    What are your favorite highway light truck tires?

    A shot of the tread would have helped viewers understand which tire you were talking about

    Are you stock suspension? No leveling kit? Looking at buying those same size tires not sure if they will fit my stock 2023 f350? Thanks.

      Stock suspension, no leveling kit. Tires do not rub at all. I have a 2019 F250.

    Picked this to watch because it was over 5 minutes long. Expected 5 minutes of discussion about the tire. 🤷

    I got these exact size you have , I wanted the height that is 35.6 and the width is 11.5 or there abouts . I put 20,000 in the last 8 months . mostly highway miles . tred on these still look great , ride smooth as glass 👍🏻 !!!!
    what ever you do don't get in any mud even an 1" deep of mud . I got stuck in my yard in 2 wheel drive . I would say snow would be about the same outcome . as for the pavement rain or dry , these tires are the best I've ever had !

      Nice! That’s awesome to hear. Given the tread pattern I wouldn’t expect them to do well in mud lol they actually do fairly well in snow tho. Definitely a highway tire as you mentioned

      I'm Glad to hear they have better traction in the snow . that is one reason I chose these tires because of a few trips a year to northern pa in the winter time . the reviews I've read everyone said snow was pretty good for the tread pattern 👍🏻
      I hope I get to try them out this year , no snow last year .
      thanks for the heads up !

      @@johnnyo6709 they are great in the snow I got stuck in deep snow with my wrangler duratracs and my dad had to come pull me out and literally drove circles around me while positioning his truck that pretty much sold me on them for when the Goodyears wear out plus I should get better fuel mileage which is always a bonus

      thanks for the insite about the snow traction 👍🏻 I can't wait til I get a chance to try them out

    Can you measure your tires? Bought a new truck and I want to get rid of the OEM 33 MT's.
    Great vid, thank you!

      What measurements do you need? There are tire size converters online that will give you the metric to imperial

      @@powerstrokemaintenance The overall diameter (horizontal, unsquatted tire) and the thread width. I did look it up on online comparators but real life size vs theoric is not always the same.
      Thank you!

      Gotcha! Sorry for the slow response. I don’t have the tires any more. Ended up selling them for Michelin defenders. I would not recommend this size for a super duty however. They work but do rub on the radius arms. I might suggest trying 285/75R18 in a load range E

      @jeenyus15 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@powerstrokemaintenance I will consider 285/75s, thank you.
      I did order wheels last week but decided to wait before upsizing tires, fearing clearance issues. We'll see!

    I have the LTX platinum on my R1t. They are crap for wet/dry traction, but excel being smoother/quieter/efficient.

    • @powerstrokemaintenance
      @powerstrokemaintenance  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comment! I found they were pretty good in the snow and rain. What made you not like them for wet/dry traction?

      @@powerstrokemaintenance abs kicks on when I press the brake harder, I drive the truck like a sports car (its got 800+hp) . It's a big difference compared to the factory all terrain scorpion. But you are right, they are softer and quieter. As for the dry, power out mid throttle it breaks traction where as my older tires did not. It's very noticeable and I thought it was the mold release or the tire needed more break in. I have roughly 1500 miles on them so far, I'm just learning to live with them but I'm hoping to find alternatives that have better traction with a shorter tire warranty.

    • @hjc0706
      @hjc0706 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Shorter warranty as these have 70k warranty now, and they've clearly made tradeoffs in the compound to get them to last that long.

    • @powerstrokemaintenance
      @powerstrokemaintenance  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s interesting thanks for the explanation. Seems like with more tire life they sacrificed some of the grip. And then the way your truck is set up would definitely make them break traction for sure.

    I’m having a set of these put on tomorrow. The naming of the defender LTX MS line of tires is so confusing. I just found out the newest version is the M/S 2, but it’s not the same “M/S 2” of year’s past. Do I have this right?

    • @powerstrokemaintenance
      @powerstrokemaintenance  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question, the lineup is confusing. I do believe the M/S 2 is a different version as you stated. However my tires are just the M/S version. It seems like they’re more widely used and tested (since they’re older). I used tire racks tire comparison tool you can find on their website. Hope that helps!

    • @alexblaze8878
      @alexblaze8878 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@powerstrokemaintenance thanks for your response. My concern is whether the LTX MS tires I ordered were the newest (more advanced) version of this tire. Based on what you’re telling me I’m going to opt for the M/S 2 version when I go the shop tomorrow. Tire Rack has a review of this newer version and they show several improvements in stopping distance, handling, noise, etc. Disappointingly, the PepBoys associate never mentioned a newer version existed when I said I wanted Michelin Defender LTX tires.
      Thanks again for your input.
