@Luke C First person and no autoaim are more challenging if that's what you mean. Also getting gold in the story missions is difficult. That's why the gameplay is so restrictive in missions. In the replay feature your progression doesn't carry over and you get limited ammo and items. But I believe they patched that and fast travel because of bi***ng about difficulty. I prefer playing how it was meant. In 1st person like Skyrim. Don't play the game if you don't like horse riding, hunting, fishing, exploring, to stay alive. The horse controls make perfect sense once you think about it. You steer by moving the camera on console, and the same works on pc by moving the mouse. Pressing A or D on the keyboard is asking your horse to do an abrupt 90 degree turn.
7:54 That's happening because you have the index out. It happens on consoles too. I think it's because the index is for selecting specific icons on the map, and when you try to make a custom waypoint with it out, it assumes you're trying to select something from the index when you press X/A/Left-Click. Turn off the index and it should stop happening.
"Oh my God!" "What? I did not do this! Ok... Well.. I guess... since I stared it..." Love that part. Keep up the amazing work! You rock! ^^ Oh! And Pleeeeeeeeeease play Life is Strange - my best game of all time. Thank you. ^^
I never played the first game but I have to say... I was surprised by how little I enjoyed this game. It's so tedious, there is so little freedom in how you approach missions, and there are so many weird quirks like the ones you pointed out at the end of the video that get in the way of a good time.
I was unimpressed by the combat being exactly the same as the last game. Hide behind cover, pop out and shoot until you're damaged, wait until your COD health automatically replenishes, rinse and repeat. Enemies don't flank or do anything interesting. They just stay behind the same cover until you eventually kill them. The only enemies that were any fun to fight were the skinners because some of them come at you with machetes.
gotta say, the first vid I ever saw on this channel was the OG Red Dead 2 review, and it put me off the content bc I felt as though the video game wasn't quite understood as a medium as a whole with some of the criticisms. After seeing this tonight, I have subbed and binged your content bc the appreciation and understanding of the medium is so well represented, especially from the perspective of the one not playing. Game wasn’t a great experience personally since the actual movement and combat were so bad. Story wasn’t delivered well enough to make up for it either. Cool premise that wasn’t taken proper advantage of or captivating enough and got old well before it was over.
I watched your first video in the middle of my 1st play through and started making my girlfriend watch me play games. Now I’m watching this video in the middle of watching my girlfriend’s 2nd play through. How times change.
The horse controls make perfect sense once you think about it. You steer by moving the camera on console, and the same works on pc by moving the mouse. Pressing A or D on the keyboard is asking your horse to do an abrupt 90 degree turn.
OMG, that Dave Chappelle bit almost made me laugh out loud at my desk. This is hilarious!
Girlfriend Reviews more like really good reviews am I right?
I would love to see what they say about Life is strange. Honestly one of the best story driven games I have ever played.

That's happening because you have the index out. It happens on consoles too. I think it's because the index is for selecting specific icons on the map, and when you try to make a custom waypoint with it out, it assumes you're trying to select something from the index when you press X/A/Left-Click. Turn off the index and it should stop happening.
Excellent clip use. Excellent editing. Excellent narration. Must say this channel officially impresses me!
Potentially the best editing on TH-cam. It's so good to watch
"Oh my God!"
"What? I did not do this! Ok... Well.. I guess... since I stared it..." Love that part. Keep up the amazing work! You rock! ^^
Oh!
The editing on all these videos are amazing
gotta say, the first vid I ever saw on this channel was the OG Red Dead 2 review, and it put me off the content bc I felt as though the video game wasn't quite understood as a medium as a whole with some of the criticisms. After seeing this tonight, I have subbed and binged your content bc the appreciation and understanding of the medium is so well represented, especially from the perspective of the one not playing. It is nice to see these beloved games from a different POV. Also appreciate how you point this out yourself in multiple "revisiting" videos
You know, with all this newfound appreciation for games as art and stuff, why the hell have they not played Shadow of the Colossus?
they did on the ps2 episode.
They need to do the remaster.
"should your boyfriend play hellblade senua's sacrifice" pretty please with sugar on top
I really like the violin of “Times are A Changin”
do you know what the songs called

I wish I could "relike" this. Your videos are awesome! Going back now to go rewatch the very first video (RDR2) that convinced me spending money on a ps4 in my adult life that would not do anything to further my personal and professional goals was 1000% worth it.
(Seriously have never owned a game console till that video- Rockstar should sponsor you lol)
PSA:
I own 9 horses and had heard about this game from friends and the interwebs, but your RDR2 review convinced me and another horse friend each to buy consoles for the sole reason of playing this ONE game.
*owns 9 horses. Spends 3 hours caring for 1 virtual horse*
THANK YOU GFR FOR REMINDING ME HOW MUCH I LOVED VIDEO GAMES!!
Kudos to the skill share ad that featured Aaron Draplin and his amazing logo design course! Love that dude!
