The Ford GT’s $1,000,000 price tag reflects its rarity and pedigree, especially since it’s a limited-production supercar that pays homage to Ford’s racing legacy at Le Mans.
Its design and engineering, like the carbon fiber construction and high-performance EcoBoost V6 engine, contribute to its high valuation, but some might debate whether it’s worth that much compared to European supercars
For collectors, the Ford GT’s value also lies in its exclusivity-Ford limited production numbers, and not just anyone can buy one, adding to its allure.
While it has impressive performance stats, such as top speeds over 200 mph, whether it’s worth $1,000,000 depends on how much someone values the brand’s history and the GT’s role in automotive culture.
Many argue that a car’s worth at that price point is subjective-it’s not just about speed or technology, but about emotional connection, heritage, and prestige
There are other cars in the $1,000,000 range that may outperform the Ford GT in terms of raw power, but the GT is often seen as a piece of art that embodies Ford’s racing spirit.

Secondly the power train, it's the all new biggest and best hypercar, are you seriously telling me after 10 years of the p1 and using the same v8 twin turbo in every single car, they couldn't have made it a different engine? I think even if they used the v10 from the solus gt it would been MILES better, all in all its cool but underwhelming and well the interior is kinda ugly you gotta admit
@Destroyer-Grizzly-BIH I personally love it, and hence why I said it'll age like fine wine. If it's too garish and out there, it'll look dated in 10 years. @aron_1_percent I agree that the design from front to back isn't the most cohesive, and that the front end resembles a lot of other vehicles (r8, model 3, rimac etc.) But it doesn't bug me that much. I'd rather that over something that's overstyled. The interior gradient patterns hurts my head, but that's just a spec. The power plant is likely more reliably built, as we're all aware of the issues mclarens had with their rods and other components. Given that it doesn't have a high top speed, I think this will be more of a scalpel and an absolute track weapon. I'm stoked on it
I get the dismay with the engine, but ford used this engine (and aerodynamic features like the flying buttresses) for their efficiency at Le Mans, where a slight improvement in fuel consumption and top speed gave them the edge. Look at the bright side, it's an engine with a massive aftermarket and building them to any spec is pretty cheap in comparison to exotic engines. I get it, it doesn't make much sense for the average investor/collector to touch the engine but for the enthusiast it's an option. If it was me, i'd build a high spec long block made to rev to the moon with a fully built head and with upgraded turbos and literally swap out the engine to keep the original VIN engine fresh(if the casting makes it possible with dry sump etc). A couple thousand RPM can work wonders in making an engine more responsive, racy and sound exotic. With these turbo engines one can make all the power even at lower rpm but in a homologation special it comes across as somewhat agrarian to the driver i guess.

The reason they developed the new Ford GT was to win Le Mans again after 50 years which they managed in 2016 in the LM-GTE class. They did consider to use both V8 and V12 but found the more compact V6 to be advantageous for the new aero rules for 2016. I think it looks like masterpiece and likely could never have got that look with a larger engine. Larry Holt did say that they owed the car to make the final track only version Mk IV 800hp.
I couldn't agree with you more on the engine. If they were adamant about having a V6 in it, they should've built one exclusive to this car. I get it, it wouldn't be very cost effective but like you said, 1 million dollar price tag? Just f'n do it! And if not then, then use a better engine. Idk, man... Its still a cool car though. Just could've been better.
0:46 I remember one of the media reported that the build quality of the W-motor Lykan Hyper Sport was very bad and use lot of plastic and it was thrown out when it was about to be released.
1:05 finally someone who says it it feels like youtube is dominated by "yea sayer" youtubers that love EVERYTHING all the time on more nishe channels u then can hear more truthfull reviews about those cars. 1:40 especially that shocked me. The reveal of the W1 is probabaly the biggest disappointment in the last 4 years for me. With the Mclaren F1 being my favorite car, i really hoped that Mclaren will do something special here. But its just another hybrid hypercar that looks like a Zenvo Aurora and Rimac Nivera
I like this guy's review. But It's probably one of my favorite cars. It is a 1,2,4 winning Le Mans hypercar equiv fyi--and i didnt need Jay Leno to say it like 10 times in his review to know that... I personally like how the car sounds. Not saying it's quite a flat plane Z06/ZR1 but, with its carbon tub, it can probably make up some of that horsepower difference.
