Thanks a lot for your wonderful videos! I just purchased a instant pot and used the next day. I watched a few videos and pretend I knew what I was doing . I’m happy it worked. Now I’m happy I found your channel. I have watched a couple of your videos and already learned a ton of things . Thks again
Great Info! I have been using my instant pot for about 6 months so some of this info was new for me. I had to laugh at myself as I was horrified that anyone one would want to turn off the funny sounds the pot makes...my husband says it is the only appliance he has ever seen that sings to you.
Hey! I just got my instant pot a couple of days ago and I just now watched this and I love it. Thank you so much for doing this! I subscribed to your channel and I also clicked to join your Facebook channel. I’ve cooked in mine only twice and I love it. So I want to learn everything I can do with it, tricks, hacks, recipes. So please keep up the good work and thank you so much.
Good stuff Karen! New to InstaPot, excited to discover it's potential! I've already cooked some great meals in it and looking for variety of what l don't usually cook:-)
Hi, Karen, I'm delighted to stumble on this video, I'm out of bread and thought I'd TRY to make some bread! Fingers crossed! This video included proofing dough in the IP...now I have the how-to! Thanks! : )
The proofing dough idea was the best idea I was unaware of... I have to agree, the music portions are way to loud, so much so I had to turn it way down....then you came on and had to turn you way up.
proofing dough - lids. how about the instant pot fitted silicone cover. in other words. can it be fitted tight or should there be some airflow through a loose fitted lid?
Agree the dough tip is useful for me. Also the music is blowing my ears out due to headphone use. AND you are doing a video on Christmas.? Hope you have a good Christmas no matter what.
Thank you for the great tips; just found you and just subscribed. Looking forward to trying the bread --- what do you think about using frozen (store bought) bread dough?
Quick question : I hope you or someone replys .... I've been thinking about getting an instant pot but what do you think about the Viva ? I rarely see videos on TH-cam about that instant pot thank you
2 things about the keep warm function it doesn't kick on to keep warm until after the pressure is released whether its a quick release or a natural release, and my keep warm you can adjust to less normal or more, don't know if that's true on all instant pots though
I just received a 3 quart Instant pot, but the accompanying booklets don't indicate how to adjust recipes downward. For example what is the maximum amount of dry beans which can be cooked, or what size whole chicken is the largest which can be handled by this unit. At 700 watts, it's power is less than the larger units. How does this affect cooking duration in recipes taken from larger units? I want to start using it, but need answers, very frustrating!
Also, just a FYI. Try to balance out the music, it's way to loud compared to the voice. Maybe try a percussive track on the next shoot? (I own a recording studio and l'm a musician so couldn't resist:-)
Tone down the music please. It should be noted that there are 18 different models of the pot and things maybe different on each one. I did learn something from this Thank You
OK Enough trolling. Instant Pot is a brand name, Crock Pot is a different brand. From your manual: "Although none of the buttons on Express Crock are labeled as “Manual” pressure, it is very easy to do. If you have a pressure recipe that requires a manual setting - or if you simply want to pressure cook using your own pressure setting and cook time - then select any of the “One-Touch Meal” pressure setting options below and adjust the pressure and cook time as needed. BEANS/CHILI DESSERT SOUP"
music > way too LOUD, cheering > LOUD, voice > too soft. that aside, i just subscribed and have watched five of your videos this morning. love your presentation, skill and advice. on the critical end of things, you really need to work on annoying, clinking, clanging sounds into mic and focus the audio more toward your lovely voice. in order to hear your spoken words the volume has to be raised to a level that makes those unwanted noises sound grating and jarring and shrieking to the listener's sensibilities.
i can't endure this particular video. too much noice and bad volume levels. needs a do-over. too bad. urgh, think i've tried to make it thru this one b4
Good tips. I change the sautee level by just pressing the sautee button several times which cycles through the 3 levels.

