I love Temu! I have found most things I buy are good quality. But read all descriptions.

The wooden travel palette works great if you add tiny hinges. And a tiny pieces of double stick tape to hold in the tiny squares

How would you add the hinges? I need to try it outside to test if it's a real problem or not

Very interesting art material review. I live in the Scotland, and we too are enjoying the ‘introductory’ prices on Temu and it has fed my art supply (I don’t purchase watercolours though) addiction very cheaply. What interests me greatly about Temu is the fact that although everything is shipped from China, it is actually an American owned company. Quite what difference that will have long term, we shall wait and see. I am a fan of the travel brushes and Boahong paper. Compared to many cotton papers, it still remains the most affordable without the loss of too much quality. It is inevitable that when something becomes less of a well kept secret, and demand goes up, so does the price. This was my first video of yours I was shown on my homepage, but having read your ‘About’ section, I am curious just how you can be colourblind, yet paint so beautifully. I am very much a beginner, and an old one at that, but I do enjoy playing with my supplies and find it relaxing. Many thanks again for taking the time to post, and I look forward to catching up with your back catalogue of videos. I seldom write, but when I enjoy something, I always click like, and read and like other comments - the algorithm loves any and all interaction. Good luck with growing your channel 👍🏻🖌🎨

I feel honored that you took the time to write this detailed comment! Thank you. I know that art supplies addiction feeling... I'm trying to fight it right now. I was also wondering : what is actually American in this Company? There is nothing American, to me everything looks Chinese, app included. Baohong paper is great, particularly for studies, yet I'm not quite sure if I have different types of the same paper, because my 2 Baohong sketchbooks behave differently, one is making colors more dull that the other. Have you tried professional and academy series as well? Have you noticed any difference? As regard for color blindness, it's very common in males (8% with a vast majority in the green/red cone) compared to females due to genetic. I was indeed mixing all possible colors badly and I started painting only 3 years ago, when I understood how to use a limited palette and take advantage of complementary colors 😁

@@illustrazionidilut I believe the company have registered the company in America, but all sellers and items remain Chinese. If I were to guess a reason for doing this, it would be to help with selling worldwide and dealing with customs. Not only do they not charge postage, but they don’t take the individual taxes all counties charge on imports. I find it all quite confusing, which is why I collect and play with art supplies, and don’t run a company 🤷🏼‍♀️
I like Baohong paper in general, but have only tried the Academy one. I have watched artists compare them, and there appears to be so little in performance, but a huge difference in price. However, I think such things are very personal to each artist. I too have the sketchbooks with leather covers, one green and one brown. One is hot pressed and one cold pressed. For the moment I cannot remember which is which. I do love that they are both 100% cotton and 300gsm/140lb. The price I paid for each was very low in comparison to western brands. Keep on producing your wonderful videos, and I shall wait in each new one 😊👍🏻🖌🎨👩🏻‍🎨

I have heard the same about Baohong paper academy vs professional! But never tried personally. I do have a big red covered sketchbook hot pressed which is very good for the price I paid indeed. Thanks for the support and let's see what come next 👐

I think you will love it! I find it perfect for studies. Really only drawback is the fact that colors aren't bright as with other cotton papers. Thanks for watching!

Baohong Watercolor cotton paper is fairly good, give it a try! I still prefer other brands for final pieces but for studies is great. They have nice sketchbooks as well

I'm looking for to get the travel brush, it seems good. I'm happy with most of the stuff and art supplies I bought at Temu, it's best to read all the reviews and product description, that's for sure. I'd love to know how you get 50% discount. Thank you for sharing.

On what? I don't remember anymore 🤔 maybe was a promotion at European launch... Travel brush is good! I would say that normally quality is medium high on temu stuff in my experience (apart from some items..)
