God I’d love to have a crew of folks like him. Competent, assertive guy who creates a comfortable environment for the team to succeed in. Not a single doubt that he crushes it

Thanks for coming up with the idea for the sick viewing area experience, Chris, I was there in Cleveland! The Megadeth headphones are awesome

The way people get gigs is always some of the most important take aways. So many get a gig from not even knowing a gig is at hand. Fixing a laptop and then this happens. Music industry is literally the strangest biz man

The explanation of the routing of the mic swaps at 20:26 is melting my brain. Is it just me or was that unclear to anybody else too? Are the mic swaps the same each night? Because if so, that makes it crystal clear, but if they are random, then I'm completely baffled how he's achieving that concept.

To me it seems like it wouldn't actually matter.
The scenes are set up so that when they swap mics he calls up the appropriate scene for that position and the singers all end up in the right fader.
However, from later on it appears they do the same swaps so he's actually able to automate it.

@@fuzzylogickben there must only be a couple different ways that it's actually laid out per night as there are many possible combinations. but yeah like you said, the changes are planned, because he's using qlab to do it for him

I love your videos and am learning so much. Thank you. I've been watching many videos on this subject...monitor mixing, foh and talking g to people that have time to talk to. I'm wanting to get better. I am using an old board yamaha ls9-32. Unfortunately there are not many videos on this board that are helpful. As far as signal flow to make the board do a vca or dca I have kinda figured out a work around. I'd like to learn more on using that in my main out as far as foh. Can you get me some more info on that in a comming video maybe. Sorry if this is such a noob question.

All That Remains are in the background the whole time, any chance you also interviewed their monitor engineer?