Thanks. Just got an Instant Pot and these tips helped a lot. Especially how to vary sautee settings.
Thank you Karen! I love the proofing part :)

LOVE the tip about rising the yeast dough! I make smart loafs of bread every week. Thanks 😊🌸

Great tips I am new to Instant Pot I liked them very much. Thank you for sharing.
Found you over a year of when this vid was made and subbed. So much great info for a new user. Thanks for the help.
Wow I’ll definitely be utilizing the lid rest & canceling the ‘keep warm’ feature. Thanks!
Those are nice tips which I didn't know about and I thank you for showing us how to do those different things without damaging our Instant Pot.
New subscriber. just got my Instant pot a couple weeks ago. Thanks for the tips.
Very helpful ☺️

I’m trying to clean my Insta pot and I took the rubber thing off the land and I can’t get it back, could you show me how please
Thank you so much
Great information that I appreciate. I have subscribed. Dough doesn't raise, though. It rises.
So happy I found your blog! New subscriber! ❤️
Wow, proofing bread ! I didn't see that coming. Cool!
Thanks so much! I didn't realize I could proof bread dough! And so much more
Really helpful! Thank you
And thanks for that heads-up about the plastic over the screen. I've used the IP several times and had no idea. Dang!
Very helpful. Just subscribed

T Enzen : BAD, BAD, LOUD music - don’t want to hear the whooping - so distracting, annoying and totally unprofessional.

Agree the dough tip is useful for me. Also the music is blowing my ears out due to headphone use. AND you are doing a video on Christmas.? Hope you have a good Christmas no matter what.
Thanks for this and all your videos!!!!
How can you change the preset cooking time? I saw that somewhere but can't find the info now.
New with Instant Pot, love your video's. Not on Instagram.
Sorry meant to say Facebook! You doing a great job!!
does this apply to poultry as well?

Can you raise the temp on the keep warm feature? I have the Instant Pot brand and mine doesn't really keep things warm enough to eat.
I hardly knew any of this stuff. Bahaha! Glad I watched.
Can you proof dough if your IP doesn’t have a yogurt setting? Lux style doesn’t have the yogurt setting.
What is that 'square loop' on the exterior base?
Well! Good to know! Thanks:)
Thanks for this awesome info! I can't wait to try the bread proofing...

Great👍
My instant pot does not have manual and adjust button.what should I do ?
great tips. Thanks. LOL, I thought the "L" was for "low" :)
The douugh tip is AWESOME!
I am having trouble getting my pot to toggle between low and high. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?
I don't have the Adjust button on my IP??? I have the Delay Button is that the same thing? I can't find my manual?
I don't have an adjust button it says keep warm how do I reset?
Great info. New sub here.

Be nice if you stated in the TITLE, which IP you have. Because not all have those setting options. Like the 3 QT LUX IP (that I have).
Haha I did not know about the film over the buttons. It has been bothering me because I thought mine was starting to bubble! THANK YOU 🙏🏻

Yes, thats right. I have a Crock Pot Instant Pot and don't have manual settings. It drives Mr crazy.
Drives "me" crazy lol
Funny, but if it wasn't a joke the "pressure cook" button bottom right is the manual button.
@@jokeybob there is no pressure cook button anywhere on my Crockpot Express instant pot. My bottom right button is "keep warm"

OMG....TURN DOWN THE MUSIC
Take off the headphones!

My instant pot has a delay setting
Good information, we subscribed. We could do without all the, yahoos.
Thanks for the great tips! I had no idea.

I’m getting braver using mine!
Yikes! The music is so LOUD!
Turn down the music please
Out of date instructions. OK for "older IP's", but not my newer one.
All good info, but enough with the CHEERING after each tip!
Tip # 10... all these " Tips " can be found in the user's guide. Read it.
not in mine
Not a fan of the very loud music. Your content is fine without it.
This is a Computer science or IT instant pot.
Great content but the cheering sounds are incredibly annoying, I almost couldn't finish the vid. Otherwise thanks for the tips.
Would be a better video if you take out the cheering.
Music is RIDICULOUSLY louder than rest of video. Will not watch another because I'm afraid it'll blow my tv speakers!
pclvhpns seems like you had your tv too loud to begin with.
