As a native californian born and raised in southern california im very proud to be from california regardless of the negative things people have to say. We have it all. Beautiful cities beaches towns mountain ranges lakes cultures etc.etc.I love california. My home state.it is expensive here just makes you hustle work harder is all.
Got that right. People who have never lived in CA or can even afford CA have a lot of garbage to say.
Me too. LOVE this state, feel BLESSED to be born/raised here. I cant imagine myself living anywhere else. Paradise
Same here but born and raised in Northern California. There is NO PLACE LIKE CALIFORNIA!! You can do anything here, almost in one day. Haters are jealous becuase they can't afford to live here, and those that live here and hate on California should just plain leave. (One note on the video is Cambria. I went in the 90s for the first time and it was great - sophisticated art galleries, shops and hotels.I revisted in 2019, and it has turned into one big, tacky junk store of cheap souvenirs and bad art. But the other towns are in this piece are amazing. It's a good bucket list!)

@@viaveritaschap I’ve noticed ALOT of the haters born/raised in Cali are the young or Gen Z and I believe it’s mostly because that’s all they hear on the internet and theyre an extremely cult-y/hive-mind generation that believes everything they read/hear on the internet. Or maybe they’re just young and havent had a chance to experience Cali’s greatness due to the pandemic stealing those moments from them. Many say they “cant wait to leave” yet have never been anywhere lol. Gonna be a big reality check when/if they end up in the Midwest. Grass isnt always greener on the other side.
No Solvang? Solvang is very charming guys - beautiful danish village! 😍
Solvang is not only mentioned in the video, it’s even on the thumbnail ;)
Great list! I would add Crescent City, Duncans Mills, and Wrightwood.
Thanks for the comment! Maybe I’ll make a part 2 :)
Because you have the money to get 316 days of sunshine no humidity every day of your life…but not everyone can afford that ;)
Such creative videos you’ve on this channel. I just subscribed!
Thank you so much! :)
Most of your Tahoe City video is actually South Lake Tahoe, which locals would tell you is a different kind of place
Exactly... all were shots of Casinos! Tahoe City is much, much nicer...
So many in Northern California he missed many in Central and Southern California
Lived here all my life. Haven't visited some of these charming locations. 😂
Me too! Very nice list!
You’re poor but you don’t know it
The Birds was filmed in both Bodega Bay and the town of Bodega (which is inland from the coast). Mr. Hitchcock combined the two towns to appear as one town.
I get irrationally annoyed when people say they’re going to Bodega but are going to bodega bay😂
Your next four photos of "Nevada City" after you see the two men walking through the mineshaft are of Virginia City Nevada. Difference Nevada City is in the middle of a forest and Virginia City Nevada is in the high desert.
Wow, good catch! Piper's Opera House is in Virginia City.
# 15, Tahoe City, your photo shows STATELINE, Nevada, where the casinos are in South Shore, not Tahoe City at the North Shore. There are NO tall buildings in Tahoe City.
Looks like the photos used for Tahoe City actually show South Lake Tahoe and/or Stateline (Tahoe City has no large casino hotels). But also, for my money, Truckee is nicer than either.
Truckee is one of the coldest places in the USA each winter. No ty.

I don't think you had any gold country towns.
who i the heck is the narrator of this? Annoying style
How are Del Mar and Coronado small towns? They are basically next to San Diego! Encinitas is more of a small town vibe than Del Mar and Coronado.
You missed so many places that are way better than the list you posted. SMH 🤦♂️
Which ones would you suggest? Maybe I’ll make a part 2! :)
That's ridiculous. While there are many other gems, he hits the main ones. The problem is that CA is full of some of the greatest small towns of the world. CA haters, just stay away, we don't want you.
Seemed most cities you list here are not HIDDEN at all, full/over crowded owith tourists, except Ferndale, Dunsmuir , and Julian.
These are some of the whitest towns in the entire country. It's interesting how diversity is not always our strength when it comes to safety, cleanliness - you know a place someone would want to visit. So uncanny.
Just like if you visit the Philippines. It's the most Filipino towns in its country. LOL I think it would still be a great place to visit.
What, newsome and the 'great things he has brought to california' isnt #1? Plain and simple, people are LEAVING commefornia, NOT VISITING THERE!
No one cares if you are not visiting California stay in your rat hole
Not only are you ignorant, but apparently you can't read either. The title is the best SMALL towns in CA. SF is not considered a small town. And it's spelled Newsom, not Newsome. Furthermore, SF & LA are two of the most visited cities in the US, not bumfukk nowhere USA where you're from.
Can you read? The title is SMALL towns. SF is not a small town . And what are you talking about, SF & LA are two of the most visited cities in the US. Def not bumfukk USA where you're from 😀😀😀.
You are watching way too much Fox News. People want to visit because its hands down the most beautiful state in the nation. Lifetime resident, been to many states and there is nothing like it. Oh and yes, I'm a Republican.
@@jimaccornero3688 👏👏👏
#15 is not Tahoe City, Tahoe City is on the North Shore in California and Your showing State Line Nevada.
If you had a choice why would anybody live in California??????
Because it’s so beautiful !
Just watch this video. These are all lovely places to live. Have lived in Capitola and now live in a tiny town south of Half Moon Bay. I love California!
Get rid of Gavin and get politicians who care about this “once” safe beautiful State and it will have a chance to return to her glory days. I’ve been to most of these beautiful small towns. I wish I could afford to live in many of them.
Carmel-by-the Sea…. Love this town so so much.
@@Jace28142 Republicans politicians are the worse. The problem with CA is that it got overpopulated and it got expensive to live here. CA has it all.
