You do the honda community a favor my good sir! Hope to be able to afford super nice name brand stuff some day, great job on the instructions! If i knew less this video would be very helpful, great detail!
bro how tf dont you have more subs or thumbs you've got soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much good content shit not to mention a real dope build much cleaner than anything here in chicago
And they say the super bowl was supposed to be entertaining i rather watch latommyla instead, wat up big homie, givin us dope content as usual, the hatch lookin good as fuck bro.
Dope video tommy, but I just got quick question. Do Spoon calipers not recommend greasing the back of the brake pads where they come in contact with the pistons? I didn’t see you do it, so I’m just wondering lol
LATOMMYLA is it possible you can help me? I'm trying to get a 6pistion calaper on a 15" rim and I'm having no luck. I'm looking for any brand except willwood because your exact reason(you want to use any pads) and price isn't a factor Please help🤞🙏
I love your videos Man, if you can help me to solve a question about the spoon tongs, the weight of them is 2.4 kg for the twinblock and 2.6 kg for the monoblock, but is that the weight of each tweezer or pair? thank you if you can help me, hugs.
I was wondering if you can help me out. I’m thinking about getting Spoon Sports EK9/DC2/ZF1 4 Pot Monoblock Caliper 45020-MBF-G00/G01 for 01 Acura Integra ls what size rotors do I need to run.
Hi ! I'm running with an EP3 on track and now i'm wondering about upgrading my brakes. I'm wondering if it is worth : 1/ changin the rotors and pads but keeping oem calipers ; 2/ upgrading for spoon calipers and staying on 300mm rotors ; 3/ buying a big brake kit (which is much more expensive, and with probably more expensive disks and pads in the future). I can find spoon calipers for only $600, but will i get a significant improvement without upgrading the disk size ? Thanks in advance for your advice !
You will segificantly reduce unsprung weigt to the car, you can apply more force to the pads and you will have a more rigid caliper. Upgraded brake pads is highly recommended for track use because of higher temperature..

I hellla agree
I literally just put a fastlines shifter & a Spoon knob in my ek racecar & then hurried upstairs so i could watch this! Lol awesome vid

What size are your Volk TE37s?
I was thinking about adapting these calipers to an electric F56 Mini Cooper, I would need a caliper adapter though.
Holy shit dude the Spoon calipers goes pretty well with the color of your car and the bronze TE37
Yup! Had to do it!
LATOMMYLA I can just imagine a rolling shot of this
What are the size of your wheels?
The twin blocks will fit on 97-01 preludes as well.
Love your Honda bro! I need some new calipers for my rsx and I'm thinking about going with spoon also

Thanks man and you don't need them, even on my wilwoods I didn't
LATOMMYLA Oh that’s interesting, but forsure man, thanks for the info.
Damn that spoon setup 🔥. Great info as well.
Are those 15x8 TE37’s on yr brothers Civic? Love the way the Continental’s look on them. Not as beefy as most other 205/50’s
Good job great video
What are the wheel and tires specs
Great Video Man, what do you have to say about comparing the wilwood brakes to the sports spoon brakes ?
"9 inches, tiny"........get you!Nissin make wicked calipers.
Ahahaga
hello, I am subscribed to the channel and would like to know if the original brake pads are compatible with the spoon twin block calipers…
You will need ITR pads
@@LATOMMYLAis it normal that u hear the pads knocking?
Awesome stuff bro like always. Keep up the good work 👍
Always man!
5:35 trippy looking dripping
I noticed that when I was editing, looked trippy as hell haha
Shit is looking SWEET! Good job tommy! 😎👍✌
Thanks!
Better off with the wilwoods but it's is good you can run oem pad doe so that's a plus.
Wow TH-cam actually notified me this time🙄
But yay a new video🙌🙌

*_Oh hell yeahm I definitely need these._*
nice TE squad, waitng for your notif, hahaha!
Hell yeah!
Nice. Wish spoon made rear calipers.
They should, Ive seen people mount them on the rears but super odd haha
Where are your stud spacers at?? Yes they do matter. Purchase them and install them
Hey bro did you have to run the spoon 3mm inner spacer behind the 2007 Mini Cooper rotor? I’m doing the same setup right now . Thanks !
Did you upgrade/modify your master cylinder or brake booster in any way to use four piston calipers?
No need to, only change out the prop valve to a 40/40 cause rear disc brakes
FYI the new bolts from Honda are clear zinc plated :-) back in the day they used yellow.
Didn't know but I miss the yellow zinc, looks better imo
Finally something good to watch
Enjoy
did you have to run a 3 mm spacer behind the rotor at all? i’ve seen a couple post with people installing with the spacing
Dude, stake those axle nuts! Those things can back themselves out and destroy your wheel bearings.
Did you know what size of the axle you running?? I have my d series did you think it’s gonna fit the itr spindle??
those mirrors oh mahh guddd :O
Oh guuddd

