That skunk was pretty desperate to get back under your house. Are you sure it wasn't a mother skunk trying to get back to her babies? February-March is skunk mating season, so that could very well be a mother with young kits!
The skunk is so cute! I like to see them in my back yard because they eat small pests. Sadly I haven't seen any in a while and mice are outside my house.
I’ve been watching my “under porch” den for about six weeks. I’ve found they are far more afraid of regular toned human voice/conversation than yelling. I’ve tried both. They ignore the yelling but hide from the conversational stuff.
@@junhoscanadasurvival I’m trying to convince this mom to move! Lol. Found out this weekend she has 6 babies. She barreled through all my scare tactics (ammonia , citrus, cayenne) and blockades (repeatedly burying the entrance - she would work for over an hour to dig back into the den). I’m pretty sure she was this adamant a week or two before she gave birth. Also, I can’t confirm if this is likely true, but I feel like she stayed in the den after giving birth for 5-7 days - she wasn’t caught on video so either she stayed down there or the video didn’t activate. 🤷♀️
@@kaylong6755 That's amazing. 6 babies. Wow. This skunk seems male, I'm not sure and he comes back once in a while and ate some food. He doesn't stay overnight. Lol. Thank you 😊
That’s obviously a mother trying to get to it’s babies. The time of year and it’s persistent nature are clear signs.. I feel bad for the Skunks. Too bad it didn’t get YOU with the spray.
@@ihatehers NaturalgrOOwer is right. Skunks are usually very shy and easily frightened away. They aren't fussy about what they eat, and food for them is almost always readily available. The only thing that can account for this degree of persistence is A) a male trying to get to a female in heat, or B) A mother trying to get to her litter.
Long story short but I was taking my chiweeenie out for a night walk and a skunk was on my porch and of course the dog chased him away and now my porch smells like garlic and house. We took care of our dog but what about the porch?
I’m with the homeowner. I like seeing wild animals in my yard, but my flowers and veggies are off limits. The house is a 100% no-go zone for bugs, mice, birds, or anything larger. Animals poop, pee, and gnaw on wires -all serious human health and safety issues.
I got tired of a skunk that keeps digging under my shed and ended up peeing on me. I said what was good for me is going to be great for him. I dumped out the lead shot, wad, and powder from a few of my shotguns shells. Removed the paint from some paint balls. Refilled them with my pee using a syringe and reloaded the shotgun shells with a weaker charge of powder. Now waiting for nightfall to see him on my infrared camera and then its time to pee on him
I wonder why you couldn't allow this small creature to reside under your house. They don't do any harm and are just looking for a safe place to sleep. Why are humans such savages. His forebearerrs were there before you. And they don't smell at all if you don't throw snowshovels at them.
They smell. Had one under our house few years ago, didn't scare it or threaten it in any way and the house reeked. Sometimes in the summer one will walk by my open window and I have to get up and shut it or turn the fan to exhaust due to the stink.
👍🏼I would have bet there were babies too. get 2 large squirt guns,,fill one with Bleach the other with Ammonia. Empty one one the rocks then the other,,and run like hell🤪
It's cold outside, poor lil stinker needs a warm house.

Human is constantly spreading into wildlife's habitat and doesn't stop. The mistake is always erectly walking on two legs.

They do harm. They will chew through insulation and wiring and could cause a house fire.
Its his house if he doesn't want a damn creature under there its his right. 🤡
They stink. Your house will reek if you have a skunk living under it. Maybe you could invite him to live at your place.
Why are you blocking the skunk from going into it's home? Leave it alone. It'll eat insects
He blocked it from going under HIS home. Human houses, cellars and crawl spaces are not natural dens for skunks.
@@rebmosher5512 They definitely are, because Human is spreading constantly into skunk's habitat.
