This phone is such a pleasure to use, the software is buttery smooth with so many options to make it yours. Samsung is knocking it out of the park with the software. Just can't say enough. Night and day from ios. Everything just works with no connection issues. Cough...Apple.

@Anshul Srivastava interesting. This is probably due to samsung using shittier processors in your country. Luckily with the s23 series that's done. You guys now get the good processors from now on. I've had countless samsung phones, and they've always been amazing, but we get the snapdragon chip here in the US all these years, like other countries are getting now.
This is a terrific phone & no matter how many reviews I see I'll never go back to a regular phone as long as they make the fold, I just upgraded my fold 3 to the fold 4 & I should receive it today. Just get it

I have been using the LGV60 for a few years and I enjoy it very much, it's like having a small portable TV, but since LG left the market, an upgrade is inevitable.
I have been using this phone for the last year and it fell from my sloppy hand on ground atleast 3-4 times till now. It is super sturdy and did not have any issues. Only the side silver got some deep scratches from the strike.
So as a long time Android user for the first time I decided to buy an iphone 14 pro max... ordered it in September 18th.. so yesterday I went to ask when will I get my phone, they said mid February... I was like whaaaat Cancelled my order and decided to buy s22 ultra or zfold4... you just made me buy z fold 4, thank you♡

Wow. I’m that guy that can’t unsee the dead pixel once it has been brought to my attention. Seeing the side by sides at 11:30 just reinforced my concern with the Apple 14’s dead pixel block rebranded as the Dynamic Island.
I was considering going with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 but since it still doesn't include an internal S-Pen slot I went with the S22 Ultra instead. It's too much of a pain to carry a bulky Fold 4 case with an external S-Pen. Thanks Ella for another great review and you have become my favorite tech TH-camr.
@@alphaspartan I prefer the the S-Pen for the fold over the built-in S-Pen. It's so much more comfortable. It's better for my hands and I use it for much longer period of time. I skipped the S22 Ultra for that reason. I like the S-Pen but I never used it much when I used my Note devices. I use my S-Pen everyday with the Fold 4.

thanks for the terrific overview of the Z FOLD4. I am really loving the huge upgrade since ZFOLD3 in terms of actual usability on the front screen and convenience of the multi-tasking, leaving camera quality aside. Now I would really appreciate it if you may be able to cover some audio quality aspects on the zFOLD4 after Samsung has acquired Harman Kardon ! Lol
I'm still on Gen 3. It still works like new. The only thing i'm noticing is the crease in the middle has gotten a little deeper. Update...... There is a black line down the middle and a week later, the right side no longer works. Was not dropped
As a Fold2 owner for the last 2 years, the lack of software support from app developers really messed up the experience with the Fold. I really hated that Instagram still doesn't work well in tablet form and there isn't a great Reddit client for the fold. My Fold also began to not lay "flat" anymore (a common problem) and the screen protector bubbles from the crease. I really hope Samsung makes some large advancements in the next few years. Hopefully lighter weight, better software and built to withstand the beach

Samsung used aluminium instead of steel. This reduces the weight of the phone, but aluminium is not a ferrous metal, so a magnetic S Pen would not work.
I’m a lifelong iPhone user and have no reason to get a new phone, but this one is super tempting… I just can’t live without iMessage, unfortunately. If Apple eventually supports RCS, maybe I can one day make the transition
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and a Fold 4. As great as iPhones are, I have found myself rarely touching my iPhone anymore. This Samsung Fold 4 is just so amazing it's rendered my iPhone useless, save for replying to the occasional person who insists on texting me on that number because they've bought into the whole "green bubble" silliness. If you have the means to have both phones, I highly recommend doing so. At least until you realize how seldomly you'll use the iPhone afterwards and go back to carrying just one phone - the Fold 4.

I have to disagree with your statement on the air actions not being worth it. I use the screenshot one multiple times a day. it's so much easier than the other screenshot methods and goes right into editing mode for cropping and drawing on the screenshot. I also use the camera selfie one shutter often as well. Same thing just way easier than trying to hit the button on the phone. The rest are kind of gimmicky but those two in particular are sooo good.

