery, I probably wouldn't have updated now. But it sure is nice to have the S24U. U Only live once.
While i agree the boxy corners can be bothersome, you youtubers need to stop with the it hurts. Holding a phone doesnt hurt no matter its shape. Stop the bs. Are you death gripping it? I have the fold 6 and s24 ultra and have heard "it hurts" by youtubers too much. Youre parroting other tubers. I just squeezed my phone in hand very hard. Yes tiny indent in hand. Absolutely no pain.
"probably one of the best display on a phone" what is even the point of saying that? It has DEFINATELY one of the best display, if not the best display on a phone yet.
The iPhone 16 Pros and Pixel Pro will get the latest Samsung displays that are the best they have. So, yes, at the moment, but like with tech, it is always fleeting as the iPhone and Pixel will be better for the next 5-6 months.

i JUST got the S24 Ultra and I have to say this phone is INCREDIBALE!!!,, I was SUPER shocked when there were hidden secrets I found that I never had ond another Samsung phone prior, Such as a stylus for one and that I can draw on the lock scree (I was like WHAT!!!) But as I ssid I'm still exploring this AWESOME phone that I decided to get and as of right now I am super excited to have gotten it. Last phone I had was a Samsung Z flip 4 and I was soo disappointed with the quality of the phone, This phone is still blowing me out the water iwth all the little details,, thank you again for doing this video.
@@petergplus6667 I traded in my previous Samsung phone and ended up only paying like $400 for the phone and I actually felt the speed, camera and battery performance alone justified the upgrade from the S22 Ultra.
I'm buying one next week
Good luck and congrats in advance. You will enjoy it.
Also, Absolutely no to losing the spen. Thats one of the best features of the note series. Ill have to disagree with you on losing that.
6 months shouldn’t even be considered as long term review, as most people keep their phones for around 2 years. They should do long term reviews after 1 year from release, at the minimum.
Some ppl keep their phone for 4 years and even 5
Good for you, my S24U screen got a small scratch after putting inside my pocket with keys, I had to slap on a screen protector 2 days ago, I cannot afford this to happen to my phone, especially because it's and expensive phone.
does your carrier offer insurance? i have spectrum mobile and pay $15/month for insurance and it covers everything :)
@@sluice2015 I don't like dealing with those people, the last time I had to send my S8+ because the battery was defective, it took me 1 month for me to get it back, no man thanks I rather put on a screen protector and a protective case.
Just as cameraman is always safe, reviewers devices never have any problem. They would claim to have thrown their devices from the height of 50 floor buildings and survived. Take their durability comments with a sack of salt and use at least a good case.
@@Hari-kx2erI agree everyone should use a case but I've been lucky I've never dropped it!
This guy is just having FOMO of using an iPhone.
No neutral reviewer ever asks for 3d face unlock when the fingerprint is much more convenient
Just get it
Battery life was incredible on this phone had mine for a week but had to return it due to a grainy screen but sadly the replacement had the same issue with I had kept my S23 Ultra 😢
@@Tamayo.Sama2023Well I won't be buying another Samsung then not paying top dollar for a budget screen it looked like an old Redmi I had.
@@erickreyes7902Mine was really bad it reminded me of a £80 Redmi I bought a few years back will put up with that on a cheap phone but not a £1000 plus phone.
@wizzgamer that's a lie. You don't know how to change settings from default. Stay with the older stuff
I agree. A smidgen smaller and a little more rounded corners
The photo quality is its biggest negative.
Photos are amazing. If you watch also any comparison for the past 2 months its the best all-rounder.@smartphonefan5226
@smartphonefan5226 it's just that they are so inconsistent...sometimes you'll get great pics and sometimes you'll get pics that look like they were taken with a potato.
@@smartphonefan5226Exatly spezally when taking pictures they are to oversaturet and very often they are oversharpened that is what Samsung should fix in the next camera update like they have promise . But that wont happen i gues .
Loving my S24 Ultra, having the same green 1TB 😂 no issues at all 🎉
What do you think of this?👀 Like I mentioned I wish it had 3D secure face id but I've really enjoyed using this
3D ID and the pin hole camera seems like a tall order. I just don't like flat screens

I have a S22 Ultra, and I am planning to get the S24 Ultra. 😮
I switched to the Samsung S24 Ultra from the iPhone 14 Pro. I'm excited about the phone. It has a great display, top camera, S pen. It just could have a bigger battery.
Kool! 👍How long is your US warranty on this phone for?
@@Transcendent-Economics-101 I don't know what the warranty is like in the US. I live in the Czech Republic and here the warranty is 2 years.
@@Alf5631The Iphone 14 Pro could have a bigger battery as well..
A day or a day and a half on battery before you need to charge yours? I blow through the battery on mine and have to charge it about 4pm everyday
Dude! You sounds like an iPhone user, why would you turn this phone into another boring iPhone?
3d face unlock wtf did he say
Spen is useless? Haha they are the ones who are gonna cry when samsung ditches the spen
Such hypocrites
I have a S21 base and been using since 2021. Im very frustrated with MULTIPLE things:
-Batterylife is 5hrs SOT??
-Display has burn in after only 3 years with average brightness.
-Exynos chip is unstable, inefficient and struggles in the camera app and randomly infact.
-If recording in 4K60 fps then I cant use the telephoto lense for zoom?????what??? Whats the point of the lense then??
-Only gets 4yrs updates so android 15 will be my last...phone can do more.
That being said, my positives are:
-Its a phone.
I wish there could be a S24 Ultra Pixel Edition with pure Android, Pixel experience. Even though it's impossible, but that would be really nice.
