Thank you Jennifer from the UK. I am 82 years old and just attempted my first gel experience based from your other video. You give me inspiration to keep going with these ideas. Your cards are beautiful.x
I love the gel press technique videos. I love using my gel press with stencils and distress oxide inks. Anything that can stretch my already owned products are so welcome. we all spend a lot of money to get enough stamps dies and inks to make the cards different. But sometimes we run out of steam using the same things over and over. These gel press techniques make them look totally different. Make more ‼️‼️
Sorry about the bad day but I love the old shirt that has wonderful memories. You are so generous sharing your talent with us. I can’t tell you how many happy times I’ve spent watching your videos. That stamp really is different and I love it. I’ve been cleaning out an attic storage room, I think I deserve a reward. 😊
I'm so sorry you're having a bad day when a video from you makes our days so much better. I hope that your week gets better. Sending good vibes! Also, I would like to say I am so envious that shirts from high school still fit you! 😀😍
Oh my goodness. These are fabulously awesome Jennifer. You are definitely an Expert with a Capital E. All a matter of perspective. Thanks a million for your continued innovation/inspiration that you gift all of us with. We are truly blessed to be in your midst 🙏🙏🙏
Jennifer, the cards are beautiful and the lift technique makes exquisite images. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us even when you’re not feeling your best. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I love your gel press videos. Most people make a mixed media feel with gel press but you do it in a way that I feel is more my style. Thank you, i love your style.
You are an amazing person, you were having a bad day but still took the time to make us another wonderful video. Hope you are having a better day now reading all these encouraging and kind comments. You have definitely made our days x
Im so sorry you were having a bad day. You bring so much joy to so many. Your videos have helped get me through the pandemic and I appreciate it so much! BIG HUGS from Canada!
Another great technique with the gel press and I'm loving them all and your cards are outstanding....thank you Jennifer for doing these videos on your bad or good days.....Hang in there.
I made my own stamping platform from a wooden base and built up popsicle sticks for the frame. I started out with a frame deep enough to accommodate thick cling rubber stamps. Now, because of this video, it's thick enough to accomodate the gel press. (In case you're wondering, I used a die cutting plate for the door and I based the final size on that and I used 1 1/2" utility hinges).
Please don’t stop making videos with the gel press technique! You have so many wonderful ideas! And I’m a bit envious that a high school sweatshirt still fits ! I love that it’s Billy Joel! We’ve seen him 3 times in Madison Square Garden! I am going to do this technique as soon as I get my kit!
Oh Jennifer!! I hope you are feeling better. I hate days like that, I hope your crafting gives you the outlet or distraction you need to just "be still" ~ Thanks for being a great outlet and inspiration for me on good days and bad
So sorry you are having a bad day. You have such amazing talent and I enjoy your videos very much. You have the sweetest voice and the way you explain the techniques is so enjoyable!🙏
WOW WOW WOW!! You never stop amazing me with your techniques! I actually bought a gel press after your very first video with it, and I love it! Thank you so much for building on techniques with the gel press!
I like the videos you have done on gel press. This is something new to me and it is fun. Also my tshirts are worn like yours and they are so comfortable!!!
Oh thank you for another great technique for using gel press. I'm currently finishing up some cards using my gel press backgrounds. Even if your mojo is hiding, having great backgrounds ready to go means that there's a card in waiting on your desk. Today's cards are all beautiful and I have stamps in my stash that will work beautifully with this technique from today! Hope your sweat shirt worked like magic!
WOW! Thanks for this wonderful video and for sharing your fabulous cards! Sorry you're having a bad day, hope it gets better! Comfy clothes are nice to have when you're having one of those days. Take care.
Great video. I hope doing it picked up your spirits seeing the beauty you created knowing the joy it will bring to the card recipients and video watchers. Take care.
I absolutely love that you found “the gel press!” Now we all benefit from your experimenting! Most of us do our crafting in crazy clothes oftentimes at different segments of the day. There’s one gal who almost always does her watercoloring painting at night after her kids are tucked in, in her BATHROBE! What a gal! No apologies as it is just the way it is. Being a professional doesn’t mean we can’t be real. Also The Comforter is there all the time to help us on the rocky road of life if we want Him to.
I finally bought a Gel Press...you can't stop doing videos using it now! 😂 Just kidding - do what you want, but if you make more, I'm just saying I'm here for them. 😉 This technique is BRILLIANT. Thank you! 😘 PS - I'm hanging out in a comfy sweatshirt. For basically the past year. 🤷♀️😂 I'm sorry you had a bad day. 💜
Thanks you so much for sharing with us all these techniques on gel press!! Your video as usual are clear in details and packed with so many useful suggestions. I am only starting on all these crafts projects since last year Oct... and these crafts really provided me a therapeutic feeling (same like to you) on most weekends, I love playing with stamping , die cut, cards/bookmarks making etc. Hope you feel much better after all the crafting, take care and may you have great days ahead! ♡♡♡
I love your reasoning for the frayed sleeves, though I don't think you should ever need to apologize for what you're wearing during a video :) I love all of your gel press videos, but for some reason THIS ONE made me actually drop everything to go buy a gel press and brayer. Thank you for sharing!
