@@PrismWizard omg you're right! It does make sense💕💕 also that we get to see a tender moment between Pam and Michael and it's cute because Pam has always thought of Michael as being an a-hole sometimes and Dylan is revealed to be an a-hole with Gretchen so both scenes are like the women seeing the good side of someone who's not always nice to them
They’re all “Kier’s children”-Harmony, Natalie, Seth-you can sense the underlying sibling rivalry in every interaction. Ricken, Rebek, and the rest of those oddballs? They’re Kier’s children too. Each of them has a role to play in Kier’s grand design.
“The After hours” (title of second to last episode of this season) is twilight zone episode about a lady who ||forgets that she’s not really human, but a mannequin who is allowed to take human form for one month per year.
Pure speculation, but my guess is a week in advance. A few larger creators got 6 episodes early. I would imagine/hope episodes are being released to them one at a time a week in advance, likely under lock and key. I would guess they get a password to view the next episode direct in a platform If they got all 6 episodes early and at once, I would be kind of pissed since that would warp a lot of theory videos
the " inclusive recanononized Kier " was master stroke (wow, I wrote that. gonna leave it there). every black employee in a corporate setting has had these "what the fuck?!" ass moments in the workplace when they think they're doing DEI in some deeply empathetic way. and it's usually a big, hard misstep. it'll make you spit out the kool-aid FAST. that may have happened with Seth. and I love that they didn't even bother to change the color of the eyes.
Had to hit pause to say yet again…There is no “is that Helena on the severed floor debate” anymore. It’s Helena. If Irving’s clammed up behavior around her and surrounding the events of the OTC night wasn’t already confirmation enough that he KNOWS that’s not Helly… the review from the wrap praises Britt lowers fantastic acting as an outie undercover as her innie. But I digress… we don’t even need the wrap as confirmation. We watched Helena get jealous over Helly’s kiss. Helena has every motivation to go take over the relationship she envies that her subhuman innie has and going on to the severed floor as her outie to undermine the severed employees revolution is the perfect cover for her family excusing that behavior. We also saw Irving refuse to tell his story after asking Helena about her telling a “night gardener” about lumon which is CLEARLY A LIE. Why would Helly lie to the MDR team? She wouldn’t. That’s Helena. It’s meant to clearly be Helena. We’re debating something that is fully not a debate.
you forgot to bring up that cobel probably ran from helena since the man she was with has a striking resemblance to Baird Eagan, one of the statues of the founders in the first season, especially with the clip you used showing how the shot focused on him right before she backed off horrified.
Did anyone see Mark praying at the foot of that patients bed on his knees in that second painting that Milchek was gifted? He saw something that was serious enough he hid those paintings… check it out
Did you mention how Gretchen was in purple, color used in the "propaganda video" room? seems purple, a red/blue (outie/innie) mix is used in manipulation scenes that have to do with the outside
This video blew my mind!!! So well done. Hats off to you. You made me consider things I have not thought about or heard elsewhere. Love it! So excited and subscribed!
22:59 The wavelength thing REALLY reminded me of the game Soma, it has very similar themes of existentialism, personhood and self. The premise of Severance reminding me so much of it is part of the reason I decided to watch it finally.
Gretchen is the name of the love interest in Faust as part of the eternal feminine. The whole thing involves him wronging several women in his life, with versions of the play ending in these women merging together to absolve him of his sins as he understands what he put them through. Faust is considered to be the greatest german play of all time, and has some of the mystic themes that Lumon's immortal spirituality of Kier Eagan runs off of.
On the reintegration machine we see wires of six colors and she mentions five brain waves. Black (administration), blue (MDR), yellow (mammalian), green (O and D). We see pink and red too. I think there are two departments we haven’t met yet.