Not bad. I appreciate the review, but what about the various damage points found online and in samsung forums? Regarding the : stress cracks , and screen lifting, etc? Has anyone had experiences with those issues? I did hear that Samsung tries not to cover the repair or replacement even with coverage. For normal wear/usage. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Def wanted to consider the Z fold for this holiday purchase in gifts
After owning the zfold for quite a while I can say two things: the "stress cracks" is actually the screen protector film coming off. It looks like cracks. And two, the repair is dependable. The screen lifting is something I never gotten. The only thing I don't like is how bad the crease line has gotten, but it doesn't ruin the phone at all. So far so good. But get the fold 5.
I'm currently looking here as my Galaxy Z Flip 5G screen lifted today causing the top screen to turn black (not work). I've only used it indoors at home for years. Took it out with me for a day now it's broken. Yes the fold or flip screen tecnology is not fully developed so think twice before buying.
The crease is the least of my problems. We are talking a folding screen. Not to mention that it is hardly noticeable. The perk is that big screen and the S-pen integration. I do my Excel sheet working flawlessly. Watched a full movie with it and I was flabbergasted by the sound. Also, with music, it has notable bass.
Can you make a video of how to switch to Samsung from iPhone or how to get out of the Apple ecosystem? I want a Samsung so bad and I have tried… FIVE TIMES but I always come back to Apple. HELP! 😩
nice to see a late review once all the hype has died down. i daily drive a flip 4, and have never felt the need to use a fold. this quick review does tempt me this late after release. great points for the form factor. perhaps next year when trading in for fold 5 i may make the leap. not sure i could give up the pocketability of the flip though.
FIrst of all, I love your videos Ella S2 I bought the Flip 3 because of your review haha I have 1 question though, what about the mark/line that appears in the middle where it folds after a while, I'd say like, 6+ months ? yup, love those foldable phones even tho I honestly never played with one, but it does seem that the phone’s crease may never go away due to the phone’s foldability. I just can imagine using the S-pen as an actual pointing devise kind of like a classic Wii controller and even controlling the phone’s camera from a distance. Another so good review, Ella thankx. I would use the z-Flip foldable on the go, and the larger foldable phone at home attached to a keyboard and some sort of pointing devise via dongles and used it like an all-in-one mini personal work station, if compatible with such external devices like some phones, heck I would even try to install Windows and and make it a Windows Phone mini PC, seems that that are ways to do that!😅 Cool light like shadows on the background! 😸🥰📱🖥⌨️🖲⭐️💎
This might be my next phone coming from a long time apple user. I think I’m done with apple for now. Just haven’t liked the devices they are coming out with. I’m an old school person and they just be doing too much on these phones these days. Ether this phone, galaxy ultra 22, or z flip. I try the iPhone X, didn’t like it, iPhone XS, 12pro, 13pro, and now 14 pro max. All returned after using for 2-3 weeks. The last iPhone I really enjoyed and loved was iPhone 8 Plus. However since they are not making that type of phone anymore then maybe for now done. I hated the notch on the iPhones, and the dynamic island is okay, better then a notch but I don’t think I’m feeling it ether because I don’t like notches or cut outs on my phones. But with Samsung they have a punch hole which I can live with that and you can always hide it in settings if I wanna remove it, but with apple you can’t do that. Which is a big turn off and one the main reasons why I just might switch.
i just picked up the 1TB model , taking me a while to arrange both home screens, Nova launcher doesn't play nice as it just mirrors each screen and you lose the task bar, but thanks to good lock i can adjust the samsung UI icon layout, also need to buy new mounts for my car and bike, the finger print scanner is super fast much better than s22 with glass screen protector, im a bit nervous about my purchase, mainly because its a thicker phone, though not as tall and wide, i think i will get used to it and that display, OMG. to justify my purchase as it was still expensive even with $850 off (JB HIFI), i will be selling my ipad pro and S22 plus as will no longer need them....
mine is on order - for Nova, I was thinking of just creating a page layout for the front, then another one designed for the larger display - then just a quick swipe gets you there - not ideal, but a decent workaround.. hopefully Nova updates to support, but I'm not holding my breath lol.. Also use Good lock, so good to know it works with the Fold!

Just don’t be fooled. Your hard earn money will be destroyed. trust me. I have used it and didn’t even last for 6 months. It had call quality issues and one day just like that inner screen was blackened and Samsung doesn’t care about it. How many people had or have the same issue. I understand the idea of this phone but failed to implement a strong quality phone. I have no phone now. Thank u Samsung

Once you use the bigger s pens though you'll never want to go back to the baby s pen. Same for big phone vs baby phone. Lifestyle creep if you will.