The looks are worth $1,000.000...one of the best looking supercars of the modern era. The car felt super stable under hard acceleration and put the power down nicely. But the ride is crap, I've never been in a car of this stature that was so rough riding (in normal "comfort" mode no less) when driven on the street. I understand that this is a race car that was made street legal but if the McLaren 720S can ride like a Range Rover on the street, you're telling me that mega Ford couldn't design a suspension that would make it more street friendly? I find the interior to be very kit car-like... not impressed. Lots of weird noises and buzzing at highway speeds. Having your shoulder touch your passenger at all times is irritating. Storage is challenging to fit even one helmet. So you buy a $550k plus supercar and the warranty is 36mo/36,000 miles....with no option to buy an extended warranty from Ford. I haven't check to see if that's changed but holy hell, really? I won't even discuss the motor and lack of horsepower at this price point....pretty obvious mistake by Ford.
Dude, Ron, purpose matters. It's not a drag car its a track car. I think the right question for the GT is: Is it the right power for the chassis on the Nürburgring? What is your answer to that?
I'm guessing the AM Valkyrie is the next car. I hope I get to see him ripping it out here in Utah like I caught Eli's Gintani Senna two weeks ago today.
Why are you speaking on this car like it’s supposed to be on a drag strip. It’s a lightweight track focused car that pays tribute to the original gt. It isn’t supposed to be 1000hp
An DON'T HATE THE ecoboost 3.5 . U need some MODS FOR IT LIKE COSWORTH CAMS& Water Methanol kit then ask Ai to design u a better sounding to you Header / downpipe / resonator / muffler system.
Well said, as usual!
I would’ve loved if the new Ford GT had a high revving NA V8 or a modified Godzilla V8
After this, I'd love to see Ron test drive a Maserati MC20! LOL
Your Ford GT is a beautiful car.
So did you apply for the GTD and did you get an allocation? If you did, are you going through with it?
Thanks for telling the truth about this car and engine.
0:46 I remember one of the media reported that the build quality of the W-motor Lykan Hyper Sport was very bad and use lot of plastic and it was thrown out when it was about to be released.
background song at 8:00?
I love this channel 🔥🔥🔥😭😭😭
Love the latest an acquisition of Carbon Series FGT.
The ford gt looks awesome. Would be so sick if you were the guy who engine swapped his gt
A z06 for $150K is a 10.6 second car, and sounds amazing…just saying.
1:05 finally someone who says it
it feels like youtube is dominated by "yea sayer" youtubers that love EVERYTHING all the time
on more nishe channels u then can hear more truthfull reviews about those cars.
New Ford GT might be the best designed car of all time for me
I like this guy's review. But It's probably one of my favorite cars. It is a 1,2,4 winning Le Mans hypercar equiv fyi--and i didnt need Jay Leno to say it like 10 times in his review to know that... I personally like how the car sounds. Not saying it's quite a flat plane Z06/ZR1 but, with its carbon tub, it can probably make up some of that horsepower difference.
awesome to hear you’ve got a Valkerie on the way ! lol
Shmee 150 put an exhaust on his. He also drives it in the UK & US as well as Europe.
It's a purpose built vehicle my friend. Built for endurance races LeMan. You can give it to me 😊
Its crazy a Turbo S fully speced out goes for 200k+ and has better 0-60 and 1/4 times then the ford gt.
I agree the Ford gt is gorgeous
Mr Ron dissing the whole world 😂
The looks are worth $1,000.000...one of the best looking supercars of the modern era. I find the interior to be very kit
car-like... not impressed.
The McLaren W1 looks like a grand theft auto car. Cars like that work for a video game, not for real life
Dude, Ron, purpose matters. It's not a drag car its a track car. I think the right question for the GT is: Is it the right power for the chassis on the Nürburgring? What is your answer to that?
Why wouldn’t they just use a tuned gt500 engine ?
It is the same engine, but its hand built at Roush Yates racing in NC. The other 3.5 ecoboosts arent made there
Will you tune/ do a turbo upgrade.
I'm guessing the AM Valkyrie is the next car. I hope I get to see him ripping it out here in Utah like I caught Eli's Gintani Senna two weeks ago today.
And congratulations, about the bast looking Spec on these.
You should put the 5.2 v8 from the gt350 in it. The gt is my favorite car but I fully agree they screwed up the engine.
Why are you speaking on this car like it’s supposed to be on a drag strip. It’s a lightweight track focused car that pays tribute to the original gt. It isn’t supposed to be 1000hp
The w1 looks sick. With the gullwing doors and increased power. Think those that passed on that allocation will regret it
An DON'T HATE THE ecoboost 3.5 . U need some MODS FOR IT LIKE COSWORTH CAMS& Water Methanol kit then ask Ai to design u a better sounding to you Header / downpipe / resonator / muffler system. Cause the EcoBoost can sound like a crazy v8 or v10 . Just needs re designed headers with( In firing order ) 6 into 5 into4 into 2 system
