I have an older P720 with dual Xeon E5-2670 v3s for 24 cores, 48 threads and 128GB of DDR4-2133 Samsung ECC. Also 2 8TB WD Red drives. Paid around $1200 total. Beast of a machine and don’t know what to do with all the horsepower lol 😂
You all prolly dont give a shit but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot the login password. I love any assistance you can give me.
This system has actually been out for about 2 years now. I think they will be releasing a new model very soon. That said, IT Creations still has this in stock right now, here: bit.ly/2Fzj4Qx Have a great holiday, and thanks for watching!
You are correct. These systems have very similar specifications and are both the top of the line models from HP and Lenovo, respectively. These systems are kind of overkill on the specs to be honest. If memory serves me, I think one of the main differences is that the P920 only supports 2TB of memory while the Z8 G4 supports up to 3TB. Not a deal killer! If you are considering these two systems then also check out the Dell Precision 7920, which is Dell's most powerful workstation and definitely in the same league as the other two. We carry all three :). I have provided some links to our Workstations pages if you want to browse the models and the information provided. All three of these systems have also been reviewed on this channel.. Good luck in your decision and thanks for watching! Lenovo: goo.gl/oTUJ92 Dell: goo.gl/n6nAzN HP: goo.gl/ay6bgA
Show its power supply connectors. I purchased hp z640 last year it contains only 2 6pin connectors for the gpu while it supports gpu upto rtx 3080. while rtx 3070 have 2 8pin connectors, while some rtx cards have 2 6pin and 1 8pin connect while hp z640 don't have much connectors. How i can give power to card which contain 2 6pin and 1 8pin ? 6-8 pin convertor can't provide full power to the card. Second when you make about work stations tell about power supply connectors and also about latest card and their power connectors also. Thanks.
Hey Jacob, I just wanted to tell you that this video is 9 minutes and 20 seconds long. Plan your life accordingly. I mean our videos are at the top of the list? Right. It's too short? We are posting a custom workstation in the next few days with a 64-core Threadripper CPU. I'm just going to give you a heads up now. It's over 11 minutes, maybe more!! Thanks for commenting, and thanks for watching!
@@Itcreations-LA I'm not complaining about the length of the video, this was in fact the video that introduced me to this channel. I thought it was slightly comedic that the video on the p920 has a 9:20 duration. Looking forward to more great and In depth content!
@@Sven136 Even after you said that the first time I didn't notice the true meaning in your plain as day words. Strange how that worked out. Completely unintentional.
I always liked the look and build of the P920, but seems like its much rarer to find refurbished ones compared to the Dell T7920, and when I do, the P920 is overpriced by a large margin for the same and in many cases lower spec hardware configuration.
Hi there J.A. H. R. Puffin Stuff (had to, sorry, th-cam.com/video/AxHF-VnzvVo/w-d-xo.html), The one with the least HDs and CPUs will be the quiet one because those are the elements that require cooling. That said I have a P700 under my desk sitting about 12 inches off my right knee with 5 HDs two of which are standard HDDs plus 3 SSDs and I don't hear anything other than some crime drama podcast one of our accounting people is listening to. It really depends on how you outfit the system. SSDs don't make the whirring sound that a traditional spinning disk would make (HDD). All of these newer systems are very quiet. You could also go with a liquid cooling solution without a fan, which would cut down on noise but again these systems are pretty quiet. There was only one time my system started getting loud all of a sudden and it was because a Zip tie had gotten lodged in the blades somehow…Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
There is a little video that Lenovo produced that will give you a general idea of the things that can slow down your system, this: pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/workstations/thinkstation-p-series-workstations/thinkstation-p920-rack/videos/vid500122-tips-tricks-why-is-my-computer-slow. Definitely get some compressed air, disconnect everything and take your system outside, open the panel and give it a thorough blast all over to get rid of any dust buildup. Another thing. If you are currently running hard disk drives in your system installing a compatible SSD will make a world of difference. I mean a huge and noticeable increase in speed. Check out SATA SSDs and use one of the drive slots on your system to install the drive and migrate your OS to that drive and any other programs you typically use frequently. Then make that your boot drive. I put an SSD in my 20 year old computer running Win 10 and it starts up in like 30 seconds now where it used to take over a minute. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Hi There! I do not see that processor suffix mentioned in the documentation, just the 8260T. Here is a link to the Lenovo P920 Specifications as updated as recently as September of 2022: psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/ThinkStation/ThinkStation_P920/ThinkStation_P920_Spec.PDF Thanks for watching!
Hi Austin, Potentially much more. It does depend on how you outfit the system. Of course, to get started a single processor, 16GB of memory, and a graphics card will do the trick but then you have to ask yourself, can I load this system up before the technology is obsolete?