When Brienne of Tarth(Gwendoline Christie) from GOT popped up her head in the goat room I lost it completely! It was the best moment! I love her sooo much and Dylan’s wife I love her from nurse Jackie.. anyhoo stellar casting and I don’t want to give anything else away! I looove this show 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻☺️🤓🤓🤓😉❤️🥰
I found it really interesting that you can see Marc’s Bellybutton in the goat scene but you can’t see Helena’s. I know that is because of her high skirt but I still think that was on purpose. She is one of the Eagans so maybe that’s supposed to show again that she is different to normal people.
The detail about Gemma’s body being burned makes me think she was never actually in a car accident and the whole thing was staged. I don’t think lumon has the tech to heal burned bodies although they can mess with people’s minds. My theory is that Gemma elected to undergo some kind of procedure lumon/reghabi offered her, unbeknownst to Mark. Either something went wrong and lumon had to cover up their fuckup or maybe from the beginning they were planning to disappear her. Reghabi definitely knows a lot more than she’s letting on, I think she is hiding the truth from mark bc she knows he wouldn’t trust her if he knew.
Also, are we gonna talk about the fact that the goat people look either like they’re dead, or like they’ve been kept alive since many centuries? Or maybe the goat people are homeless severed people, like from the 1st experiences and they only have green and blue in their chips (would explain the behaviour along with the line about the outie being good at stargazing)
Dudee!!! You catch everything lol. I didn’t even think to consider anything about the cartoon the kids were watching. Crazy catch. I’m really trying to stay on the Helly R train but each episode is making it harder. She seems way too chipper now and not at all like old Helly. Hmm 🤔
Thank you for this fun recap/theory video. I'm glad to have found your channel and look forward to future episode theories. What was funny to me was the reference to Danger Mouse which was a cartoon that was piped into Nigerian TV when I was kid. It was one of many pop culture bricks in the long post-colonial British project of endearing the children of their former colonies to their former "masters". "Soft" diplomacy at it's finest. So, I totally buy your idea that the cartoons are probably not as benign as they seem. Wild how art follows art and vice versa. lol
HOLY CRAP YES ! I think you just proved something amazing. Ok so I was watching the scene with Helena and Cobel. And about 10 seconds before Cobel stopped and took off I full on Leo pointed at the TV and said “don’t go with her. She’s going to kill you.” Then of course Cobel stops. And gets in her car and bolts. Here’s the thing. I had NO CLUE AT ALL , why Cobel should be afraid or distrusting of Helena. I even asked in another thread “hey why was I as distrusting of Helena as Cobel eventually would be. And then your video hit the nail on the head. Helena uses the words “let’s reset” before calling the board to see if they are available to speak with Cobel. I think Cobel and the audience were supposed to be alerted to the idea that Lumon would gladly wipe the mind of anyone they see as a threat if they needed to. Now I’m not necessarily suggesting Cobel has a severance chip and could be given the “clean slate” protocol or anything. But I wouldn’t put it past them to let’s say cause an accidental death like Gemma’s and then use the persons recently deceased but still functioning brain as a chipped blank slate? Seriously pat yourself on the back for catching the language use here and a tangible example of a show successfully implanting a subliminal idea into the audiences mind which is just *chefs kiss* next level writing for a show about different forms of controll. Standing O sir.
YUP!!!! She knew they would turn her into her mother (who is probably living in lumon). They probably “reset” her mother when she passed (assuming this happened due to the hospital band and breathing tubes being shown so often). That probably terrified her and she ran off knowing if she went back in there not in the position she wants to be in, she’d never truly see her mother as her daughter ever again! Just my thoughts idk Insane!
The severance floor can’t be a non physical „digital matrix“. Jelly hangs herself in the elevator and she threatens to cut her fingers. Dylan is wounded after tackled by milchek etc etc. No. The only thing that could be, is that everything is a simulation, so the town of kier, too. Because the outside is kinda weird, too. For example: why do they all drive old cars 70s-90s?
