Had an amazing time living in Capitola on park ave. My family really enjoyed our time there but we moved back home. Capitola will always have a place in our hearts. My 8, 5 and 3 yrlds will never forget there time there. Glad we had our chance to experience it.
I loved going there. It was such a laid back place with fun stores to look in and shop. Getting some ice cream and sitting on the benches with a view of the pelicans circling in the air and dive bombing straight down into the ocean to catch a fish was so fun. I would often stay at the Venetians motel directly behind the brightly painted homes. Such a relaxing time being there.
Wow, that is gorgeous! I can't believe I've lived in California my whole life and never knew about this place. I'm pleased to see you can walk amongst the colorful buildings. I only saw pictures of them from the distance. Thanks for sharing
I used to live in Capitola. My late husband and I would walk to the beach a lot. I also sold a lot of handmade jewelry in one of the downtown shops, as well as post cards in a number of them. That one colorful home on the end belonged to a lady who passed away I have a couple of shots from inside that end window. Looks like they ruined the front yard of it, though. She had tons of beautiful flowers all over it.
If you had walked farther down the beach (left side, looking towards ocean), you would've seen some cliffs with fossils in them. And even farther down was the beached ship.
I recently saw your video on the statue of liberty and ellis island. You all seem to remember it as it is, even though im from austrslia, I vividly remember the statue of liberty being on ellis island, so do many many ppl who lived in new york all their lives. If you dont know about the mandela effect, is seriously advise you look it up on youtube, also many ppl have memories of going up into the torch, the crown AND the torch. Sound weird??? Millions ppl globally now affected by the mandela effect, milions ppl CONSCIUOUSLY being shifted to parallel universes or earths. No matter how I explain this, it WILL sound crazy, bt before you brush me off as koo koo, have a look at all the EVIDENCE to back up my story. You NEED TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON

Glad you enjoyed it! It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the South Bay / Santa Cruz area!
Fantastic! Just learned something new😁. Never would have guessed that was outside San Jose!! That dog was cute too.
We couldn't believe how colorful the town is! So close to San Jose!
I drove from Los Gatos to Capitola in May of 1988. We had a great day. Ate at Zeldas. The town reminded me of where I grew up on Cape Cod.
Yes! It did have a back east feel to it!
I LOVE Capitola ❤️
This place looks amazing. Would LOVE to live in one of those colourful houses by the beach😍😍!!
Aren't they cute! I love all the colors and details on the buildings.
