The apple ecosystem is far superior to any other android option so they can crank out as many pretty pieces of hardware they like but I will never go to the darker android side.
Let's have a discussion about what a phone really is and why we allow very poor battery life by adding all these so called "features". These days my Apple Watch, my iPhone, iPad and Airpods have a prominent place on the chargers. But, and I am sure Angelica will find out too, the ecosystem is something else.
Ooooh it looks like a powder compact with a mirror thing and it folds and has like, widgets? Talk about a vanity project....the first foldable failed badly so I do not have much confidence. Also: Spy Flip is going to break, badly, or drown, or just burn out, and be even less fixable, whichever way I don't see this thing lasting beyond a controlled environment with secure conditions. How do you even fit a protective case around that thing? Also: what a transparent attempt to reel in a generation. If they call it the BoomerFlipPhone they’ll sell a billion though. They like slow equipment...
Ditched my iPhone 13 Pro for the Z flip 4. iPhone was definitely a reliable phone but it got really boring after a while and this is so much more fun. Loving it. Also got $875 in trade in which was excellent. 👌👌
I just sent my Flip4 back into Samsung for a return. As much as I loved it. For me if was just too small and the battery drained very fast if I wanted to heavy use my phone. I had to charge the Z Flip4 upwards of 3 times a day heavy use. Being stuck at home with no Internet needing to have hotspot on so I could turn on my PS5 🤣. The Flip was great for getting photos you just can't get in certain angles as apposed to normal phones. I will miss it. But after 2 weeks I could tell its not made to last long. "For me anyway" I'm going to pick up the iPhone14 Pro Max instead.

Good video. I switched from Android (mostly Samsung) to Apple about 3 years ago. I have found that it takes at least a month to really get to know a phone and it’s ecosystem well enough to evaluate it if you’re seriously considering a switch.
@@JvD1985 if you include the ecosystem, signal strength while driving, tips and tricks, etc, yes a month if you really want to do a full evaluation. Two weeks minimum. One week is not enough if you have anything else in the ecosystem that you plan to also use like a watch, AirPods, etc. There are also many tips and tricks in each OS that are hidden, but make things that you miss from the one either available in the other, or provide good substitutes. But hey, if you feel you can make a change in 1 week. More luck to you. I don’t believe anyone will change and be happy with that change if that’s all they spent.
@@t1328 I switched from de iphone 3gs tot the samsung s2 and never changed it again untill last year. I tried the Iphone 13 pro and the 13 Mini for a month or 3 and didnt liked it at all. The hardware is amazing (premium feel etc) but the rest isnt it for me. But anyway... still 2weeks-1month?? Bro, I work 50+ hours a week nd have 2kids nd im busy af. But I never ever needed more then 1 or 2 full days. Before I buy a specific model (mostly flagships) I already read nd saw a bunch of youtubes for all the features etc. So when I have that specific model I connect it to everything (my car, home devices etc) nd install all my apps, google accounts, private/work accounts etc. Tis takes normaly a couple of hours. After that checking all the features before bed. Next day I already know 95% of the phone. This is not only for phones.. everything that I buy I will research weeks before. Cars, phones, watches, Rc hobby, building game pc etc etc. Their always will be a feature that you didnt knew about, but I realy dont need more then 1 or 2 days (maybe 3 when Im realy busy)
I want to switch to Android, but I’m scared because I work somewhere and thus get 15% off of all purchases, so the z flip 4 would only be $850, but I have made huge purchases, some I keep, some I return, and I fear they won’t let me return anymore. I’ve only returned like twice, big purchases, but I can’t help I work there and can only get a discount there, you know? :(

I'm using the Flip 4. The battery lasts all day, and it's super quick. It fits everywhere, so convenient. I don't think I can ever go back to brick phones again

