I saw your thumb nail and had to stop by for a visit. My son is a wildlife manager on a farm, his boss loves to hunt deer and turkeys. Wasn't many turkeys because of predators, so he set traps and the past few years he has trapped well over 400 racoons and possum. And the turkey population has exploded now...his boss loves that. And I love taters, keep on trapping! Thanks for the visit...Ken
That shows the importance of trapping to keep the proper balance! Thanks for the awesome comment!
Good morning Brother!
Yes, I will never bet against you! I'm sure you will get a bumper crop of spuds. I always like the way a mouldboard turns the soil.
Well done, David , on catching 2 predators so close together like that. Gotta keep em thinned out!
You folks have a blessed day.
I was very surprised by the double! Pretty obvious the possum was caught first 😂😂😂
Where there is a will there is a way. We enjoyed those potatoes at your house that you grew last year.
Yes indeed! It pays to never give up!😎
Vultures are one of the Best clean-crews in Nature , and you are right , they leave behind their "Gifts" . .
More gifts than Frank ever left!😂
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures GOOD POINT > ! < ........... heyy , I saw where you were talking with FRANK's Son and asking about FRANK's whereabouts .. Did you ever find out WHERE FRANK was ABOUT ?? ... and had he absconded with any choice meats??
@HighVerbal The meat is all present and accounted for…… but as for Frank…….. he’s still mia pow!
Awesome job thinking outside the box! I like planting my potatoes under mulch they are so much easier to harvest and come out cleaner. The only problem is a good source of mulch. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
That’s definitely a great way to do it!
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures it can be pouring rain and you can still plant using mulch
Yes indeed! So many benefits!
Turkeys are definitely more desirable than coyotes and possum. Job well done. Oh, nice work with the potatoes, too! 😂👍
You got that right! Glad we got em!
Glad you got them young bucks ta help. !
Yes indeed!!!
Great set of 4 row planters
😂😂😂
Looks awesome, good crew!
Absolutely awesome crew!
Great catch
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure!
Nice job on the coyote trapping
I’m tickled to get that rascal!😂
Have great day brother!
You too!
Great jobMcGie boys love the video
Thanks brother!
Great catches! Absolutely necessary. We don't see nearly as many turkeys around our backwoods area of lower SC. Can sure hear them coyotes yippin though.
You got that right! They gotta eat if they’re alive.
Great video brother. We will definitely be trying your potato method. We are also late planting ours. We had some tractor issues.
Best of luck!
Another very interesting video Thank you 😊😊😊😊
Glad you enjoyed it
❤❤❤❤wow love great children u have!!! ..
Thanks!
Great video I can tell that dirt was a little heavy by the shine of the dirt I'm surprised it showed up in the video
You and me both!
Good job get rid of them predators 👍💥🐝
Thanks!!
Another one bites the dust
I’m very happy about it too!
Good job
Thanks
Fantastic video! Love the new methods.
Im using a freezer with a thermostat plug to refrigerate my taters. Seeds ready at the right time are hard to come by.
That’s exactly right! Awesome job!
Great video thanks for sharing keep the cameras rolling from Florida
I'm trying something
new this year. Planting my potatoes in tires.
Have a wonderful day!
That looks like that will work. Enjoyed video take care
Thanks, you too!
Wow thats a good job brother that will work good.. I have never seen it done that way but it certainly saved alot time
Right on brother! We will see if it works!
Nice video brother 👍
Thanks!
Love watching a lot of the videos. Am I correct in assuming that you live off-grid? If so, how do y’all stay cool in the summer? Though I currently live in NE Florida, I lived in Tennessee for 16 years, so I know it gets hot.
The worst is at night for a couple months per year….. we run a generator that powers our fans so we can sleep!😂😂😂
I'm not much of a betting man but I think it will be fine.... 😂
😂😂😂
As my late father would say (when he was shown something he had never seen or done before), Ain’t that something “. 🤔
😂😂😂
That not a lotta work is right up my alley being my only allergy is that I’m allergic to work. At 74 I’m buying my taders at the grocery store
I can definitely understand that!!
👍
Good morning brother!
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures good morning. Hope you guys have a great day.
We will! Thanks! You got a very early start today!
later taters and harmin varmints lol
😂😂😂😂
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures hide them tears mcgie its taters not onions lol
I regret to inform you that I’m on full carnivore diet now and don’t eat taters anymore 😂
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures well come on down for some blue cat. we been catching a bunch of big ones.
@@longbowbanjoAL Oh that sounds great! I ate crappie last night and butchered two pigs today. Barely surviving! 😎😜
What time of year is this just wondering you usely get your taters in early then this seams like you did last year
Yes it was April 13th ….. very late for us. But we had wet weather and lots of other work keeping us busy!😂😂😂
2nd!
You’re number one in the number two business!!!😂😂😂
9:53 😂 David can flex that over the lads...well I caught coyote and possum on one trap 😂
Yes be he can! He’s pretty humble, but this one might get the best of him!😂😂😂
@@McGieHomesteadAdventures wanna watch out Mcgie he will become a professional Hunter 🤣 Just Leave David to the trapping I say 😅