My s10+ lasted 5.5 years and looks mint I changed the battery myself after 2.5 years. Iv Just bought the s24 ultra today for the flat corners & the s-pen 😂
Kool! How long is your US warranty on this phone for?
S24+ Snapdragon for me has been such a sweetspot in the lineup.
Shame for Samsung they still not resolved camera issue for their best smartphone.
Lol if you dont use the spen why buy the ultra series😂
Because the pen is not a deal breaker for everyone, they still want Samsungs flagship phone.
I actually like the square corners and prefer that over the traditional rounded corners.
I don't know why people like to use their phone without a case let alone an expensive one. Do they not scared of dropping it? When I hold my phone for like a minute without my case, my hand start to sweat.
Im still rocking the S21u and Ive been holding off since they nerfed the vibration motor since the S22u and seems to not have been fixed yet.
We need S25 Ultra camera spec on this year S24 Ultra plus a good tele macro mode like on all Chinese brands especially the one on Vivo x100 series…
Just google on Vivo x100 series tele macro mode n u guys know what I m talking about…!!!
Is Android authority full of English dudes? Captions are a must now when watching their videos.
I rarely use the s-pen. The screen is amazing, the camera is excellent. Android auto sucks, but I don't think that will ever change.
Using S pen is base on preference and for me S pen is a must. I hope samsung will not remove the S Pen. I'm using it to edit photos and for note taking and I think it is pretty useful if you start using it on a regular basis.
Spen is a must have for me!! Its even the only reason to buy samsung phone for me! Without spen..i am better off with an iphone
Having security updates or having risky famous lines issues .. ?
Hope they have standard display 5 years anti ines warranty protection soon.
ditch the spen make the battery wider and make the phone thinner like the note 10 plus
I only wished they have smaller variant. Maybe like 6.5 inch size with S-Pen but keep the camera and zoom. Then we'll have a perfect smartphone.
When screen reflections are a big bother, then the S24 ultra is a great reason to upgrade to it.
From the S21 ultra.
6 months with my S24 Ultra and it is the best phone I've used
bro really suggested removing S Pen from ultra... that would be like iphone getting rid of face id
To me the spen is a must have on this phone. I wish samsung would. Make it completely flat and more rounded corners on the S25 ultra
S25 U is said to have more rounded corners
Hello,
How does the antireflective coating withstand the test of time?
Which country do you live in, if you don't mind?
I mostly use the spen for remote shutter, such a nice quality of life feature, I take a lot of photos on tripods for photogrammetry and its such a clean package always having the pen.
You can also use a watch for that, so I am not sure that is a major selling point for the S-pen. On the Apple Watch, you can also zoom in using the watch.
@@andyH_England yeah I am kinda lazy about charging/wearing the watch so the pen always there. Not sure if the watch can take expert raw shots or not should check.
Keep the S-Pen it's the S24 ultra's USP most people will put a case on it so corners aren't an issue for me battery life is a full day for me on average but i'm not a heavy user, anti-reflective screen is a non issue as i've got a screen protector as 80%+ users will have installed washed out colours was ab issue but samsung software update sorted it out, AOD isn't as customisable as S23 ultra only 45W fast charging not 65W NO charger in the box NO micro sd card face unlock should be better but no need for 3D apple clone stuff a better ultrasonic Fingerprint sensor would be nice but overall the best android or best any phone out there in 2024
As a cyclist I love how rugged the phone is , absolutely love it
Please make a review of S24 also Exynos version that's really helpful
Had mine for a weekend , sorry to say I gotta send it back. I love the phone but I got a 256g model, I want a 512g. Used to have a s20 and I was able to upgrade the storage
Thr ultra might not be for you. But there is no doubt its the best phone out there. It has everything you could want from a phone. Samsung has out done it's self with the ultra. No question about it.
What MP were you using for the camera shots 12,50,200?
Square edged phone is best phone. I don't like rounded corners. IMO, the S24 Ultra is peak aesthetic.
Why?Square corners feel uncomfortable in ur pocket and makes ur phone look like a brick
@wouter.d.h. it doesn't both me at all. And I never experience this pocket issue you mention. I like this phone looking the way it does.
I haven't gotten the
Samsung Galaxy flagship since 2015. Only the A series
I LOVE the boxy corners
5:25..what's the point of this mode..these photos are awful.
I was with you until the S-Pen section.
Loose the s pen, which i kind of like but swap it out for a bigger battery?
I have the note 20 ultra and i just got this phone. I will only upgrade when the s28 comes out probably lol
Missing a part of the screen and AUX port... -__-
I dont use the stylus ever. The only reason I use samsung is DEX if google bring a desktop mode, I'll switch in a heartbeat
Ridiculous.
Nobody normal is upgrading from the s23 Ultra. My phone before this was the Note 10 😅
Please bring the IR blaster back.
Currently on the s21 ultra and other than my charging port slowing going our, is it worth the upgrade?
@peterestern8029 I called tmobile customer support yesterday and was told the trade in value is $800 to $1000. Definitely going for the 512gb.
No S Pen?? Wtf.
Until Greenline appears😅😅😂
While i agree the boxy corners can be bothersome, you youtubers need to stop with the it hurts.
Holding a phone doesnt hurt no matter its shape. Stop the bs. Are you death gripping it?
I have the fold 6 and s24 ultra and have heard "it hurts" by youtubers too much. Youre parroting other tubers.
I just squeezed my phone in hand very hard. Yes tiny indent in hand. Absolutely no pain.
The design is unique and love it as well. Let them get the iphone if they do not like the boxy design.
Or just whimps...?
This phone is a beast! Period.