I switched to the flip 3 last year and I literally gave up any sort of gaming on it. The screen ratio makes a lot of UI elements unusable and the phone gets really hot to the touch really quickly. The battery is also quite a major concern if I plan to make it through the day without charging the phone. But after moving to the fold 4 this year I'm revisiting a lot of my games and it's amazing to play the Snapdragon 8 + gen 1 chip does run significantly cooler than the Snapdragon 888 of the last generation and that really helps with the gaming experience. I expect the experience to be better this year.
Nice to see the Editor do a video again! Congrats on officially exceeding the 1 Million now. TBH, closed, judging by your image, the Flip looks only about 1.5x the thickness of the iPhone. So really not too bad. The iPhone 14 Pro will apparently be even thicker. I think Samsung make great phones. I'd switch but I prefer Apple's ecosystem to Google's ecosystem both in use and also because I think that Apple respect your privacy a bit more.
I do think if Apple makes a flip or folding phone it would be very popular. I can already hear people saying android already did that everywhere in the comments lol For me I can understand how it would be hard to switch a phone since it’s hub of the ecosystem and iOS is very smooth. I have been using android for 2 months on my Xiaomi and I honestly prefer iOS still.

Struggle to fit in ladies pockets? The problem is ladies pockets for decades have been too small or sparse. Clothing manufacturers need to stop skimping and design bigger and sturdier pockets, especially in our mobile device lifestyle.
Been a subscriber to this channel for years. Just about at my limit with the sensational headlines in order to get more views. Understand that this is the TH-cam game these days but when your priorities change from the standards you have previously set to going after the dollar you will, naturally, disenfranchise some of your longer-term viewers.
Me too the last Samsung I used was the s7 , not really a fan of Samsung , but I do like the Samsung flip 4 , I am now currently using the iPhone 13 pro max white 128 😊 great video 👍 iPhone should make flip phones
Great review! But a suggestion, maybe in future, for display comparison. Would be nice if you can show us the brightness level which they are at before doing to comparison. I know both have different highest peak nits but would help in some way. As I’ve seen other reviewers doing such comparison in a unfair manner. 👍🏽

I would imagine that the extra brightness toggle is off by default because the screen is oled so there’s a possibility of burn in…. And the brighter the stock screen is the higher the chances it will burn in 🤷🏼♂️ I would guess

I do put all videos on fullscreen. Really hate to see black bezels. And let me say that the aspect ratio of the flip may not be perfect for TH-cam where almost all the content is in 16:9, but it's really appropriate for movies, where the aspect ratio is much wider. And...I rather loose image on TH-cam videos (which are not really that artistic and are merely informative) that loose image on movies, where every detail on frame has been calculated precisely. That being said, the flip 4 form factor is still too much long for me. I would rather have a smaller version of it.
I just ordered a flip 4, I’ll be switching from an iPhone as well. I’m nervous I won’t be able to adapt after being in the “ecosystem” for so long but with how I use my phone, it may not be too hard. I’m not a gamer or heavy phone user, I don’t use social media and I don’t take a lot of pictures so all I’ll really have to do is find replacement apps for my most used iPhone apps. Either way I’m excited, this should be fun!
Also yougotta check off the bright mode for photos and photos in pitch black can be taken with front photo and it looks like daylight, you can also use closed front screen and and access every app.

I’m now using my z fold 4 , i like the big screen as i can edit videos and upload on TH-cam . . But i do not know why , my eyes are on the z flip 4 too .. its a wonderful n pretty design and the battery life is what i like compare to last year.. i got a z flip 3 but the battery life reali battery 🪫… might consider switching over too
I would buy a Samsung in a second if it ran IOS software. The bloatware and Samsung's own apps that replace google's is horrible. I had an android phone and the experience using it was horrible. Apps on the iPhone worked great. The same apps on the Android were not as good. Why? It was so disappointing as I really wanted to ditch Apple for less expensive smart phones.
I switched from samsung to apple for a while and tried to use samsung phones in between to see if its any good. Honestly, alot of the bloat is gone and these days reviewers dont even talk about bloatware compared to past years. This year i ordered the fold 4 to see how it goes.
Every year people review phones for their camera not the actual phone...you're buying a phone not a DLSR camera. Its like if the phone is great and feature rich, it will get shit on cause of not so great camera performance.
The new 14 Pro will have no notch which is what I was waiting for. Samsung service was awful when I had one, way back so never leaving Apple. Customer service with them is A1
I'm sick and tired of carrying around a BRICK. And a flip isn't the solution either. They need to reinvent the wheel so to speak, it's been damn near 20 years we've had to live with exposed screen shattering and scratching. Time for something fresh
Angelica, you should present more videos - i like it. I‘m afraid on the form factor of the Samsung, i don‘t thing that you can easly open and handle it with one hand. I recon you cannot protect the screen - and a case will make it like a brick. Sure it is a nice smartphone and the screen is „der Hammer“ (Deutsch). i would be interested in battery consumption and a review after a while.
Funny how you all show how close the competition is right before Apple comes out with a new phone lineup. I will wager Apple will leave Samsung in the dust, again.
The phone gets very hot. I didn't notice anything until after a good week of use.. Heavy use. The first few days i hardly touched it to get a full day out of it with its battery. It's definitely an amazing phone and it's made for people on the go and just need a small compact phone. Plus taking selfies with groups in its flex mode was great! But I didn't want a phone that might last a year and I need to charge in the middle of the day. So I sent it back and I'm waiting until I can order the iPhone14 Pro Max!
These are all good points. I think I’ll get the iPhone 14 Pro Max too. I have a refurbished iPhone XR that I cracked. It’s slow af. I agree on the flip 4 only lasting a year, I’ve seen people with a row of dead pixels on the middle of their screen.

