Yes, ease into it with 12-12, 3 meals a day and no snacking. Especially if you are like me when I started, over 230 pounds, eating sugar, 3 meals and snacking all day! As per Autumn’s video released September 8th of last year in our interview I had lost 44 pounds then, I continued losing weight with an additional 16 pounds, in total 60 pounds lost following Autumn’s advice in her videos and programs. Like she said introducing me “this has changed her life”, indeed it has. It can change your life too. Start slow. Start today, it’s never too late to feel great!

That actually sounds doable! I tried fasting and had bad headaches and felt awful. I need to try 12/12.

      I do 12 hours 2-3 days and 16-18 4 days a week. No eating after 8 pm.

Started watching you back in April and have done the 14:10 method of fasting. I'm so happy to say I've lost 30 pounds! Following you has helped me way more than any diet plan or WW ever did. Greatful for your channel!

I’ve been binge watching your videos for the last couple months ❤ I started Mounjaro and it gave me the boost I needed to get into a more healthy lifestyle. I am getting to know my body again after 10 years of letting go and getting PCOS and Diabetes. I am a single mother of 2 boys and am so happy I’m on a journey to get my life back.

I follow the 14:10 eat 8am-6pm which works for me. Some days I will randomly do a 16:8 like today. I have lost 35 lbs over a 12 month period. Thank you Autumn! Love your expert tips and advice!

I love autumn and her recipes! The only thing I would change is the plugs for products. For the past 6 months I feel like the videos all have a plug for LMNT. It’s delicious and helpful, but I wish it would go back to the good old days with very minimal plugs for products

Call me crazy, it's been three years since I've been into fasting and from the beginning it was either 18-6 or 20-4 and to be honest it wasn't much of a struggle. I assume it was before I took it extremely seriously. With that being said, I am not advising anyone to use my plans, especially if you are obese or overweight and have much weight to lose. I fast because it has significantly improved my cognitive function during the day, and I can handle stress better; I am not using it anymore for weight loss. Unfortunately, stress is my Achilles heel and thanks to fasting I am doing better. Cheers.

Awesome video, Autumn. I would love to get your insight into protein- specifically protein timing while fasting (say if you try to attack it within that cortisol window in the morning but have yet to break your fast). I would also love for you to review protein bars/whey powders that you DO approve of/have a high DIAAS score. Thank you so much!

In my highschool and early career days I could easily not eat breakfast. So that’s the time I use. First meal around noon (later if it’s busy at work)

Love your content! Wondering if you've covered useful ingredients scanning apps. Like Yuka. I know most of the food you show has to be cooked, but my schedule doesn't give me a lot of time to prepare for meals. Sometimes I have to take stuff from a can. I'd love to be able to scan a can of black beans quickly and get immediate feedback on the level of toxicity that may have been included into the ingredients

I usually fall into the 15-17 hour daily fast. I tried the longer fast, 36 hours, 24 hours, etc. and they didn't work well for me. I craved sugar and didn't have the strength for my daily workouts.
Thanks for another informative video, Autumn. I hope all is well. ❤

I have tried various fasting methods with great results. The easiest I found was skipping breakfast and not eating after 7. I walk at least 30 minutes a day lift weights , yoga and do planks plus push-ups. Once a month I reward my self with a drink or two. I work in the restaurant industry and am around delicious food but resist temptation most days. Most of my coworkers aren’t as good 😂

Hi, great video. My struggle is that my work hours are unpredictable and sometimes I don't get home til 6:30 or later so fitting in dinner before 7 is not always realistic for me. Is it ok to shift these hours later by an hour? Do you have any advice about that?

    • @kookyandstrange

She mentioned in a different video that it's typically better earlier in the day if you can, but its still better than not fasting.

Any suggestions on a electrolyte drink that is lower is sodium for those of use with high blood pressure or heart issues? I have Afib which is sometimes triggered by excessive sodium . I do some foods with sodium during the day and think I get what I need with out adding 1000mg in a drink. Would appreciate any suggestions! Thanks, and love all your videos. All been very helpful.

I have noticed the people who do best on 16:8 are mostly sedentary. I walk an hour a day and do 20 mins of some kind of strength and 20 mins rebounding and 14:10 is a very good sweet spot for losing weight and getting all nutrition in plus aligning circadian rhythm.

    • @BRWNEYES4

Definitely the more active one is, usually the longer the eating window that is needed to fit all of their nutrient needs in.

Thank you for your videos, they are so helpful to me! I'm fasting mainly for health and body recomposition, I'm not overweight. I'm 17:7 and for a while now I've been wondering if it's better for me to eat my last meal before or after weight training? I can only train between 6 and 8 p.m. and so far I've been eating my last meal around 5 p.m., but I'm wondering if I should move it to 8 p.m. What do you think?

  • @jacn202

Daily reminder that weight loss is equal between groups of people who do intermittent fasting and those who don't when calories are equated for. IF is simply a tool to restrict calories just like any other diet. Studies have proved this over and over again. If you aren't in a calorie deficit, you won't lose weight, it doesn't matter how big your fasting window is.

I'm working on no snacking and if I need to snack I have been replacing the snack with protein and I keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge for an easy snack. The snacking has been a hard habit to break, especially at night between 8 and 10 .

I was doing the 18-19 hour fast last year and lost about 45 pounds. Well, I fell off the wagon over the holidays due to stress and fatigue from a demanding job (teacher). Since then I have been struggling with getting back into healthy habits. I've regained 27 pounds and just feel awful in my body. I am currently fasting for 16-18 hours a day and my weight continues to go up. Any tips for getting back into fat burning mode and getting this weight off? Ideally, I would like to lose 35 pounds.

Hi Autumn! I'm a relatively new subscriber and enjoy your content. I want to begin IF to help with weight loss (about 15-20 lbs), stress and to help with midlife women's issues or peri menopause (mood swings, hair thinning, some depression, etc). Do u find organic coconut water (fridge kind) provides adequate electrolytes if just starting IF

    • @AutumnBates
      @AutumnBates  ปีที่แล้ว

Welcome to my channel!❤️ Coconut water does have electrolytes but it also has quite a bit of sugar, so it's not my go-to source of electrolytes.