We've had no time alone with Helly this season. She's so reserved, she doesn't jump into things anymore, she's not as rebellious. Either she was reactivated severely reprimanded after the incident to the point she's unnaturally quiet or that ain't our Helly...
it will be really crazy funny if Kier's final goal is turning people in actual goats; I mean, the whole project can be transfer the innies minds into the animals, erase the outties personalities via the MDR dept (that's what the numbers are), leaving Kier as the shepherd of a world wide herd. That can explain why the goats are important to gave their own dept, what the baby ones have to be ready for, what they do in the testing room and what happened to Ms Cassey....just imagine Mark looking for his wife only to find out that she is caged in a goat body now
Wow, that goes well with Helena’s question to Mark “Imagine we find Gemma and she’s in the goat cage, what are going to do about it?” Not the precise wording, but you get the message.
@@svkva yeah, I find the way dhe acts kinda odd, like a robot, like she was still adapting in her body; plus, I just watched a video with all the times she was on screen and notice she's wearing red in her last wellness session with Mark, being red the color of the outtie's world (the innies always wear blue), so she definitely was a failed product
One thing no one has mentioned so far: why Natalie goes to convince Ricken to adopt his book to Lumon? Until that point only Milchick did the outie visits and Natalie was just a proxy for the board. Even Cobel's visits went under the radar. Great video btw, def will follow your content through this season :)
22:56 - that 4 circle pattern looks like the little pattern we saw in the frame of ms casey at the end of this season´s first episode. May be a coicidence but if it´s not then it further proves they are really working on the human mind. (im talking about the 4 circles shown in the left inferior corner of the cold harvor case file).
i did not read "chill" at all from natalie i thought the actress did an amazing job showing repressed embarassment her face almost cracks for a second there then goes back to toothpaste commercial smile. may be worth a rewatch
Someone else in chat mentioned Irv works or worked at Lumon as an outtie. If so it explains why he’s caught on to Helena on the testing floor and what messages to send to his innie
1:01 I think Helly was woken up again after the OTC and threatened/manipulated into not telling the rest of the MDR team what/who she really is, and that’s why she’s acting so weird. I could definitely be wrong but I have a hard time thinking it’s Helena down there
I thought Dylan’s kids names were just members of the justice system Jim (James Comey) - former director of the FBI Ruth (Ruth Ginsburg) - former Supreme Court justice Merrick (Merrick Garland) - former attorney general
Natalie was not chill with Milcheck. She and Milcheck were having a moment recognizing how messed up it was that they were given blackface paintings. But, it was too dangerous to say that to each other out loud.
@@_G_H_0_S_T Oops!! Thanks for telling me, I must have been half asleep when I wrote that!! I've edited it to save anyone else having to bother to correct my dumb ass!! lol
I was really hoping that you’d have an opinion on the two different screens we see from Milchick’s computer, showing some kind of surveillance over someone, potentially one of the 4. 🤔
“Journey to hell” is what Helly R suggests to Mark when Helly goes up to deliver the video she made to her outie. She says, “I’d tell you to go to hell, but you’re already there.”
i think maybe the goats could just be livestock to make food for the people who live in lumon. Just like they send the 3d printed objects down, they would also send goat meat and milk. The guy in the nursery in season 1 said those goats weren’t ready because they were literally lambs and therefore not in time to be slaughtered yet
I have seen certain videos with salt spread on a surface which is subjected to sound. The salt forms into distinct shapes with different notes/ frequencies. So, I’m wondering what that particular pattern actually is-anyone???
In season 1, we see briefly, in the newspaper about the senator who supports Lumon, a lign talking about Ricken and his books. And there’s a second title coming along, something about welcoming Kier’s principles in your life, something like that. So considering this episode, I think he’s been working with Lumon for quite a while. Which seemed strange to me because he didn’t seem to be quite fond of severed people. But maybe it’s not because he’s all about equality and rights, but rather because, as a Lumon’s associate, he despites them and just has a superiority complex… I don’t know.
I doubt it. He knows them likely from having to interview and talk with them for the whole severance procedure and rules. I doubt Seth has much free time in his personal life lol
She either calls him "seth" because that's how he introduced himself to her (her not working with or for him so there's no obligation to adress him formally as "Mr. Milchick"... Or she actually works at lumen and is a superior to "seth". Notice how everyone superior to anyone at lumon addresses them with their first name instead of "mr./mrs."? While its "mr. and mrs." The other way around?