@@jennifermcguireink Really? You put out all this good into the world - not to mention such amazing content - and someone would have said something about frayed cuffs? I don’t understand people sometimes :( Hope your bad day has passed. Thanks for all you give - you’re a born teacher and I’m always excited when I see that you’ve uploaded a new video.
Cool cards Jennifer! I did my alcohol gel press prints, last week, then lifted them with alcohol lift ink. Yes, twofers are a card makers Nirvana! Thanks for posting, and repeat like my grandma use to say, ” This too shall pass!” Stay safe, stay strong! 🥰👍🏾🪅
Sorry you are having a bad. BLESS YOUR HEART...it is so about time someone focused on crafters using what they already have instead of constantly selling us something else. KUDOS
I just want to thank you so much for your TH-cam demonstrations. I love how you encourage individualism. Your are loved and appreciated. Even though I am an older gal, learning some new techniques makes my day. Thank you Jennifer 💞
Gosh..... BEAUTIFUL!!!! All of them. I have watched every video of you using the gel-press, and yes, I am convinced, I need to buy a gel-press and a tim holtz brayer.
I love the fact that you’re doing jail press the more you do with videos with it the more I am learning. And thank you so much for naming the colors down at the bottom I have Gina’s colors so it’s really nice when you mention the color name
I already love you and your videos so much - but to also know you are a Billy Joel fan, too, just makes my day!!! I mainly went to him in concert (many times) in Ohio so we may even have been at the same concert! I still have all my Billy Joel concert t-shirts, too!
It’s been raining here in my country town in Western Australia for the last couple of days. We have local flooding and rivers instead of streets. Good excuse to stay home and play with ink! I have two gel presses; a 4x6 and 8x 11. Looks like I need to track down a 5x 7 too! Lots of things are hard to get in Australia at the moment. Thank you for the added comment that distress oxide inks can be used too as that’s what I have most of. Keep the fun techniques coming!
So I ended up spending quite a few hours with my little gel press. I didn’t have a lot of success with the lifting technique but it was still fun anyway. As it turns out, my little gel plate is actually 3 x 5 so it isn’t a great size for standard cards. Then I had another idea; I put my big gel press on my glass mat, with a piece of card under it the same size I was printing on. I could then lay my printing card onto the press and know it would be in the right place. It worked a treat and I was able to print larger prints than the smaller plate. Now I have to make all the cards!
What a wonderful video! I’d watched the other gel press videos but I don’t have the oxide inks. I was so excited to see this one! You are so appreciated! ❤️
Hey Jennifer! Just wanted to let you know that I’m loving your gel press series! And I will be praying for you to feel better soon. Have a blessed weekend.
What a great technique for so many of my outline stamps that I don’t have the patience to color!! Thank you for filming even when you’re having a bad day. Great reminder we can use creativity and productivity to feel better - or at least not let them totally get in the way! Warm best wishes to you.
Hi Jennifer, I love your videos. I love the way you present them. This is a great demonstration! I love both looks. The first pass of the second generation image can be used as a watermark where you can build up the background with script ink or light embossing. You've given me great ideas! Thank you!
Another wonderful video from you Jennifer! Love how you show the different ways to use the gel press. I had to pause the video to order one and also the ginakdesigns kit and some of my first dye inks from her as well. Looking forward to playing when I receive them in the mail. Thank you for taking the time to do the videos and reminding us of the many ways to use new and past stamps together. Have a wonderful day! 😊
Its amazing how an old shirt (or comfort food, or a bath, a hot chocolate, etc) can make you feel. I have a couple of my dad’s old shirts and wear them now and then, and make me miss him a tiny bit less. We all have something that just makes our days feel better... never need to apologize for that! As an aside, I now really want a gel press 🤣
I have a gel press, but don’t use it that often! I’ve never seen this technique and it’s pretty cool!! Thank you and now maybe I’ll use my gel press more often now. ❤️❤️❤️
Sorry you’re having a bad day but want to say that you brighten my day with your techniques & your wonderful ideas.....love this technique❤️ I will definitely will out my gel press!
Love your mission for this year! And honey, if there were ever a time for old t-shirts, it would be NOW. ‘Tis the season for soft clothes. 😉 Holding out hope in a risen Savior for your hard days. ❤️🙏🏾
