Totally agree with your thoughts on the English drinker. I've tried many times to get my friends off the lager rubbish. I was lucky enough at a young age thirty years back to work around the world. When landing on our nearest neighbour Belgian it changed me forever. the beer experience has lasted to this day...👍
Alright lads and lasses , I'm a blessed human being. I live just a half an hour away from La Trappe and I can say, this guy does La Trappe the best respect and honours it can give. The beers are fantastic and he pretty much nailed the sensation of this beer . I won't say much because it will set expectations high, but it's worth it.
Love to watch. Nice storytelling! I have to taste this one, it' s gonna happen, it is standing in a cold place waiting for that special moment... I haven' t had that many quads, i thought it was the adrianus...
Im just having a bottle of Trappistes Rochefort 10 (quadrupel) that I brought back from Belgium a few months ago. At 11.3% its the strongest beer I've ever had and its delicious as I love Trappist beers and Belgian beers in general. My Mrs is getting me a St.Bernardus gift pack for my birthday next week which contains the Tripel, Pater 6 and Prior 8 as well as Abt 12 which is a fantastic beer that I'v had before at 10.2% I believe. Ive never had the Tripel, Pater 6 or Prior 8 but I look forward to them. Ive had had quite a few other St.Bernardus brews though, 'Extra 4' and 'St Bernardus Wit' etc
Final beer to try from the gift pack for me, been impressed with all four beers and the glass is something else work of art tbf! This quad is class in a glass, sweet rich and a little dangerous although I did get a little warmth Going down the hatch Cheers
Very very nice beer just tried this tonight 03/01/2022 I didn't fined this as bad as I thought it would abv wise, I found it went down quite easy and not too bad a burn, if I tried this year's ago then may be a different story, great review Mark as always
i think the sweetness really helps mask the warmth, its a phenomenally sweet beer. I remember my boyfriend having a sip and being surprised at how sugary it is. Ive described it as "christmas cake in a bottle", but that doesn't prepare people for the vanilla and licorice notes tho. Its a gorgeous beer, enjoying one rn on my long christmas weekend!!
Good review, happy to sub to your channel! Have you tasted the two beers of that other Dutch Trappist brewery Zundert as well? The Zundert 10 is also a Quadrupel and quite tasty! We shot a short video about this brewery, you might like it, cheers!

La Trappe, one of my favorite beer brands! I love all of their beers! Currently drinking the last bit of my Quadrupel. Cheers!

Zuster Agatha from muifel brewery was the first... Lovely as wel
I love la trappe, the quadrupel is an incredible beer, it doesn't seem to have 10º, great channel and review, regards from Spain
Really good beer! It feels like a desert. It's like you said, its about the quality, not the quantity

Beautiful beer. Tastes every bit of the 10% but I don’t mind that. Lovely on tap and from the bottle!
Finally: i totally agree (being at the age of 51, so much wiser, ahum) with you about quality drinking!
I've only ever had their blonde and I loved it. I really need to try this one. The beer looks so enticing. Wish it was me drinking it.

Does the la trappe beers need to be refrigerated?
What a glass. I'd flog my nan's colostomy bag to medical science for that beer glass. Great review as always.
I’d buy your nans bag .. we’ve all done it..🤣
cheers for that review, where did you find that glass?

Having mine before dinner. Probably should have had it afterwards 🤔🤔
I thought it was an "A" (most excellent).

The Bier Hooligan That's correct, the brewery is not open for visitors so it was kind of special that we were allowed to shoot a video.
Damn you and I saw this one the same on the smell, very hefeweizen like. I actually thought this was like drinking 3 beers during the course of this.
if you want to get wasted, buy pilsner beer, these trappist beers you drink like a good wine
