- So it obviously fit in the trunk of my car. We made it the 200 miles home just fine with it partially hanging out! Slapped the old girl back together and took it for a late night spin. Surprisingly didn't take a lot to get going. Pretty sure my neighbors hate me! This is going to be one fun bike!
What should I do with it now?!

I've had a few people try and buy it, but I plan on keeping it a while! This is an '84, so it's a little de-tuned compared to the earlier model they did the speed testing on, but it's still PLENTY fast!
Maybe a crack in the reed valve ! Also those bikes like a 50:1 gas , oil ratio ! Motorex !
Yep, I run 50:1 in all my 2 strokes. I kinda like the smell of Klotz though... :D

I've always just used regular old ATF in bikes like these. Sometimes you can find bike specific recommendations for a trans oil but the general consensus seems to be that ATF in most cases is the stuff to use.

Hey Mr T. I'd like to talk to you about my 495. I believe it's an 83. Mono shock with front drum brake. I bought it as a project bike over 20 years ago knowing all it needed was the ignition/stator. Well, it's been garage kept ever since. Never found the part and time to do it justice.
