Been running them on my 3500HD SRW Silverado that mostly used to tow a 14000# fifth wheel RV from the frozen tundra to the south Texas gulf. Ride and wear are great. Now at 52000 time to replace em. Rotate em every other oil change.

Just bought a set for my 2021 F150 hybrid defender 275/60R20 MS2. Love love love these tires great in dry or wet driving. My last tires scorpions hydroplaned bad in wet weather.

Just bought these for my wife on her Toyota Highlander. I thought they were pricey, but seeing all the reviews think I made the right choice.

Why would you trade in a diesel at 45,000 miles? That's not even broken in.

How quiet are these things on highways?

Had them on F150 and Tundra 4x4s. Worst tires in winter I've ever owned. Off roading was even worse. Any amount of mud or real trail driving is a no-go. I got stuck in light mud even wet grass in the back pasture. These may be best suited for a vehicle that never leaves the dry road, but they are terrible for trucks in snow or used for hunting or work.

I have put them on everything that has wheels and they are the greatest. I will never buy anything else. ❤

FWIW, I’ve read a recent report from a moderator on a popular HD truck forum regarding the new Michelin LTX Platinum NOT performing that great in snow/ice. That person actually favored his previous Agilis CrossClimate in comparison.
As far as Michelin tires go, I wish the new Defender LTX M/S 2 was also offered in the LT295/65R20 size. It’s a beefed up version of the Defender LTX M/S you’re reviewing here. Chiseled sidewall lugs, slightly chiseled/overlapping circumferential tread ribs v.s. the straight linear ones on the M/S. Mild sidewall lugs. Still has great siping count; albeit less-so on the outer tread blocks. -But that’s not necessarily a bad thing on a heavy, high-torque diesel pickup.
Michelin DOES offer the new M/S 2 in a 35x12.50R20, but it’s the same ole “short ‘n fat” 35” (34.5x12.50) that those of us who favor the 295/65 (35.1+ x 11.8) are trying to avoid.
Thanks for posting this follow up review. When do you take delivery on your new GMC?

I tried platinums. They are extremely quiet. They are the smoothest highway tire ever.
    The bad
    Wet performance is lacking.
Gravel gets stuck in the squares alot.
Wet dirt roads are like greasy ice with the platinums.
    My opinion. Others may vary.

      Not too good in rain?

Right front tire break is worn pretty bad.
    Were they rotated?
    Alignment issue?
    I have them on her 23 4rnr.
85 mph on I 10 from south texas to Arizona awesome drive.
But my F250 needs to haul 12k into pasturduring shredding season.
    DT guy recommended KO3s.
So this fall the oem wranglers will be gone!.

Thanks for the review. I’ve been looking at the defender platinums myself for my 2024 f-350

What kinda of gas mileage did you get? Tires are comfortable and quiet, but I found I’ve lost about 2 MPG (from 12.4 to 10.4), from what I used to get with the OEM firestones while towing my 38 foot 5th wheel (cruise at 65)

I’m glad you still like them. I put them on my Ram 2500 yesterday after watching your first review. Saw this pop up in my feed and I was like “oh no… I hope he didn’t end up hating them.”

Thanks for this video, I bought these for my Grand Cherokee which came with Pirelli Scorpions that barely made it to 20k so this gives me pleasure knowing I spent my money wisely.

Really I almost bought the PIRELLI again they were solid. Add them for like three years on my wife probably around 70,000 miles.

@@hwhitley93 when I bought my Jeep it had about 15,000 miles and the Pirelli’s were already cooked. Maybe the last owner was a reckless driver but I decided to go with the Michelin LTX M/S 2 because of the wet traction and I have to say after 2,000 miles and driven in the rain I am totally satisfied
