    • @zreolmeannin
      @zreolmeannin 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Those airplane engines are probably stupid expensive, he was given this one by the manufacturer, toyan and it costs about 750$ I think, and for the electric lawnmower idea I think somebody has already done that, considering it’s pretty easy and one other thing is you may end up with a bike but with worse range/power and more expensive to make than to buy

Any bike shop should be able to put new spokes on your wheels, or find some spokes for you to put on yourself. I was in charge of my university's bike club for a few years, and did lots of bile repairs. I've even robbed spokes from old wheels that I had sitting around to fix somebody's bike that had just been locked to a bike rack. I've even taught people about how to lock up their bike properly by moving their bike to a different bike rack and waiting around for them. When you lock up a $1,000 bicycle, you should make it harder to steal than popping the quick release on the front wheel.

Just a thought: When you make your clutch pads, why not glue on one long piece then cut the excess to make the three pads? Since you have to trim the width anyway, you may as well trim the length. That way you don't have to worry about how well they fit when you are gluing them on and each one will have complete coverage.

just a question? how do you lubricate the bearings for the "craskshaft"?
i guess the new "crankshaft is not gonna spin as fast but still unlubed bearings since normaly on a 2 stroke they are lubed by the 2 stroke oil.
i guess u can simply fill the crankcase like half way with some oil 10w-30w or something but i think a splasher on the crankshaft like in a lawnwower would be a good idea to move around the oil in there in that case more.
even thoe it´s just a fun temoraly project i think it´s worth do a legit long lasting job so figure out some way to lube the crank bearings before u burn them out.

For that engine to be more efficient you would have to re make the valve train because there's so much play in the rocker arms and rods you lose quite a lot of power through skewiff random timing.
Johnnyq90 done a few videos on these engines 👍
Also burnt nitro fuel is toxic don't breath so much in 🙌 for your own health

Yes. There's considerable wear after just a little bit of running - I'll get some more suitable material, 6082 doesn't cut it.

Yeah you learn to weld on the job when your welding 8 to 10 hrs a day and it becomes like muscle memory, but you got it pretty good there:)

I always considered the SAAB 93 / 96 Two stroke, together with the Honda CB125T as most screams, yet not particularly fast.
You really put both of them to shame here !
Sorry about the crank, cheers from nearby Sweden!

I know endmills are very expensive, but you might want to consider getting some shorter ones. That way you aren't wearing out just the end of your tool, and more importantly you'll have a better quality cut with more rigidity and less tool deflection. Nothing wrong with what you're doing though, just wanted to give you a tip.

I'd recommend using a computers liquid cooling system for a oil cooler or radiator

    Cool little project.
It sounds like the clutch was slipping pretty a lot though, was that intentional to soften the load on the flimsy crankshaft?
    Keep the interesting videos coming!
