THANK YOU!! I was wondering if anyone else caught it..
At the end of WandaVision, Wanda put ONLY Agatha under a spell to keep her "role" as the nosy neighbor as a punishment. Wanda's "death" distorted the spell, which is why Agatha was in true crime mode at the beginning. The residents were just playing along to placate her. For the rest of the previous 3 years, she was just a nosy neighbor due to Wanda's spell. Joe Locke's character (Teen) broke the spell and Rio gave her the final push to "claw" the rest of the way out.
Her "role" was Kate Winslet in "Mare of Easttown". Almost perfectly.

This show is absolutely KICKING. I haven’t had this feeling about a marvel show since the first two eps of Wandavision dropped. Really, REALLY loving this. Aubrey Plaza is simply chewing scenery. I need next week’s ep like…meow

Oh yes! When I watched it, the line nudged something at the back of my brain, part of a tune, but I couldn't put together where from.
Actually, Jac Shaeffer, the creator of the series, came about making this show not because of Kathryn Hahn's popularity, but because while pitching various other Marvel projects, she kept putting Agatha in them, so Kevin told her to just make an Agatha show.
Andrew Ugo is the author of the library book that lets Agatha discover "DARKHOLD"

Agatha was trapped in her own personal hex while the westveiw residence were freed, they were probably half playing along half Agatha imagining shit
I think only Agatha was trapped in the "cop story" reality which was somehow caused by Wanda's death. Agatha's neighbor tells her she'd been acting like she was in a true crime show and everyone had played along.
Makes sense since her trap was part of Wandas original hex, and that in turn was designed after the sitcoms Wanda loved as a child. only fitting that the "nosy neighbor" persona got really into criminal dramas at some point!
Something to remember regarding the citizens of Westview caring for Agatha/Agnes these last years - many of them witnessed her "cut the strings" that had them bound to Wanda. To them, she's a hero, so when Wanda left her there in a Looney Tunes condition, they likely felt obligated to look after her and play along with her delusions.
This song has been so deeply rooted in my brain.

really highlights how insane it is she agreed to do this show considering the lack of crossover. she tends to have good taste though so it must be worth it. or the paycheck was huge. hopefully both

The 🐇 is named Señor Scratchy, remember? And, interestingly, Agatha seems to have had a son named Nicholas Scratch. I think her son is now her familiar.
Another fun note is that in Old English, they used to refer to the Devil as Old Nick or Old Scratch.
First 2 episodes are excellent! Looking forward to your next reaction. I ALWAYS love it when y'all talk Dresden, as soon as you brought up the lock of hair I knew where it was going.
To remind the lads: after attaining her Scarlet Witch powers, Wanda trapped Agatha in her own personal version of the Wandavision Hex as punishment for Agatha's actions. So for the last 3 years, the other residents have been keeping an eye on her, and playing along as she acts out the different shows she's in. Hence "Herb" and the neighbour and the yellow flowers boundary line. It's only started failing now with the destruction of the Darkhold and its "owner" along with it.
(Its not clear if the residents think she was always on *their* side (they were all aware the original Hex was Wanda's fault and did see her face off with Wanda), or if they were just genuinely being a supportive community post-traumatic city-wide event - but I personally hope we get a few brief flashback peeks at that as the series progresses.)
The town wasn't in a hex anymore it was just all in Agatha's mind. The townspeople play along with her delusions and help take care of her. The whole cop show was just the identity of the day lmao

lol as a Philadelphian I just didn’t see the Delco/Mare of Easttown accent in Agatha All Along as accurate. Now, all that being said, JAY nailed it. He literally nailed the accent.

Yeah it was a good thing they released two episodes at the same time. Cause the first was nothing but questions. Not that that’s a bad thing
Definitely reminded me of the beginning of WandaVision, where the first 2 or 3 eps felt more like setting up and asking questions, before the actual plot kicked in.
This was a great 1st episode. Loved the detective element and it felt like a real show and not a spoof🎃🎃

The look of the show from the beginning reminded me of the killing
Someone pointed out that the people in west view know Agatha fought Wanda and it caused them to be free. So even though she’s technically a villain they see her as a hero. And they know she got cursed. So that’s why they played along with her delusions.

I like that we payed homage to where we got the character from by having a first episode inspired by a television genre, but also that we didn't spent more than the first episode in it!

I thought the acting was kind of clunky in thw first episode, but you're right Agatha was still trapped in her Agnes character from Wandavision. Hahn is a great actress , so I have no worries on that front, and Joe Locke is also an amazing actor. I loved him so much in Heartstoppereven though teen romance/drama is far from the type of show I would normally watch. You should watch it even if just for yourselves and not for the channel.
Only 2 episodes in but a big complaint people had about Multiverse of Madness was that Wandavison wasn't required viewing for the film writing process or at least peaks at the script, where as so far Agatha All Along really feels like the slightly darker, definitely goofier follow-up to Wandavison and honestly it's nice to see some Westviewians back too.
Nicolas Scratch is her son. We will definitely be meeting him later.

Didn't Agatha call her rabbit "Senior Scratchy"? Any relation to Nicholas Scratch? There's gonna be so many red herrings in this series. I can't even feel clever for making connections because I know they're gonna end up being coincidences instead. Ugh.
I rewatched the 1st episode and saw that in Agnes' office at the police station, next to the coffee pot, there's a picture of a little boy, side profile, old time-y picture, and a rabbit figurine beside it. I'm officially calling it. Her rabbit is a transfigured little boy named Nicholas Scratch. It might be her son?

Did you notice that Anges O'Conor was on the left side of the titles (sinister) but all the in characters outside her personal Hex is people freed from Westview but still live there, are on the right *Side of the Police Tape* in the titles. Reflecting how Agatha was still trapped in the sinister side of WESTVIEW.

The population lowered after WANDAVISION because once freed from the Hex many people would have left but homeowners would have stayed for the Blip inflation.
