Oman Air is like a chic boutique hotel: oozing with class that only a select few gets to appreciate and keep for themselves.
I hope they can maintain the quality of their amenities and service when more people discover this airline.

Me too! On one hand, I want to see them expand so I have more opportunities to fly them. On the other hand, "please don't change a thing!" Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Yeah, as a US person with most of my flying to Europe and Latin America if I was ever in the region I will seek them out. It looks a World away from the hustle and bustle of Doha and Dubai plus get top service on a shorter leg to South Asia and South East Asia with awesome awards.

In a world where flight reviews are a dime a dozen (especially the unbiased ones LOL)... you manage to stand out and keep my attention with great presentation of details that matter.. "down to earth flight review" sounds weird, right? keep up the good work

Have been a viewer of this channel for quite a while now & I have to just give credit to the amount of detail and effort gone into presenting, editing the videos. And of course, the honest unbiased review based on what was experienced on that particular flight itself. Bravo.

My husband and I travelled business with Oman Air in May and July 2023 Sydney to London and return (Sydney to Bangkok was with Thai) and also received the same kit and pyjamas, it was beautiful with the Amouge products. We had an amazing experience as it was our first time flying business class. Also very reasonable price, we noticed on one leg of our flight that First class was empty. Great video, thank you.

I did this flight in November 2022 too! I had a 12 hour layover so stayed at the Aerotel next door to the lounge which was comfortable. Although I did have to call reception to ask them to turn off the jazz music playing in the corridors at 5am! Had a good few hours in the lounge, service was excellent, maybe I’d polished off the Cristal before your visit, apologies.

What a fantastic review in all respects. Clearly many Omani VIPs fly to London and Bangkok to justify the added cache of first class.
Your videos contrast with many of your American colleagues in your detailed knowledge , beautiful photography and digital overlays.
Most importantly your narration is detailed, casual in delivery and you know when to be silent and let the images do all the talking. Great viewing pleasure. Many thanks.

I flew Oman Air last year from Delhi to Muscat in business after watching your terrific video about them - and I thought it was one of the best business class experiences I've ever had - superb food and service, very good wines. And I loved Oman. Next year I do plan to try their First from BKK to MCT, but I expect I might end up agreeing with you that it isn't much of an upgrade. Thanks for your videos, which are always measured and informative.

Am thankful to watch this shared review vid of yours. I am from Manila Philippines, and flew Business Class since our Morocco trip Turkey , France, Italy.. now, the time for U.K. trip and while doing some research, this vid will help me a lot. never experience First Class. 4 to 4.5 windows is way better than 3 to 3.5. My travel partner is 6ft. , and big consideration for us having business class is for health reasons.

That amenity kit used to be offered in business class. I 🩵 Oman Air. I want admired the flavour of the dates offered. And one of the staff gave me a full box. Very discreetly as I exited the plane as a gift and winked at me.

I have flown Oman Air business class four times and on each and every flight I was never disappointed with the service given. I personally think there should only be business class. There is no real need for first business is so very special. Each time I flew threw Muscat on my way to and from Europe. I only wish there were direct flights from Melbourne, Australia.

Thank you for your straight forward approach. We can appreciate your thoughtful review without personal grudges and sling shots at the airlines. You come in with good expectations of the class and what it should look like. Can’t review economy through a business class prospective like other vloggers do and them come out feeling a huge let down. On the constant high to satisfy all their needs. Each airline and culture is different and you capture that very well and conveys that easily then most.

I had a strong feeling that First wasn't going to be able to replicate the sublime supremeness of your business class flight. Really enjoying the analytical presentation of all your reviews. Hope you will reach 50K subscribers this year & on to ten times that many, you really deserve it.
Oman seems to want to capture some of the market share that would in the past have chosen Emirates, Etihad or Qatar First.
Makes you wonder, if they will make some changes in the future (hopefully not to downgrade biz).
Being parked next to a Gulf Air flight (don't think you'll be picking them again soon) at the end was a rather tongue in cheek moment.

Beautiful review, love how understated and classy their first class product is. Not gaudy or over the top. But I agree, knowing how good their business class is, I’m not sure whether I would pay the difference (if I would ever be in a position to even consider it 🙈). Thank you as always Kevin, almost 30.000 subs! 💎

    • @tfft

You're very daring for partaking in so much of the lounge and spa experience with only 1.5 hours in your layover XD
All things considered, Oman Air First Class looks to be an outstanding product! Shame I probably won't ever fly it because the routes they offer at the moment just don't fit with where I am and where I'd like to go for holidays.

Hello Kevin. Another great review of an airline I am slightly familiar with. I agree with you regarding First Class offerings on certain airlines. The only time I have flown something similar to First Class is when my spouse and I flew to Glasgow, Scotland in 2017 with Air Transat's Club Class. For what we paid (just over $4K CDN return), it was not worth the cost. The seats were uncomfortable (leather) so much so that I kept feeling like I was going to slide off them onto the floor. The food was passable. The only good thing was having a dedicated check-in line at our originating airport (Toronto Pearson), extra luggage allowance, and being able to board the aircraft first. I can plainly say that was the first and last time I will do that. Keep up the good work!

Super Business class hard to even match their own FC product.
I felt the same gratitude twice in my life one FC on Varig 1989 and AF Concorde 1987. An Amazing feeling indeed. It was quite classy to mention Jeff from greengrass, good guy but I rather watch your sandal’s than his watch collection 😎😎😎. Since your remark about the hotel in Ibiza that reminded you a Condo in TPA, I am always keen at your humorous touch in every video.

They also use first class for Frankfurt (with 787) and for Kuala Lumpur with their old A330-300 first class. So with Aeroplan you could get full First class from BKK to FRA/LHR for 100k Aeroplan which is really great value.

Great review, Kevin. Thank you for all the effort you put into that. Soon airlines will start recognizing you (or your flip-flops) and will offer to "collaborate" 😉
    A few questions:
    - in the beginning of latest reviews you show a phrase (in Arabic, Thai, etc.) What does it say?
    - you said you compare J to J and F to F which is fair. You gave Oman 93/100. Who will do better? EY apartments? New SQ? New EK?
    - how do you deal with jetlag with so much flying?
    Thank you

    • @tfft
      @tfft  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1. It will welcome the local audience and let them know subtitles are available in the local language.
      2. We shall have to wait to see who does better 🙂 I only reveal specific Airlines/routes/classes 2 months in advance on Patreon.
      3. Three parts: drink enough water during the flight until you’re ready to burst; use a solar lamp every morning (when traveling and when home) to regulate circadian rhythm; as long as you’re doing the first two, don’t try to trick yourself into sleeping or staying awake, just do what feels natural.

Your review of EVA is spot-on with my experience. Great airline, I’ve flew with them many years in all class. Prior to their becoming Star Alliance members, they offered very competitive fare. Ever since then, their fare have increased quite a bit, probably due to price pressure by it’s airline partners/members such as SQ, etc. I think Starlux could possibly compete well in the regional and transpacific routes.

The First Class on Oman Air is probably there just to cater to certain Middle Eastern families/VIP who will insist on flying first class regardless of how much better it is compared to their business class which is already very good. As their target market is mainly Middle Eastern people who don't drink alcohol, the quality of the wine list is less of a concern.