Super sharp!
What do you recommend bro? I got a 88 Honda crx si usdm and thinking of installing these spoon calipers what set up do you recommend?
Do you encounter clicking noise during reverse n bad surface road? I heard that was normal
Stake your axle nuts brooo!!!!!
Love the spoons! What’s the name of the song??
Is the front pads bounce around the spoon calipers? I know the Spoon Twin Block uses EK9 Type R brake pads.
Why didn't you keep the red ones ? I'm Looking to upgrade my breaks, I'm trying to go big on a budget ..
Just wondering what the difference is between the old and new brake calipers ..
What you think will this work on a GSR Stoptech 126.34100SL rotor which is a 2007 Mini Cooper

For honda jazz if put this caliper what size rim that suitable 15 inch offset 35 can put this caliper or not
Did this mess with your wheel fitment/specs at all ? Looks more aggressive afterwards
Do you recommend these for Circuit racing??
What’s the specs on the wheels I have the same brake set up and trying to buy the rims just need the same size
Hello what is the part number for the spoon caliper?
Bet time to watch the inspiration
Ayeeee
Have u forgot to put strew on ur disc brake
Them brakes are fantástico 👌.
Thanks!
Can you run the 11” Mini Cooper rotor with stock integra calipers?
Where can you get the twin block spoon calipers?
Do you not fasten those rotors to the hub?
👍👍
how did you make it the mirrors to bend on it's self
Do you know which Wilwood caliper will fit a Civic Si 02 rear?
Full race car mode
LATommyLA, can i use them on the front/rear of my ek9 hatchback type r?
You needa punch a crease in that axle nut
TE37 sonic ET45 works? i think spacers are needed
Is the same for the EG ?
Which is better? Wilwood or Spoon?
Let me know if u sell them wilwoods
Great video brotha, very informative.
I have a 2000 civic ex coupe, would these brakes fit on it?
Yes it will, just need a bigger rotor!
282mm?
what are you going to do on the rear?
Hell ya!
Will this fit on a EG8/EH9 sedan?
You need to get a hub centric ring , your mini rotors are sitting on the studs, they should be resting on the center hub not on the studs
Thought the same, also adding a slight bit of movement on the discs, putting alot of strain on the studs when the brakes are used
The mini rotors are hub centric, same hub size. If they weren't, I wouldn't of even used them
Didn’t look like the rotor was on the ring it looked like it was on the studs , but hey I was watching a video so it could have just looked like that
010720 pause at 16:05. You can see they’re hub centric
@@LATOMMYLAMini hubs at least for the F56 is 67mm and 5x112, not sure about the 4x100 Mini
Hi sir, what type brake pad u use?
What brakes do u use on rear?
Do they make rear spoon calipers?
i want ask u... your rim what spec ??
you had some rubbin' on the inner walls? maybe because of the tire size?
Yup
How much for ur old set up
Is it ok for the rotors to be sitting on the studs and wiggle like that? I don’t know much about cars but it seems odd.
The rotors are hubcentric, same goes to running wheel spacers on extended studs.
Where did you brother got them folding mirrors from?
Bought them on eBay couple years ago
Thank you
do you know if i would need to make any modifications to install these on my EH3?. other than bigger rotors
I think you will have to cut the dust shield also, but I would do some reason to make sure first for your chassis
What lugnuts you running i’m looking for a quality set also
J's racing
Dope
4door ftw
Can you do my brakes? How do I contact you?
Yo Tommy next car should be (9th gen SI FB6)
👍👀
What are the specs of those tires?
225/50
LATOMMYLA my man! Thanks for taking the time to reply. For me I love the look of thick tyres they look mean.
Legit ! ! ! 💯💯🔥🔥
I need some
Get emmm
LATOMMYLA LATOMMYLA I would have to wait a coupe of weeks so I can afford them. Sell me your old set up
Does spoon company come English translation paper or I have to use google translate to use it
Only Japanese instructions and you don't need google translate, you have this video to watch haha
