Thanks for sharing - your wife is super nice - here's something to think about - if you live in USA and everything is paid for: house, vehicles ...if you do a cost analysis you will find that if all you are paying for in USA are monthly utilities and property tax, that cost is comparable to living in PHI if not cheaper. For me as an American the draw to PHI are several reasons - I have ties w/ PHI - I haven't been yet but seems PHI would be a great place to explore, spelunk - the people of PHI are super nice in general - and as an area to retire to..if you pick a great part of PHI as your home base, you can travel around to all the other areas, islands - so in general...it seems if you can put up with: the heat, humidity, typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, flooding, roaming animals, roosters crowing all day long, pollution, litter, noise pollution from bikes/vehicles, people burning trash, poor medical insurance, slow customer service, traffic......it's not so bad - all humor intentional - seriously - from what I am learning (again a big THANKS to you and your wife for sharing realities of PHI) ...the PROs outweigh the CONs and if you have an awesome PHI lady, life can be very good - if you share your life with someone you truly love, and your lady loves you the same, that my friends makes the difference.
I’m from the Philippines and married to an American. I’m here in the united states for 32 years now. I’m retired and not planning to live in the Philippines for that reason. I still have family in the Philippines but thank God for the video call so we can see each other. Another reason also that I don’t want to go back in the Philippines is my grandchildren, I don’t want to leave them and oh! I forgot to mention is the health care in the Philippines is not good compared to here in the United States
Similar for us. The cost of living and the travel out weighs living in the US. Besides we will visit our kids in the US twice a year (built into our budget) and we have video calls all the time to talk to our kids and grand kids. I just feel we can do a lot more traveling and live a very full life by choosing to live in the Philippines. Things might change when we're older based on medical needs, but for now we live on. Thanks for the comment!
I am 55 years old and have been here since 1992. In August last year, I bought a small farm and house in the Philippines. I also bought a car and nicely furnished the house. I am still working on transferring the land title to my name. The process is tedious, and the paperwork and the places you need to go to gather documents are INSANE. Talking about a waste of time and money. It will take months and months for something you can do for one business day or less in the States. But this is why our dollars go a long way in the P.I. Sometimes, the downside rewards aren't worth it. I am lucky to have the option to leave anytime I want. Most Filipinos don't have those options.
@@cryptoPI1234 Precisely! and your wife is a Filipina in the first place...does she even not give you some clues/brief you for once? she should give you a heads up at least🙉
IO have been in the Philippnes in a Philippine community near the city of Butuan city. People here seem to have more dogs then they need, I get woke up at 1:30AM, and 5:15 AN every damn morning. Temperature does not seem to go below like 78 F. That is at night, by 9AM or ealier, I am swetaing outside, that is in October. April until around middle of June is the hottest months feel like temperature around 110F, Cools down to around feel like temp of 90-95F at night. If you want to come to the Philippines and stay, expect to sweat and lose some weight.

If you haven't moved yet , check out Thailand as well. Would be my first choice of the two. Philippine food is arguably the worst in Asia. Thailand yummy. Also , the infrastructure is light years ahead. If you're already with a Filipina , you're pretty much stuck in the Philippines.
Try to check condos inside Clark like Besco The Villages this is a Korean community and it is a very nice area to live. we have been living here for almost 3 yrs now and we are loving it. no dogs and no traffics not unless you went out to Angeles city.
Great video. You are the first one to talk about the air pollution in P.I. and that is the reason i don`t go here any more. One time i had to spit blood and one time i had `red eyes`from it; one week one eye, the next week the other eye. The filippinos told me to have red eyes is normal. When it comes to traffic, i had a different experience. Busses are racing so hard that it is not safe. Behind us i saw a dead chicken that was not quick enough to escape us. Asking why they are speeding, the answer is: to pick up more clients. That is why the busses are constantly overtaking each other on the narrow roads. For one thing i was wrong. I thought most of the time the horn is blowing, so it is better to normally blow the horn and turn it off by pushing the button. When i checked it, it was fifty-fifty, the time the horn was on or off.
