Walmart keeps a lot of their low carb/keto protein-snack bars in the health section, near vitamins and protein powders. They carry lots of Atkins, Slim Fast, Quest and Equate options! Not clean, but tasty! Loving these Walmart videos!!!

For me that means watching my sugar intake. I am interested in that sugar free jello and the sugar free chocolate sauce. I do occasionally have a craving for hot chocalate.

The only snacks I get at Walmart are Walnut halves in bakery section, Pork Rinds, Precooked Bacon, plus I mix the Jello sugar free pudding with Chobani zero sugar yogurt.
As someone who's eaten a low carb diet (12 carbs per day) for thirty years and I eat perhaps three of the foods she showed and there's no way I'd eat the others. I tend to snack on things like celery, cream cheese, olives, pickled vegetables, pork skins, nuts and seeds, dark chocolate, home made cheese crisps, zero carb jerky links, the occasional atkins bar, cheese, boiled eggs, zero carb meats like turkey or chicken, canned beef, or fish, half a small avocado, Chappel hill links that I smoke and freeze so I can heat one up and roll it in a low carb tortilla for a filling snack. I tend to stay away from most of the highly processed foods regardless of the ingredients. Most of it can be made at home without all the additives.

Mix the yolks with (3 tbl) melted butter, vanilla extract, a quarter cup of carbquick or your favorite low carb flour. Add a very small amount of cream and mix. Add more cream as needed until you have a very thick batter. If it's too thin your pancakes will be thin. Now fold in the whites after you've hard whipped them. Then cook as pancakes not turning until completely done on one side. With zero carb pancake syrup you'll find that these pancakes taste just like french toast. One carb or so per pancake depending on flour and amount of cream added. This will also make waffles that you can freeze for a short period of time but they are always better fresh.
If you’re eating only 12 grams of carbs per day, you are keto. Low carb is between 20 and 100 grams per day, and this content creator went low carb, and stopped keto, about a year ago. That’s probably why she’s showing snacks you couldn’t eat. So, wow…if you’ve done keto for 30 years, that’s incredible. I couldn’t do that…too restrictive for me.
@@sarahs7058No you have it wrong. Keto has little to do with low carb. It's about percentage of carbs to protein to fats. I do not eat a keto diet by any means. I eat an Atkins low carb diet and typically the induction phase of any low carb diet is "below" 20 carbs per day. The amount should be decided by you. I also don't consider between 50 to 100 carbs per day as even being low carb. For most people it's going to top out at around 30 to 35 carbs max after you reach the maintenance phase. By the way keto can fit under the heading of an Atkins diet if it's low enough in carbs as will many other types of low carb diets. That said I consider the keto diet as way too limited in how you have to eat. In 30 years I've never kept track of my protein or fat intake. Only my carb intake. I control my weight by how much food I eat. If I want to lose a few pounds I simply eat less as I've long been at the point where I keep my weight stable at the level I prefer. I have blood work done twice a year and the only issue I've come across is my sodium dropped a bit even though I use extra salt daily so I had to reduce my water intake to raise my sodium levels. So any low carb diet that insists you need to drink plenty of liquids to remove fats needs to be ignored as wrong.
I just made a little sf banana cream pudding mixed with a little cream cheese, Greek yogurt and a touch of stevia. ( I only mixed in a couple teaspoons of the dry pudding mix) Gonna top it with some Keto granola. I’ll have it tonight while our other guests enjoy a full sugar high carb double chocolate cream pie. 😀
I love Myra. I also live in almond country in Central California. During drought years Blue Diamond dug their mega wells that sucked houses and small farms dry so they could get the water they needed to expand their profits. My sister's well was sucked dry by Blue Diamond. Imagine your life with no water. Eventually she was able to get a deeper well dug, but she had the money. Imagine the poor people who can't afford it. No water on their property, period. In 2023 America. The drought has eased now and the wells are replenished with groundwater. But what happens with the next drought, and there will be one? A better popcorn option if you're going to eat popcorn, is the brand Lesser Evil. It's Organic, and Non-GMO and made with just 3 ingredients. The organic popcorn, organic extra virgin coconut oil, and Himalayan pink salt. Doesn't get any cleaner than that. Definitely not Keto with 11 net carbs, but a great option for "I must have popcorn on movie night"
Hello! Just watching this video. I am trying to stay away from inflammatory oils. I stopped eating Skinny Pop because it is cooked in an inflammatory oil. A better choice is the popcorn from Lesser Than Evil. It's cooked in coconut oil and delicious! You can get Himalayan Sea Salt, Himalayan Gold (butter flavor and my favorite) and No Cheese Cheesiness which is good and also dairy free! Wal-Mart does sell this popcorn.