You deserve more views. Of course it’s all speculation. But your research into all of the very small Easter eggs ie the cartoon episode is commendable. Great video. Subbed.
@@JBuckStudios I thought she was a cop at first too but it seemed more like an EMT outfit to me, especially with the color of her shirt. I guess we'll see!
New subscriber here! Impressed with your work! How do you make these so fast? I’m sure it took many hours but I still can’t believe you get this out the same night of the episode being released. This would take me several days to even write up my thoughts. Thank you- you do a brilliant job. 👏 👏 🥇
Thinking about it, is the balloons supposed to represent re-integration. I think I heard from this channel or another about how it represents the dolly zoom, and how it changes the perception, inflating like a balloon. When he leaves them, deflated, is it a easter egg of integration, and that there is now one person.
So much to love about this episode, although one thing is bugging me about Dylan. When he asks if he’s a fuck up… why would he think that if they are now supposed to be famous ? Wouldn’t he want to know about his fame ? I think Gretchen does security at Lumon, and they both know Milkshake on the outside , as friends of the family perhaps. I think Gretchen was worried about Dylan losing his job again and agreed to do some damage control and manipulation for the sake of their livelihood. She can’t afford for him to lose his job at Lumon.
Maybe the work is about digitally, storing and refining, personalities or souls. The printing department is for replacing people and items out in the world. The people being replaced, might not realize they have been severed, and now act on behalf of lumen to continue their ambition. The goats house the severed aspects of the people being replaced, they temporarily live in the goats body, and are being punished in mock hell while lumen drives their body? Idk and what if the resistance is actually severing mark a third time, making a new channel for them to Jack in and hijack him, by combining the previous two into one…
how ‘bout that little play barn in the baby goat room? it looked like it was 3D printed like the watering cans at O&D. also, your innie has major Blippi vibes when he waves goodbye to the camera. 😂
@ no way! ahhh hahaha. i was hoping you wouldn’t be offended at my comment but i’m not sure you can be since other people legit thought you were him. haha
I love your point out to the tv show the kids were watching. So intentional on the creators part! I totally think it’s some propaganda for kids. I also don’t know if the board is a person/s as Natalie referred to as “it wants”

The series The Office as a whole is about people’s work personas/work lives. I’m sure the show drew some amount of inspiration from parts of The Office.
Wait, whhhhhaaaatttt?!? Ohh there’s about to be some WRIRD stuff coming up
@@JBuckStudios Also now we know the 5 boxes are brainwaves. Thanks to Dr. Regahbi
OMG!!!
@@JohnSmith-bq6nf Are their five boxes? Wow!
@ Look at screenshot of mark doing gemma you put numbers in 5 boxes and 4 tempers underneath each box
When she said it was a gift, I said no they did not send him paintings with a black man in them, then they revealed it.
also how long do you have to watch the new episode and then shoot and research? i‘m so impressed!!
Pure speculation, but my guess is a week in advance. A few larger creators got 6 episodes early. I would imagine/hope episodes are being released to them one at a time a week in advance, likely under lock and key. I would guess they get a password to view the next episode direct in a platform
If they got all 6 episodes early and at once, I would be kind of pissed since that would warp a lot of theory videos
Also knowing that creators got only the first 6 episodes makes me think the last few episodes of the season will be INSANE
the " inclusive recanononized Kier " was master stroke (wow, I wrote that. gonna leave it there). every black employee in a corporate setting has had these "what the fuck?!" ass moments in the workplace when they think they're doing DEI in some deeply empathetic way. and it's usually a big, hard misstep. it'll make you spit out the kool-aid FAST. that may have happened with Seth. and I love that they didn't even bother to change the color of the eyes.
You’re the 1 debating 🤷🏻♂️😂
you forgot to bring up that cobel probably ran from helena since the man she was with has a striking resemblance to Baird Eagan, one of the statues of the founders in the first season, especially with the clip you used showing how the shot focused on him right before she backed off horrified.
