I’m originally from Bosnia and I came here as a child, I remember traveling back to my country as a kid and picking the fruits off the trees. The first time I went back and picked an apple from the tree to eat it, I couldn’t stop, my mouth dropped at amazement of how delicious that apple was. Til this day I am now 30 years old, I always think of that apple.
Our food here is empty, I am so thankful you are spreading wonderful information

@@darnitthelma4247 I think my original way of eating was the disorder. Eating for the sake of it, I used to eat things that I didn’t even want and was just greedy. I stopped the keto diet a while back. I want to get back into it, it’s just hard. Need more will power. Anyway it was more of a 23:1 diet. Fasting for 23 hours and have one meal in that hour. I really stuck to it last time around and it really helped shift some weight. Ideally I don’t think it’s a sustainable way a living despite what people say. It’s not fun. I believe eating is more of a physiological thing for some people, it effects us all differently. Some people can’t eat if they’re stressed or worried, I’m the way, I eat more.

I recommend finding as many videos like this, from people who are very knowledgeable and have gone through a process of trial and error. Whilst one person's diet may not be right for us individually, once lots of these data points are put together in to a 'big picture' of healthy eating, they can guide us to make great choices for ourselves.

    7. Two poached eggs topped with butter.
    8. Slices of fresh avocado - when available
    9. EVOO or homemade vinaigrette
10.Optional - grated hard cheese, like cheddar, parmesan etc.

    Hi !
Your videos have inspired me and I thank you for that!
My menu looks similar to yours!!
My dining window is 9am to 3pm!
I make my own sausages myself: ham, bacon, salami made with Himalayan salt {+1% of it nitrite), spices and subsequent smoking
    Example tag :
9:00 a.m. Salad made from tomatoes, cucumbers and beetroot (homemade), the dressing consists of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, onion, some stevia and salt
12:00 Small steak with sauerkraut and sour cream
15:00 1 small glass of yoghurt, homemade, with whipped cream, about 10 blueberries
My successes were remarkable after 6 months:
Pre diabetes and belly fat are gone
    Blood pressure back to normal
    No more hunger attacks
    No more increased urination
    Better lung function, asthma gone

So true to eat for health first. People just don't realize that ones overall well being and fitness is basically 100% attributed to what you eat, when you eat and how much you eat. You MUST learn this and live it. Personally I eat a big kale et al. salad with Sockeye Salmon every day for my main meal. Have been for years now and I love it and never tire of it. I'm getting really close to the beach body I desire. It's been 39 months since I started. You can do it

My great grandfather would have people come to him from all over his county and as far as neighboring states to have him "read" their faces. He then would tell them what minerals and other nutrients they were missing by the skin/eye texture and coloration and their ailments would clear up pretty quickly after consuming these minerals. You remind me of him.

I guess I'm keto although I didn't know that that's what it was. I eat all my vegetables raw except for squash. Don't eat grains of any kind, or sugar or processed foods. Also I don't eat fruit except for the occasional grapefruit. People find that very strange. Do not crave that much variety and eat much the same things everyday. I have.a few things to add. 1. I often prepare Buckwheat instead of brown rice, and though I consume only a little of it every day, it has a great taste (can be cooked with a lot of turmeric spice and shiitake mushrooms), and takes half the time to cook compared to brown rice. 2. I make my own chocolate: the proportions are half a cup of chunky Peanut Butter, half a cup of Coconut Oil, and half a cup of pure Cocoa Powder. I add one tea spoon of Honey to give it some sweetness. 3. I prepare a mixture of half a cup coconut oil and virgin Olive oil, and drink a sip at noon and in the evening. 4. when I cook my eggs at 1-2 pm I use mixture of olive oil, coconut oil and sometimes peanut oil. 5. I cook cabbage with Cumin Seeds, a bit of fresh lemon juice and a bit of Apple Cider Vinegar (not too much). And then I steam it for a while, until the liquid has penetrated the cabbage to give it a somewhat sourkrauti taste.5. When I cook beets, I use much water, which turns into beet juice. All you need with beets is to cut them int smaller pieces, add salt and cook for ten minutes. 6. I buy Collard greens, wash them, let them dry a bit, chop them up and put in the freezer in a sealed bag (I use the bags from Rice cakes or from corn tortias). 7. I recently started consuming Dandelion Greens (to help clean my liver) and I found out that Dandelions grow wild in my neighborhood's parks, so I collect them, wash them thoroughly dry them a bit, chop them up and freeze them. I usually prepare some Collard Greens together with the Dandelion Greens. 8. When in season, I fill my freezer with packages of fresh Cranberries, and use them all year around to make cranberry juice at home. Easy Peasy: put a handful of frozen cranberries in a medium size pot filled to the brim with water, add half a soup spoon of honey (for the whole pot), bring to a boil and let boil for another five minutes. It is ready, and it is so concentrated that I can mix it with water before I serve it. all commercial fruit juices have at best 5% of real juice, and even the ones that have it, mix it with Appleand Pear juice concentrate for sweetness and to cut costs. use enough cranberries to cover the water surface completely with one layer. 9. I found out last year that pushups are extremely helpful in strengthening the upper and lower spine - so much so that my neck problems became less pronounced, my spine curvature straightened a bit, and the recovery from a slipped disk a few years ago accelerated. But I had to start very slow, I just turned 70, and I began with one or two pushups every morning, when I do my Feldenkrais routine on the floor, and I then added more and more until, after a few months, I can do four or five rounds of twenty pushups between 2 and 10 pm (=100-120 a day). 10. I realized that thought I was confined to my home most of the time, I needed to walk regularly, so I cleared a path from one end of my bedroom to the end of my living room (I live in a 1 bedroom), and calculated that one roundtrip times 54 would equal 1 Mile. So after I get up, do my floor exercises, and take a shower, I walk about 22 laps in my one bedroom apt., and then I go out to my balcony wearing only my briefs. Throughout the winter my balcony was flooded with sunlight almost every day, and I got used to walking back and forth on the sunlit short stretch of the balcony in my briefs even at 20 Fahrenheit - the very cold air causes a rush of blood to the skin and muscles, which made it possible for me to do more pushups. During the winter I had to limit these balcony sessions to 15 minutes or so, and then re-enter my heated apartment and dress for the day. but the combination of the sunlight, the freezing temperatures, and the stretching exercises and the pushups completely changed my physiognomy, my mood, and my immune response.11. over a year ago while shopping in NY's chinatown I bought a 'mystery' tea, which came in a large plastic bag. At home I fed the Latin name on the label Herba Hedyotis Diffusae into my computer and it brought up a research paper published by Sloan Kettering describing the anti-cancerous properties in Hedyiotis Diffusae and another tea named Scutellaria Barbata. The anti cancer properties of these two herbs were related to bladder and breast cancer in that research. I now start my day with a nice cup of chinese tea that I prepare with both the Hedyiotis and the Scutellaria twigs, white organic tea and green tea. I prepare the tea once a week in a medium sized pot (yes I only have two pots) and add a tea bag of white tea and one of green tea. At my age, with an enlarged prostate, I thought drinking this special tea could not hurt, and it is very tasty at that. 12. Following, to a great degree Dr Berg's advice, I realized that my enlarged prostate (and a 5.6 PSA), and my high but not yet Pre-Diabetic blood sugar levels, have everything to do with my Cortisol levels, the Estrogen Testosterone balance, Insulin resistance, and the state of my liver. Clearly trying to discuss these issues with my family doctor led to nowhere. So I changed my diet to reduce carbohydrates, bring my Cortisol under control, reduce stress, stop eating at night (I now eat two meals - one at 2 pm and a smaller one at 5-6 pm (about 20 hours fasting everyday). I eat more crucipherous vegetables, take my Milk Thistle, Beta Sitosterol, Vit. D3, Flaxeed oil and so much more. Take care all, and a big THANK YOU to dr Berg.

