    Massively helpful and you make it look so easy - really appreciate you sharing as once I get my van will be one of the first jobs - especially as you’ve made it so straightforward to follow

    Bought one and using your guide fitted it 👍 No problems apart for trying to understand the instructions, in the end do what we normally do and kept pressing buttons until all ok. Checked it the following day and mine doesn't turn off, even put the alarm on and locked it but, it still stays on. Have now unplugged it and will have to start pushing that little knob all over again 😂. Installed in a Fiat Ducato albeit the heavy 4.5T it is still the same dash and instrumentation.

      Hi Mark. Thanks for the feedback. How long did you watch it. Mine stays on for about 30 seconds after I lock up but then it turns itself off. Hope you get it all sorted. Mine works great. If you don’t sort it out it may be a faulty unit.

      Sat in the truck and used remote to lock it, stayed still for ages (didn't wont to activate alarm) must have been 2/3mins. Then unlocked and relocked from outside then checked in the morning and it was still on!!!! Unplugged it and will try it again over the wked. Not a great problem to unplug, just hope it isn't a chore to set up again.

    Great video and demonstration. I had seen this described in the CV group you mentioned but with me not being that handy I doubted whether I could make a good job of the install especially making it all look neat when done - well having seen that I think I could! Thumbs up!

    Enjoying watching your vids🙂. We don’t have a CV but did seriously consider one! Having watched you, Black Pearl and Wizard in the Wild we should have, for all the useful content you guys put out. That said I think I will be using your link to get the old man a head up display for our van - it will keep him busy for a bit 😂. Thanks

      Hi Ruth, thanks for taking the time to watch my videos. Just like to try and share any useful. The HUD really is fantastic and I know lots of people who have now bought one and haven't heard one negative thing about them.

    You don’t need to remove big the panel under the steering wheel. Just remove the small fuse box panel and you can easily feed the cable through.

    Hi there. After seeing the video I bought one through your affiliate link. Fitting was a doddle although not yet stuck it down permanenty as unsure exactly where I want it. The only thing I'm having trouble with is understanding the manual - maybe just me!

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The manual isn’t the easiest to follow. I just had a play around with it until I got what I wanted. Julie has actually thrown the manual away now. I’m so pleased I scanned it before she did so I have a back up. The link is just a link and Amazon don’t pay me for it but thanks anyway. Hope you figure it all out and you’re as happy with it as I am. Definitely one of my better ideas. Thanks for watching the channel and leaving the comment. 👍🏻

    I'm guessing that the knurled wheel next to where you plug the cable in on the unit is for the brightness of the display?

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. That's to change what the display shows on the windscreen.

    This might be a really daft question 🤔 I have an autosleeper Peugeot base vehicle 2019 the speedometer is the standard dial and like many it's tricky to see. Does the heads up convert the miles from a dial type to the digital on the screen. I wear glasses for reading and different ones for driving so can't see the speedo that clearly 😳

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi there bought one of these from Amazon. have got it working fine except for turning itself off when van is switched off. My battery on van is 13.6/8. I have altered settings in the HUD menu 9 and have tried 13.2 and 14.0. to try and get it to stay switched off when van not on. Also setting 10 in menu i have set to 10 seconds for it to go off as well. However what it does it goes from speed 0 at standstill to 0.0 then after 10 seconds turns off BUT after couple minutes comes back on again and find battery then about minute later goes to 0 again then 0.0 and off then once again comes on again and repeats but will not stay off. Can you tell me if yours does this or if you managed to get it to stay off when your van is switched off please. If so what are your settings on your menu. other than that I have found it to work well.
    do hope you can help me perhaps send me your settings so I can try those.
    Many thanks Jim

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not at all. I have been using it for ages and my battery is fine. It turns off about 30 seconds after the ignition goes off. It's probably my favourite upgrade. Love it

      @@TravellingfromScratch hi will it fit my 155 auto quest Peugeot boxer motorhome?

    • @TravellingfromScratch
      @TravellingfromScratch  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@peterrider3471 If it has an obd port or a usb port then it should work. Obviously I can't say for certain as I don't have that vehicle but you can try it and if it doesn't work you can send it back. If I had to make an educated guess I would say that it will work no problem. It's a universal fitting so should be fine. Give it a go.