So far this has been the best and most accurate breakdown of this episode. Great job! You got a new a subscriber!
Thank you for being the perfect accompaniment to each Fridays episode. Fantastic
The tunnel they crawl through is an homage to the movie Being John Malkovich.
Ahhh poop, you are 100% right!
Ah yes ! Damn this ep has soooooo many easter eggs and references
Ohhh thank you!!
Best Severance Recaps online. Follow this guy everywhere. Thanks for all the work you do to dissect every detail in every episode!
I found it really interesting that you can see Marc’s Bellybutton in the goat scene but you can’t see Helena’s. I know that is because of her high skirt but I still think that was on purpose. She is one of the Eagans so maybe that’s supposed to show again that she is different to normal people.
Yep! someone said Mark has an "innie" belly button, and Helly does not (can't see her's)
Your videos are helping me bridge the time between episodes. I gotta get some friends into this show!
Best severance TH-camr by far keep it up
Dudee!!! You catch everything lol. I didn’t even think to consider anything about the cartoon the kids were watching. Crazy catch.
I’m really trying to stay on the Helly R train but each episode is making it harder. She seems way too chipper now and not at all like old Helly. Hmm 🤔
Agreed. The creators know they are toying with us, everyone is split on it being Helly R/Helena lol
She looks like she's wearing a security guard uniform not a police officer uniform
Agree. Crappy job, night shift.
Just my thoughts idk
Insane!
That’s kind of the path my thoughts are going down. Idk how yet, but I don’t think we’re seeing things how they actually are
We've had no time alone with Helly this season. She's so reserved, she doesn't jump into things anymore, she's not as rebellious. Either she was reactivated severely reprimanded after the incident to the point she's unnaturally quiet or that ain't our Helly...
Well I hope "thank you" feels like a perk... appreciate how you go the extra mile researching and tying things to culture beyond the show's universe
it will be really crazy funny if Kier's final goal is turning people in actual goats; I mean, the whole project can be transfer the innies minds into the animals, erase the outties personalities via the MDR dept (that's what the numbers are), leaving Kier as the shepherd of a world wide herd.
I watched all of the S2E3 reviews - this is the best one.
Please enjoy all breakdowns equally. Thank you.

I love the cow bell, everything with Walken in it should have more cowbell.
I got Being John malkovich vibes
Especially when the board seem to be talking and possibly seeing through Natalie's eyes
i did not read "chill" at all from natalie i thought the actress did an amazing job showing repressed embarassment her face almost cracks for a second there then goes back to toothpaste commercial smile. may be worth a rewatch
I could definitely be wrong but I have a hard time thinking it’s Helena down there
I LOVE THESE!!!!!!!!
That Danger Mouse pull was impressive
You are the best man, always finding stuff I missed in your videos.
I thought Dylan’s kids names were just members of the justice system
Jim (James Comey) - former director of the FBI
Ruth (Ruth Ginsburg) - former Supreme Court justice
Merrick (Merrick Garland) - former attorney general
Ohhhh could be! Great catch and connection
Natalie was not chill with Milcheck. She and Milcheck were having a moment recognizing how messed up it was that they were given blackface paintings. But, it was too dangerous to say that to each other out loud.
The black goat dude immediately reminded me of Black Philip from The VVitch movie
Great video! Love the uniform. Subscribed.
Respect 🤝 appreciate it
Love your vids😂❤
Wow, what a thorough breakdown!
Ricken is her husband not her brother... Mark is her brother. She was talking to devon about Mark not Ricken.

Dude amazing turn around time
I was really hoping that you’d have an opinion on the two different screens we see from Milchick’s computer, showing some kind of surveillance over someone, potentially one of the 4. 🤔
This was the best episode so far. Absolutely amazing!!
Right before Irv showed his drawings, there is something moving on the ceiling. What was it?
