    The craft of those beds, the superb amount of light, the beautiful kitchen with back facing small private garden... My God... This place is full of magic. It absolutely worth the effort to restore it! And I have to say that I loved that 3D map of Italy showing the topography, I've never seen one of those before and if I would by this place I would totally ask to keep it! haha Amazing video, Nick!

    Beautiful property. I think I would happily live in the attic with that view. Thank you for another great tour,Nick. I also love reading everyone's ideas in the comments section. It sounds like Italian properties will be renovated with respect if your viewers are anything to go by. Difficult to negotiate putting modern amenities without losing the integrity of the building. It needs to be done while traditional craftsmen are still alive.

    What an incredible property! The potential is through the roof. Being American and an avid home cook, I would love to see a larger kitchen and this place offers the space to do it. Also, the bedrooms are huge and easily have the room to make each bedroom with an ensuite. I don't know how easy it would be to add the plumbing but the space is certainly there. Love it! • @hellosheila
    @hellosheila ปีที่แล้ว +5

    That entranceway was stunning. It wasn't until after the camera adjusted, that I realised it hadn't been done up already! I think depending on how many bedrooms you need, the layout could be played around with accordingly. The cantina didn't look big on headroom, so probably left as a cantina. The "wet room" should probably be converted to a regular WC for guests, and the kitchen level is jut about perfect as is ( the secret garden is bursting with potential for those with green thumbs). Open that fireplace as wide as possible, and exploit that arch under the stairs even more! It's the focal point for the whole house! The pink room on the second floor could stay as a bedroom, or be a main living area, while the room adjacent I definitely see as a floor to ceiling library space ( with a ladder for the books!), The front bedroom on the third floor stays as a 2nd bedroom, sharing the bathroom with the second floor, and the master bed has that attic converted into a boutique style bathroom, dressing area and lounge as part of the master suite. You might still spend 100 grand, but as always, with these properties you find, Nick, the results would be stunning!
    Looking forward to the next one already!
    Cheers,
    Neil.

    What a property! Hard to believe that it's 800 years old. When most people talk about a house having good bones, you know it's just a line. However with this one, your comment hits the mark. Does it need a new kitchen, additional bathrooms, sandblasting, etc? Sure. But oh, the possibilities. I think the price is great, considering the history and the location within a town. Hello Nick , Thankyou for showing us this beautiful property. It’s amazing to see so much space to live in especially when your outside looking at the building. It really wouldn’t take too much to really make this place shine. Love that terrace outside the kitchen and the whole kitchen space in general just beautiful. The green bedroom was my favorite out of the bedrooms but they all had their charm. All in all someone could move in as is and fix up one area at a time if they wish it seems to be in good condition. So much potential here. Another great selling feature is the location . To have so much going on in your town and be able to take a train ride all over Italy is fantastic! Great property . I know in the villages you don't get a garden; the back space could be transformed into one. I would go in under asking and see how they negotiate. Otherwise, a very nice place. Thanks Nick. Thank Joni. As I mentioned, that’s the asking price and the vendor is negotiable. I agree. Love back from Tuscany. ❤️ 🙏 N.

      Property taxes are low in Italy and you don’t pay property tax on your primary residence if you’re a resident. 🙏❤️N.

    Ironically, the best part of this property is the view of the town from the upper floors. Would have to install windows as much as architectural code would allow or a gardened balcony. Caught off guard by the two story size “art” in the opening moments. I might donate 15 gallons of some classic Italian paint color, climbing roses and planters.

    Nick, You have said before the price of a total restoration, but what do you think this kind of restoration (ie, upgrade and add a bathroom, sandblast ceilings, upgrade electrical) typically costs per square meter? my wife and I wait for your videos each week. Love your enthusiasm, appreciation of history and attention to the little details. You have a gift. Thank you so much.

      You’re so kind Mike. 🙏 Hi to both of you. It’s quite a difficult question to answer as it all depends on personal taste.
      €50,000 would get you a new kitchen, house painted and bathroom upgrades. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Nick. ❤️

      @@italianproperty Thanks. That is very helpful. We first got hooked on your videos during Covid. It was the house and guesthouse that came with a car artist studio. Opened our eyes to what beautiful restorations there are and what a future retirement in Italy (or Spain) could be like!

    Your channel on youtube is my favorite and believe me, I watch a lot. Don't worry about length. If someone likes it, they will watch it. I personally would like them longer. Also, I would love to see every nook and cranny of the houses you show. No criticism, but please show all the rooms unless you are pressed for time. Also, I love paintings and am an artist myself. I live in America and so am really interested in seeing the paintings in the houses. I love Italy and would so love to visit, but I am not wealthy and even after 6 years can't make my channel grow enough to earn money from it. So, I probably will never get to come there. So, I am so excited every time a video comes out. I know you can't show every painting, but at least quite a few would be nice. I love old doors as you, but after a half a minute I am ready to move on. I love how slow you move in your videos. It makes for a great video that we can see easily. I hope I haven't sounded critical in any way, because I truly love your videos, but just a couple of changes and I would be even happier. I watch the walking tours of Italy of those who do them on youtube, and Italy is gorgeous. I have been to Israel 6 times and Jordan 3, and Egypt 1 time, but that was years ago when I was able to earn the money to go. Since I can't come there, I love watching your videos, kind of like arm chair traveling. Also, you have a laugh like my grandson and I love it. Keep up the good work, and God Bless You!

    Is there public transport there. How much do you think putting in another bathroom and a new kitchen and the electrics
    I know you aren't a contractor but an estimate would help. And does the furniture that's there stay. By the way I love your videos your excitement is contagious

      Hi Janice, Thank you for your comment and kind words. It's very difficult to put a price on the renovation as it all depends on individual taste, however, €50,000 will be enough to get the house up and running. Best wishes, Nick.
