Do you feel like college football has changed too much?

I feel that it is in the process of changing but it isn't finished yet. Both transfers and NIL need to be reined in from where they are now.

Yes, but I’m old enough to remember seeing Coach Bryant and Johnny Musso in Tuscaloosa. You could literally park right next to Denny Stadium and walk in and expect to be entertained by the marching band and buy a watered down Coke and a hotdog with mustard and ketchup.
It was a different experience watching John Hannah run out of the tunnel onto the field. I’m pretty sure season tickets were like six dollars per game.
But, that’s before Nike and ESPN took over the world of college football.
It almost feels like it’s an out of control semi professional league now.
I’m happy for the kids that they’re getting paid. Compensation for college athletes was way overdue. Probably needs some type of regulation. And the transfer portal is ridiculous. You have kids transferring before they ever put a uniform on. Unlimited transfers just makes no sense. In the NFL you can’t just pick up and leave because things aren’t working where you’re at. You sign a contract. But, sadly with paychecks and contracts the league doesn’t really seem like it will remain unique and different from the NFL. Nothing wrong with the NFL but we already have a professional football league. I guess now we have two

Great point. With compensation comes expectations. What recourse is there if the player doesn’t live up to expectations. Pros are cut.

@@panosalexakos4877 Bruh you think a car dealership owner, or Pepsi, or whatever company has the time to implement anything for these kids…it’s not up to individual corporations to manage NCAA athletes. I get what you’re saying and I honestly like your thoughts.
But reality is this is the NCAA issue/challenge. They’ve took advantage of these kids since the very beginning and now they have no idea how to manage the wild wild West of NIL and transfer portal.

NIL needs a legitimate cap. Freshmen need a cap for how much money they make. G5 needs to break of P5 immediately, the playing field is definitely NOT even by ANY circumstances. and then-revenue sharing is ANOTHER issue

If you are a fan of a school that recruits well, it's mostly business as usual.
People are excited about transfers, and there are some that are a massive deal like Caleb Downs. But, CFB is a game of the unknowns. Tomorrows talent isn't moving much.

Mrs. Terrie can’t teach what she knows about being a supportive wife of a coach, or of any man who wants to be and do his best at his work. The wife has to learn it on her own. That her support of her husband is the very foundation of the love she professes for him. If the wife loves her husband, she will do all she can to help him succeed. That’s it. But to get to this point, a wife has so swallow a lot of pride, embrace humility and learn to be happy with being second. ❤🐐

I agree that college players should be compensated, but not in every sport. If a sport does not generate revenue for the college, then it makes no sense to pay the players, as their compensation is the scholarship they receive from playing said sports, (which are directly financed from the revenue generating sports, football and basketball).

I believe CDS is an above average X's and O's coach. But he has to up his game in HS recruiting. There's no way a program can be successful bringing in 35-40 transfers every year. That's what he should be bending Coach Saban's ear about.