Glitch may be
Coebel being kissing
Kate barrow from holes movie is so ionic lol
“Journey to hell” is what Helly R suggests to Mark when Helly goes up to deliver the video she made to her outie. She says, “I’d tell you to go to hell, but you’re already there.”
Another great connection and clue!
Dude, how did you record and edited this so quickly? 😂😂😂😂😂
He’s either god or he has a deal with Apple TV lmfao. Some of these guys get to see an episode early & I’m JEALOUS! 😂
Using goat DNA to 3D print humans and trying to resurrect the CEO .. while being a matrix.. familiar yet mysterious..I love this show
i think maybe the goats could just be livestock to make food for the people who live in lumon. Just like they send the 3d printed objects down, they would also send goat meat and milk. The guy in the nursery in season 1 said those goats weren’t ready because they were literally lambs and therefore not in time to be slaughtered yet
yeah that fan fiction theory clunked into place in my brain way too well. think you nailed it
I have seen certain videos with salt spread on a surface which is subjected to sound.
Do you guys think seth knows dylan and his wife closely on the outside
Subbed.
14:33 Oh that's a good point. There's probably a good reason they showed up Gretchen is an EMT.
I couldn’t tell if she was a cop or EMT. EMT would be a much easier way to weave into that theory
@@JBuckStudios I thought she was a cop at first too but it seemed more like an EMT outfit to me, especially with the color of her shirt. I guess we'll see!
Great video. Very in depth!
New subscriber here! Impressed with your work! How do you make these so fast? I’m sure it took many hours but I still can’t believe you get this out the same night of the episode being released. This would take me several days to even write up my thoughts. Thank you- you do a brilliant job. 👏 👏 🥇
Many people in media get the episodes early so they can make these videos.
Thought we were finally going to get our answer when they had to show their bellies, still dying to know if Helly is an innie or an outtie!
I feel like there’s been enough teasing, answers need to come out way!
Lol, I see what you did there, we may never know.
I honestly think that the writers are using this fan fiction for future series.
Probably lol
Do you get to watch the episodes in advance? How far?
Thinking about it, is the balloons supposed to represent re-integration. I think I heard from this channel or another about how it represents the dolly zoom, and how it changes the perception, inflating like a balloon. When he leaves them, deflated, is it a easter egg of integration, and that there is now one person.
What is Covelbig looking at when she stops her car at the start of the episode. The breathing tube or something else?
So much to love about this episode, although one thing is bugging me about Dylan. When he asks if he’s a fuck up… why would he think that if they are now supposed to be famous ? Wouldn’t he want to know about his fame ?
I think Gretchen does security at Lumon, and they both know Milkshake on the outside , as friends of the family perhaps. I think Gretchen was worried about Dylan losing his job again and agreed to do some damage control and manipulation for the sake of their livelihood. She can’t afford for him to lose his job at Lumon.
Waffle party for Jared B.
We will let innie Jared B. Know of his accomplishments.. Praise Kier 🙏🏻
When I saw the episode and saw the severance scene, I thought about the deneuralization process in Men in Black II.
how ‘bout that little play barn in the baby goat room?
it looked like it was 3D printed like the watering cans at O&D.
also, your innie has major Blippi vibes when he waves goodbye to the camera. 😂
Hahaha funny story… a friend of a friend legit thought I was Blippy for 5 years until he finally asked me, because his kid wanted to take a picture 😅
@ no way! ahhh hahaha. i was hoping you wouldn’t be offended at my comment but i’m not sure you can be since other people legit thought you were him. haha
@ All good! I got a good laugh out of it
There is NO WAY this is Helly R!!!!! 100% Helena. Everything from the way she speaks, to her body language and things she does is Helena.
You’re probably right, but I’m going down like the captain of the Titanic 🫡🚢🧊
Good analysis.
Most people seem to overlook the ocult symbolism and clearly satanic messages on the show.
I love your point out to the tv show the kids were watching. So intentional on the creators part! I totally think it’s some propaganda for kids. I also don’t know if the board is a person/s as Natalie referred to as “it wants”
They used an osciloscope for the fancy brain operation...
