    PSA: If you're experiencing this issue you should make sure you've updated to the newest firmware. This issue can be due to the older firmware if your machine is straight out of the box.

    Oh my goodness! That's very interesting. Bambu Printers are all so tightly designed! Less than 2mm gap and that's the difference between it working or not. Thanks for the video! Mine worked fine out of the box, so I enjoyed learning from your experience!

    Thanks for the video. My plate was twisted and slightly pushed back off the heat bed and I didn't even realize it after flexing the plate to remove a previous print. This solved it. Appreciate it.

    After seeing your issue with the printer. I decided to share my problem I had when I first received my printer. I got the same error. I noticed that the bed would not go all the way up to the print head during the calibration. This was also the first time i turned the machine on. I found out the problem was the slide rod in the back of the printer next to the treaded rod was not in the slot during the assembly process. You have to take the back off and look up into the casing to see the rod was not in place. After the rod was snapped back into place the printer work as intended. Hope this helps someone.

      What's the slide rod and what's the treaded rod

    This worked for me as a charm. Unscrewed those 6, moved bed to front, screwed back, voila!

    Could be a precursor of bed sensor wires needing to be replaced. It starts periodically complaining about force sensors, then won't home at all. Some earlier machines have the bed sensor wire routed differently than how they recommend now.

    • @3DPrintStuff
      @3DPrintStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s good to know. This isn’t one of the early kickstarter machines. I ordered it in November and received it December 24th.
      Do you know when they switched the routing?

    • @kazolar
      @kazolar ปีที่แล้ว

      @@3DPrintStuff very recently, I was given the instructions at the end of december, likely your machine was assembled prior to them making the adjustment.

    I notice that at the end of your self test you have a red dot next to the green "Messages" speech bubble (bottom left corner of the display). Have you checked what it says? I have the same problem with Z Home failing (nothing is touching the chute or anything else). It completes the self-test routine but the message says that Force Sensor 2 gives an unexpected signal. If I try to print, it tries to home, fails on Z, and aborts. This problem started immediately after a firmware update (to 01.05.01.00, 5/10/23); until then it had worked great. I rolled back the firmware to the previous version, but the problem persisted. Filed a ticket, waiting for a response.

    • @3DPrintStuff
      @3DPrintStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t check what the red dot said and haven’t had this issue since filming this video a while back. Sorry to hear that you’re having issues. I was going to suggest the firmware until I read that you’d updated it and reverted it back… I don’t have any further insight, sorry I can’t be of any help. Let me know what Bambu support says, I’d be interested in knowing what the problem turns out to be.

      @@3DPrintStuff Here is their response:
      ---------------------------
      [...] For this issue, we would like to have you check a few connections on the heat bed and cable to ensure everything is connected well.
      Please carefully remove any glue on the connections by heating them with a hair dryer, or using needle nose pliers to pick it off. Once removed please unplug and plug the connections back in. Some of the connectors are equipped with a buckle. Please make sure that you press the buckle to open it before you try to disconnect the connector.
      The common points of loose connections are
      On the MC board of the printer, as seen in steps 6 and 7 of this guide Heatbed Replacement
      On the small PCB under the printer heat bed, as seen in steps 3 and 4 in this guide Cable Replacement
      -----------------------------
      I am not sure yet what I'll do. Removing the heatbed looks pretty involved and quite frankly I am not sure I have time for this. My printer is barely 3 months old and I've made all of 6 prints. This feels like a warranty case.

    Before you go ahead and do it showed in this video, make sure that your magnetic plate is not pushed too far back. That could be why it hits the exit chute.

    Mine has been having issues with the LiDAR since day one. It says it cannot see the test extrusions because of lack of reflectivity in the filament(even white). Nonetheless, the prints seems to come out nice.

    • @rileyneufeld7001
      @rileyneufeld7001 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you printed any flow cubes to see if the flow rate is close without the Lidar?

    • @3DPrintStuff
      @3DPrintStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah I'm not sure how much the lidar is really affecting the prints. I've had a few prints that are going to collide with the flow calibration strips so I turned it off. The prints still came out great and I can't really see a difference. I'd imagine with some unknown materials it can be more beneficial.

    • @rileyneufeld7001
      @rileyneufeld7001 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@3DPrintStuff can you turn off the flow calibration but keep the first layer inspection on? You should do some calibration prints with and without lidar enabled. I've yet to see a video showing the lidar at work. For all we know it might do little to nothing.

    Had the samething happen to my P1P. Got me stumped enough that I was about to shoot Bambu a troubleshoot ticket til I saw the PEI plate wasnt placed properly (extender too far out or not all the way in however one sees it). Fixed it, reboot & voila, no problemo. Had another strange error msg on display (but not in Studio app) & rebooted again to fix. Not perfect for sure but perfect enough

      @@cerebralvision It would be nice if it prompted you on startup or as soon as you get it connected to your WIFI.