Something to make your diet interesting: (on separate days)
    1) Cabbage Cole Slaw (package), dressed with your favorite mayo & 2 Tbls each of lemon juice and ACV, plus 1/8 to 1/4 tsp of stevia, and 1/4 cup buttermilk. Salt & Pepper. Dash of chili powder & paprika. (On some occasions add baby shrimp!)
    2) 1/2cup cottage cheese with 1/2 avocado, spiced as you wish, perhaps dress with touch of avo oil and balsamic vinegar. If you have room that day for carbs (or in place of Avocado) add a slice of pear, or pineapple, or mango. (a slice =small amount which if diced would be no more than 1/4 cup and be under 6 net carbs.)
    3) A tuna or crab salad, using your favorite mayo dressing and Bragg Kelp Delight Seasoning. S&P
    4) Sliced Cucumber, cabbage, and tomato salad, dressed with oil and vinegar; some lije to add a bit of sliced sweet onion.) S&P. Excellent with caraway, fennel, maybe touch of anise. Awesome!
    5) Red leaf lettuce with sliced beets, and portion of a can of “3-bean salad.” Dress with oil and vinegar (basalmic always good.) S&P and spices as you wish.
On salads I often add crumbled Feta, and mixed seeds and/or bee pollen, hemp seeds, Turmeric, Cilantro, Parsley, etc. Different things that cleanse, detox, and strengthen immune system. Olives go well with the last two.
    😋

@@thegreatestmantoevrwlkthep9986 I was hoping for one of his famous explanations. Why does stress deplete it?

@@ruthketo3167 your digestive system uses a LOT of glutamine, and is also quite coincidentally sensitive to stress. I'm not a doctor, I'm just a person with an opinion, it could be one of many things causing a deficiency. I'm going to post copy+paste from wikipedia below just for additional info. Also, Dr. Berg has lots of videos on reducing stress.
"... but in some instances of stress, the body's demand for glutamine increases, and glutamine must be obtained from the diet. It is encoded by the codons CAA and CAG.
In human blood, glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid.
The dietary sources of glutamine includes especially the protein-rich foods like beef, chicken, fish, dairy products, eggs, vegetables like beans, beets, cabbage, spinach, carrots, parsley, vegetable juices and also in wheat, papaya, Brussels sprouts, celery, kale and fermented foods like miso. @@meliodas4560 I eat all the l-glutamine foods, take probiotics and eat fermented foods. I’m still not sure why it takes that plunge when stressed to the point I actually feel sick. I’m just glad I figured out what the deficiency was. Thank you.

Doctor you're absolutely right, after having a farm and growing all of the fruits and vegetables as well as the organic meat that we lived on. Vegetables like asparagus and fresh greens and arugula we're so good and how I so miss the piece of property that we had. But there are good mixed greens out there you just have to try them until you get the heightened taste. Thank you for sharing your menu

When you say salad, do you mean only the lettuce leaves Arugula? Or a salad with that in it? In my country :salad, is a few ingredients put together inclusive of lettuce, which together is the ingredients of a salad, so I want to please make sure in what sense you use this, please?

He's talking about leafy greens... So not a potato salad with a few leafs of lettuce thrown in ;-)