Been using for a week and apart from the battery life, it's more or less an enjoyable experience so far.

My only concern is I have heard horror stories from people who had the display just give out. Longevity is my only concern

i last switched from an iphone to de flip 3 and it was incredible for me because of the customisations - my phone looked so cute all the time!

Also yougotta check off the bright mode for photos and photos in pitch black can be taken with front photo and it looks like daylight, you can also use closed front screen and and access every app.

But i do not know why , my eyes are on the z flip 4 too .. its a wonderful n pretty design and the battery life is what i like compare to last year.. i got a z flip 3 but the battery life reali battery 🪫… might consider switching over too

I would buy a Samsung in a second if it ran IOS software. The bloatware and Samsung's own apps that replace google's is horrible. I had an android phone and the experience using it was horrible. Apps on the iPhone worked great. The same apps on the Android were not as good. Why? It was so disappointing as I really wanted to ditch Apple for less expensive smart phones.
I switched from samsung to apple for a while and tried to use samsung phones in between to see if its any good.
Honestly, alot of the bloat is gone and these days reviewers dont even talk about bloatware compared to past years.
This year i ordered the fold 4 to see how it goes.

I’m moving from the 13 pro max to the Samsung Z Fold 4, APPLE have gone boring with more or less the same iPhone every year.
That’s not even a fair comparison. The flips are in its own class on their own.
Every year people review phones for their camera not the actual phone...you're buying a phone not a DLSR camera. Its like if the phone is great and feature rich, it will get shit on cause of not so great camera performance.
Very interesting comparison very helpful obviously two different animals but provide the same features and benefits only the flip has that twist.

Z flip 4 is the best hands down... The Most stylish and Innovative mobile.
It takes more than a week to unlock the flexibility that an Android phone allows. But all the best with it. I find Apple products boring.

The new 14 Pro will have no notch which is what I was waiting for. Samsung service was awful when I had one, way back so never leaving Apple. Customer service with them is A1

I'm sick and tired of carrying around a BRICK. And a flip isn't the solution either. They need to reinvent the wheel so to speak, it's been damn near 20 years we've had to live with exposed screen shattering and scratching. Time for something fresh
Angelica, you should present more videos - i like it. I‘m afraid on the form factor of the Samsung, i don‘t thing that you can easly open and handle it with one hand. I recon you cannot protect the screen - and a case will make it like a brick. Sure it is a nice smartphone and the screen is „der Hammer“ (Deutsch). i would be interested in battery consumption and a review after a while.

The phone gets very hot. I didn't notice anything until after a good week of use.. Heavy use. The first few days i hardly touched it to get a full day out of it with its battery. It's definitely an amazing phone and it's made for people on the go and just need a small compact phone. Plus taking selfies with groups in its flex mode was great! But I didn't want a phone that might last a year and I need to charge in the middle of the day. So I sent it back and I'm waiting until I can order the iPhone14 Pro Max!
These are all good points. I think I’ll get the iPhone 14 Pro Max too. I have a refurbished iPhone XR that I cracked. It’s slow af. I agree on the flip 4 only lasting a year, I’ve seen people with a row of dead pixels on the middle of their screen.
