This is just superb, I been tryin to find out about "how do i use my instant pot ultra?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Penaniel Foremost Primacy - (should be on google have a look )?

I love cooking roast in my pressure cooker, no more dried out meat from the over, the instant pot cooks the roast so tender and juicy. I put a roast in, add a packet of onion soup mix, cover with water. steam for 20 minutes, add carrots and potatoes, cook another 8 mins and boom, amazing dinner. thank you for your tips, I love the pot in pot idea.

Sous vide has also been a great way to freeze on the weekend, cook the night before (no need to thaw) then just sear on the day we're serving, not really true that you can start in the morning like a slow cooker and get a tasty result with a few exceptions.

Hi Nili. I love your blog. You are so informative and fun to watch. I love the 3 stainless steel pots but I read that you aren't supposed to put hermetically sealed pots in a pressure cooker because they may explode if you have the tops latched down. Read that from Hip pressure cooking. Hope that was ok to say that since I'm a newbie. Just wondered if you had heard that. Thanks so much!

As someone who makes rice for almost every meal there are multiple reasons I prefer to cook my rice on stove top. 1) I tend to saute my rice especially with spices before I cook 2) I tend to use the liquid from my pressure cooker (cooking meat or chicken) to add flavour and nutrition 3) it takes about the same am out of cooking time for me either way. But I would love to look into this for other recipes like caserols

    • @IndigoNili

+naseerahvj There is a saute mode on the instant pot so you can easily saute rice with spices before you cook. Also I cook rice in broth in my IP quite often. After cooking rice in the IP I'll never go back to cooking it on the stove top!

The stainless steel container failed. I cooked kidney beans in the bottom of the liner with the trivet that you recommended on top and the stainless steel bowl with white rice on top of that in a 6qt iPot. The beans came out very nice, but we haven’t been able to open the bowl with the rice... for three (3) days. Looks like the seal melted and glued top and container together. We’ve tried everything. Then went to Amazon’s customer comments and found many, many people with the same problem. Too late for us to return the stainless steel containers and the container is ruined not only because it doesn’t open but because it is ruined with our efforts to open it. We’ll use the remaining stainless steel pots for pot in pot without the lid. Will see if there are better products out there.

This is SO convenient. I just wish I had a chart so I know what foods to cook together because these all fit in 6 mins.

I"m a new bee lol.. So far I love my instant pot.
Do you think 8 minutes is enough on the same foods but in Pyrex?
I saw your little dogie in the back ground, I hope you introduce your dog sometimes as we all love animals, cooking and the Instant Pot, however you are a good hostess and your pig tails are cute.
Thanks very much for your videos, they have been a big help to me in my endeavor to cook faster and better meals for myself.

Great demo! thank you so much.
I live in Australia and we can’t get the IP here, I’ll be buying the Philips Viva Collection all-in-one cooker and applying the IP methods to that.
