There is a very real need for SHRM in the community a bit more. Here's an example, if a company helps connect employees with banks or credit unions... and if those banks and credit unions were able to help families to choose options with health care plans and how the investment and risk funds from that work relates and enables the employee and company.... the community connection increases. Also, the bonds between company and employee and mutual beneficial relationship remains strong. There are a lot of options and opportunities embedded within this concept.
This video pertains very well to larger organizations, however... over 2/3 of employers in the US are small businesses... banks and credit unions are NOT set up to be outsourced HR departments, however the health and retirement benefits are very needed. Additionally, things like the ACA and various medicare options over time and disability... (we can't have disability be such a huge disincentive to working but we also need to take care of people who need help and the benefit). It's also true that there are agencies and professionals who sometimes file for disability and then assume their benefits or worse... take a huge percentage of past owed benefits.
So, banks and credit unions already have regulatory process, but this could help. And, the residual income structure could ease and create better value based outlooks to insurance companies. The process of funding investments need better oversight and trust metrics.
Another pleiotropic effect...the increased contact in bank locations with public and needs based work... of course revenue will increase and provide better checks and balances with insurance and investments and taxes, without turning the "reigns' over to anyone or group... it will provide a better platform for the initial creation of better feedback loops between corporate boards, employee work groups, community stake holders, fund managers, executive leadership... etc. The better quarterly goals and reports can improve over time with these better insights. The concepts of ghost mentors or ghost boards are inherently flawed and ripe for usurpations and various division scape goating (in larger companies).
This has a lot of merit and the better investment pieces and community work rely on better understanding and trust builiing.... plus, it has a better shot of keeping more funds in local communities and better tools for real world work force understandings.
This is not all the same thing as regional work, but it is an easing of process and platforms to create enough options for various eco systems of need. It's substantial work over time... a few quarters will show large shifts.

SHRM stands for both Strategic Human Resource Management and Society for Human Resources Management. Thanks for sharing.

The first and initial definition of SHRM is strategic human resource management, more recently the the society for human resource management and used the abbreviation as well .
