Ford GT is a great car to hold for awhile. This is not the typical buy and flip exotic car. Double the value in around 10 years is a huge win. Sounds better than real estate
aaaa... Ford GT had very high annual ownership cost...(insurance, maintaince and repair, labor) 10 years inflation... and the space it take over... it barely enough to do that... it not a investment.. it a toy...
My biggest problem with the Ford GT is I'd want to drive the hell out of it, putting a ton of miles on it, but then I'm basically losing value by doing that. Not to mention the more you drive it the more chances for dinging the paint, and breaking stuff in general.

Your mods looked killer. But what I got out of this is a piece of plastic melts and the guages can be killed. Most everything else seemed like “upgrades” you wanted to do. I think investing in a backup camera would be a worth while upgrade. The designer of the car said on his Jay Leno’s Garage interview that the gauges are standard “Autoguage” and just the bezels are fabricated by ford. I’m guessing someone who knows what they are doing can swap out the guages but I doubt they get damages by doing that. Particularly the mechanical guages. It’s likely a trace on the power for the guages that burns out and can be fixed.

If they’re over 12k miles or so price will go down because of course miles. If you start putting turbos or high performance add ons to it the value (real value) won’t be “basically” no again from a collective perspective. The car is beautiful though!

Well they were originally priced at 100k when they came out in 2006 by an American car company. Everything was plastic then.

this is why i would buy a kit car model if i wanted a gt 40 but my fav would be the daytona coupe, more practical and just as good looking to me.