In addition to popcorn, you can buy Lowrey's pork rinds that you make in the microwave. They come in Original and Spicy. If you make the Original flavor, you can put the Kernels Season's Popcorn Seasoning on them. They go great with the Cheesy Jalapeno flavor and the Dill Pickle flavor is good too.

I watch alot of your videos but small issue with this one, those cereals are expensive for only 2 or 3 bowls, could you do one budget friendly? Also soft foods? I can't have nuts, so that cuts out alot for me sadly.
I eat 8 macadamia nuts when I wake up to lower my insulin spike. Than I wait 20 minutes to have coffee. I make sure I do not spike my insulin first thing; which controls my carb craving for the rest of the day.
I do love almonds as a snack... but buy the Blue Diamond already seasoned ones Soy Sauce Wasabi is my favorite. But I wanted to say... all those popcorn seasonings.... I use them to add flavor to my vegetables.... sauteed or roasted... yummmmmmmmmmm
That dipping peanut butter into the cereal doesn't sound weird to me. I've done it with peanut butter and Lily's sugar free Chocolate Chips. Try it with peanut butter and white chocolate chips. That combo is like crack. Seriously. LOL I've made the white chocolate Jello with heavy cream and it came out like a really rich, thick mousse. Very decadent!! Thank you for the great tips, Mayra!!

Great stuff! Walmart honestly has some options that I can’t find other places. And better priced. I find myself roaming the pharmacy area for good protein bar options. Like you my stomach doesn’t tolerate most of them. The Ouest bars are probably the best for me to kill my sweet tooth. Do you have any other suggestions on some others? Always enjoy your vids.

The biggest problem with these bars is the malodextrin or bad oils such as canola in them. It's honestly hard to find bars without them.

In our Walmart the protein and keto bars are mainly in the pharmacy section with the protein powders and such and they do have a few good options.

I do love almonds as a snack... but buy the Blue Diamond already seasoned ones Soy Sauce Wasabi is my favorite. But I wanted to say... all those popcorn seasonings.... I use them to add flavor to my vegetables.... sauteed or roasted... yummmmmmmmmmm

Take a look at the sodium content too. Pork rinds, most of the nuts, and beef jerky have a good amount of salt so keep that in mind as well.
Our Walmart has the quest chips and stuff in the health section. Like by vitamins, protein shakes ect.
That dipping peanut butter into the cereal doesn't sound weird to me. I've done it with peanut butter and Lily's sugar free Chocolate Chips. Try it with peanut butter and white chocolate chips. That combo is like crack. Seriously. LOL I've made the white chocolate Jello with heavy cream and it came out like a really rich, thick mousse. Very decadent!! Thank you for the great tips, Mayra!!

Great choices and appreciate you taking the time to inform us, however, these don't come cheap!!! Cereal approx 7.99, keto granola approx 9.99 (Walmart)...protein bars also expensive. As for me, I can't afford to buy for the most part...inflation 🤑 and budget...😑.

Hey! I appreciate this video! I would just like to recommend showing us the back of whatever snacks you’re recommending because just reading the front of the box, and not showing me the protein to carb ratio wouldn’t give me an overall idea of if I should add this to my shopping list or not. Saying it’s “low carb” well how low? Saying they’re “high carb” how high? Just something to help, but otherwise I enjoyed the video
Great stuff! Walmart honestly has some options that I can’t find other places. And better priced. I find myself roaming the pharmacy area for good protein bar options. Like you my stomach doesn’t tolerate most of them. The Ouest bars are probably the best for me to kill my sweet tooth. Do you have any other suggestions on some others? Always enjoy your vids.