Im getting this phone in two months when i can get the money. I have to pay off my iphone 13/ipad 11”. Once i do that im gonna upgrade to the samsung fold 4 512gb version. 9:42

Not bad. I appreciate the review, but what about the various damage points found online and in samsung forums? Regarding the : stress cracks , and screen lifting, etc? Has anyone had experiences with those issues? I did hear that Samsung tries not to cover the repair or replacement even with coverage. For normal wear/usage. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Def wanted to consider the Z fold for this holiday purchase in gifts
Nope - none at all.
After owning the zfold for quite a while I can say two things: the "stress cracks" is actually the screen protector film coming off. It looks like cracks. And two, the repair is dependable.
The screen lifting is something I never gotten. The only thing I don't like is how bad the crease line has gotten, but it doesn't ruin the phone at all.
So far so good. But get the fold 5.
I'm currently looking here as my Galaxy Z Flip 5G screen lifted today causing the top screen to turn black (not work). I've only used it indoors at home for years. Took it out with me for a day now it's broken. Yes the fold or flip screen tecnology is not fully developed so think twice before buying.
The crease is the least of my problems. We are talking a folding screen. Not to mention that it is hardly noticeable.
The perk is that big screen and the S-pen integration. I do my Excel sheet working flawlessly.
Watched a full movie with it and I was flabbergasted by the sound.
Also, with music, it has notable bass.

nice to see a late review once all the hype has died down. i daily drive a flip 4, and have never felt the need to use a fold. this quick review does tempt me this late after release. great points for the form factor. perhaps next year when trading in for fold 5 i may make the leap. not sure i could give up the pocketability of the flip though.

FIrst of all, I love your videos Ella S2 I bought the Flip 3 because of your review haha I have 1 question though, what about the mark/line that appears in the middle where it folds after a while, I'd say like, 6+ months ? Is it still a problem with the Flip and Fold 4 ? My Flip 3 is full of lines in the middle, marking the plastic screen...

yup, love those foldable phones even tho I honestly never played with one, but it does seem that the phone’s crease may never go away due to the phone’s foldability. I just can imagine using the S-pen as an actual pointing devise kind of like a classic Wii controller and even controlling the phone’s camera from a distance. Another so good review, Ella thankx. I would use the z-Flip foldable on the go, and the larger foldable phone at home attached to a keyboard and some sort of pointing devise via dongles and used it like an all-in-one mini personal work station, if compatible with such external devices like some phones, heck I would even try to install Windows and and make it a Windows Phone mini PC, seems that that are ways to do that!😅 Cool light like shadows on the background! 😸🥰📱🖥⌨️🖲⭐️💎

This might be my next phone coming from a long time apple user. I think I’m done with apple for now. Just haven’t liked the devices they are coming out with. I’m an old school person and they just be doing too much on these phones these days. Ether this phone, galaxy ultra 22, or z flip. I try the iPhone X, didn’t like it, iPhone XS, 12pro, 13pro, and now 14 pro max. All returned after using for 2-3 weeks. The last iPhone I really enjoyed and loved was iPhone 8 Plus. However since they are not making that type of phone anymore then maybe for now done. I hated the notch on the iPhones, and the dynamic island is okay, better then a notch but I don’t think I’m feeling it ether because I don’t like notches or cut outs on my phones. But with Samsung they have a punch hole which I can live with that and you can always hide it in settings if I wanna remove it, but with apple you can’t do that. Which is a big turn off and one the main reasons why I just might switch.

i just picked up the 1TB model , taking me a while to arrange both home screens, Nova launcher doesn't play nice as it just mirrors each screen and you lose the task bar, but thanks to good lock i can adjust the samsung UI icon layout, also need to buy new mounts for my car and bike, the finger print scanner is super fast much better than s22 with glass screen protector, im a bit nervous about my purchase, mainly because its a thicker phone, though not as tall and wide, i think i will get used to it and that display, OMG. to justify my purchase as it was still expensive even with $850 off (JB HIFI), i will be selling my ipad pro and S22 plus as will no longer need them....
mine is on order - for Nova, I was thinking of just creating a page layout for the front, then another one designed for the larger display - then just a quick swipe gets you there - not ideal, but a decent workaround.. hopefully Nova updates to support, but I'm not holding my breath lol.. Also use Good lock, so good to know it works with the Fold!
@@jasonthompson2059 good lock works well, you can increase the icon layout, samsung has nailed the software on the fold 4, not 1 glitch in over a week of use...

Just don’t be fooled. Your hard earn money will be destroyed. trust me. I have used it and didn’t even last for 6 months. It had call quality issues and one day just like that inner screen was blackened and Samsung doesn’t care about it. How many people had or have the same issue. I understand the idea of this phone but failed to implement a strong quality phone. I have no phone now. Thank u Samsung
