      Man, where to begin? 😂 Georgia struggling for 3 quarters against UMass is my honorable mention. HoweverI gotta go with Oklahoma completely shutting down Bama. I mean Jalen Milroe might have played his way out of being drafted early in the 1st round with that performance. But honestly, the most shocking thing, was that we got all of these upsets in one week! Anybody else getting flashbacks to "The Year of Upsets," 2007? 12-2 LSU beating 11-2 Ohio State in the BCS championship game, because of all the top 2 teams losing in front of them week after week? No? Just me?

      The SEC is so good this year by a wide margin. Ohio State gave Indiana no room to breathe. Ole Miss loss to Florida was crazy to watch but a good game. Penn state survived but also a good game to watch

  • @TheSchaef47
    @TheSchaef47 หลายเดือนก่อน +150

    The 300-odd yards of total offense is misleading. Ohio State had a short field for a lot of the game. They only punted twice the entire game, a 3-and-out on the first drive and another at the end of the third quarter. They drove 75 yds for a TD and 83 yds to the 1 yard line before they were stopped. Their other long-field possession they had back to back penalties and kicked a field goal. Indiana made them work for it but they weren't really stopping them.

      They played them good until they imploded on special teams
      They stopped them 4 times actually a turnover is a stop and they had an intercom as well

    • @TheSchaef47
      @TheSchaef47 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      @andrewgiegerich8211 obviously Ohio State did not score on every single drive. I'm talking about the 300 yards of offense was not because Indiana was dominating on the line, or smothering the receivers, or anything like that. Ohio State only had 56 recorded plays. That's over 5-1/2 yards per play. Indiana had roughly the same number of plays, same time of possession, half the yards and six punts (including the muffed one). THAT is stopping an offense.

      Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.
      One game doesn't change your narrative, OU is a terrible team still with a DC posing as a head coach. BV is in over his head. This win was more a indictment on Bama and the dropoff from Saban, than a positive about OU. OU scraped by a bad Auburn team, and needed some hail Mary type plays to get by......Houston. Houston, really?
      That being said, LSU is terrible, I give Zero U a good chance of winning that game too.
      OU needs a rebuild and change in culture, and better players to be good year in and year out. With so many programs recruiting Tx now, OU will not be getting the caliber of players they used to every year, recruiting will be more crucial to win in the SEC.

I know they're gonna make the playoff, I'm just saying they are the most confusing team for my brain!

    • @kevinbeck7007
      @kevinbeck7007 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Idk what they were doing vs Bowling Green, but USC and Minnesota are better than their records indicate and both were on the road. Both teams have lost a few close games this year. In a world of increasing college football parity, a few plays here and there is the only difference between 8-2 or 9-1 and 6-4 or 5-5.
      For example, the week before Penn St played USC, USC was ranked about #12. They lose a one score game on the road vs Minnesota and the AP poll dropped them over 13 spots and out of the top-25. If they had played one week earlier, Penn St would have another ranked win. I aslo wouldn't be surprised if USC goes out and beats ND this week.

And not just you were about as evenly matched as could be vs a respectable team? Indiana was not prepared. Georgia absolutely was not prepared in the first half and ended up losing to a bad team. 13:08 316 total yards yeah when their average starting position is the IU 43 yard line don’t really need to go that far and the special teams if we play that game then Ohio state should have had an additional 14 points on the red zone stop and the interception on the 10 yard line because the ball was wet and slipped which is the same narrative you used for IU’s punter see it goes both ways you can’t say “well if this” cause you can do it for Ohio State too, I also don’t know why you view IU’s last touchdown as just a grab to make the game look closer when Ohio state had some 2nd teamers in and playing prevent, 4 minute defense to chew up clock if they didn’t do that IU probably doesn’t score, the final score was 31-7 before the garbage time scoring happened

      They struggled mightily to beat....Houston and Auburn, and choked the game away at Missouri.
      That is easily 2 more losses you should have, OU is worse than their record.
      Stop using the injury excuse, it's called having depth at the skill positions, every team has to deal with multiple injuries every year, they don't beat that same drum like Zero U does. If anything, that is a huge red flag and failure on your S&C program that your players keep getting hurt. You don't have SEC type players, is one reason, and your S&C program is apparently failing also. Development, its necessary to have at this level at all positions, OU doesn't have it. They were never going to win that game, and they probably wouldn't have crossed the 50 if OSU had kept the starting defense out there.

    Scenario: Quarterback fades back to throw a pass and can't find an open receiver. Quarterback, a known scrambler and good runner, scrambles away from the DL rush and heads downfield. Defensive player rushes up to try to prevent a long gain by quarterback in open field. Just before crossing the line of scrimmage and well out of the pocket, quarterback throws the ball downfield. Meanwhile defensive player is starting to dive toward the player he sees running with the ball. A dive is necessary because he knows the speed and elusiveness of runner and that he probably will not be able to catch the runner because of the distance between them. Defensive player is in the air when quarterback releases the ball and wraps his arms around QB's knees and lower legs to make the tackle because his desperation dive was from too far away to hit QB higher. Great defensive effort, great defensive play, right? Well, not according to self-proclaimed football "expert" Klatt who calls it one of the cheapest shots he's ever seen. OU is not top 10 in any defensive category. And if you’re looking at the recruiting again no. They aren’t elite on the defensive side compared to other talent around the country.
      Also. Aside from Texas and sort of Alabama they haven’t played any high powered offenses. And really. Alabama is not high powered on offense.
      What impressed me more or maybe revealed Alabamas defense is really bad was OU moving the ball 🤣
      That team hasn’t been able to do anything on offense most of the season. Jackson Arnold is not a college QB.

      Just like Bama shut down Vandy and Oklahoma lol gat outta here. Vandy lost to Georgia St. Georgia state has won 3 games all year. Put 7 SEC teams in I don’t care. Makes it an easy path for the Big 10 to make the championship game.
