- What's up, little Honda bros! It's time to slap some Spoon carbon fiber mirrors onto the world's most expensive Civic. Did I mention I had to order another set of mirrors? I guess you'll find out why in the video. The mirrors are legit and might just be the icing on the cake for the Civic build.

Yeah, cutting the wire harness is so stupid…..this dude it a hack! Just use clip on slices or buy a plug to fit the harness since it already came pinned.

Lol I was tempted to do the same thing when I installed my spoon mirrors (let it hang while I prep other things) but I envisioned this same thing happening to me. So I stuck just one screw on there. Phew! You can actually get just a blank base plate, and then screw the carbon fiber mirror on top of it. I think vision technica makes them.

I believe weatherproofing goes around the whole thing. You just have to cut slits into it for the bracing parts.
Kind of panicked when you left that stock mirror hanging on the door by that little nut unscrewing it. Murphy’s law and what not.

I would have just super glued it and repainted that part lol.
Cutting into that stock harness hurt. That glue looks like its going pull off some of the door rubber!

I believe that part on the mirror that broke is replaceable, you don’t have to buy complete mirror

Hi Matt , I think you could have unpinned the molex plug from the stock mirrors and used the plug on the spoon mirrors no cutting needed
*If I send you a set of OG (Rare) 1157a Silver Star Ultra turn signal bulbs, will you use them on the civic? Resting blue bulb, Orange during illumination. Look much better in the Type R housing and will match the blue. I’ll pay since I’m gunna win the car anyways.*

Instead of going for a S2000 steering wheel why not go with a Mugen or spoon wheel with a alli mugen hub or maybe a EP3/DC5 type R wheel? I think it’ll suit this car better as what you’ve done to all ready

You could replace just the base plates with OEM block offs
Worked in a body shop for a while for extra cash. This stuff (Lord Fusor Extreme Plastic Repair) is your best friend for broken plastic clips. Thanks for the laughs!
The clip that you broke on the passenger mirror cover(formerly tweeter) was already broken and repaired by your stereo guy(video). You just broke what he fixed that was already broken when he got it. LOL.

They didn't make the mirror with correct fitting pins ...so either have to depin and swap pins they gave to use oem or cut the harness altogether. I'm already remanufacturing their parts for better quality then resell my own brand. It's little things these companies literally are cheaping out on.
I did the same thing with the bolts on my side mirrors... twice! I feel your pain Matt!

JDM EK power folding, looks like 97-01 Integra mirrors but actually fits the car.

Nice car and great parts but the installations contribute to a very large cringe factor.
You can actually solder the plastic pieces back and sand it down and repaint it again.
If you sprinkle some baking soda onto superglue it dries almost instantly

instead of removing, gluing from the back (the way it cracked) and a little touchup paint, the whole thing is now a hot mess. but hey, views.
