OMG, thanks so much for that. Along with the adrenaline rush I swear I could actually smell Belray MC1 burning. I had the same model, an XC with Öhlins rear. My bike was legendary. You don't meet many people who would dare own something so darn frightening. Psychologically the most powerful and fastest thing I have ever had anything to do with. I've had GSXR750s, RG 500, ridden many 900s, 1100s, 1200s, been in turbocharged cars that made grown men wet themselves but nothing ever came close to the thrill of riding my KTM 495
Nice I had the 1983 ktm 250 MX water cooler. Shifted hard missed gears and rear shock not so good. Nice power though. I went back to Honda in 84 won my class .

It's one of the early '82 models manufactured end of '81. Rebuilding time ~800h, ~3500 Euro for bike & spares
