I LUV MY UNIVERSITY... AND I'M HAPPY TO SEE IT REFLECTED IN A POSITIVE LIGHT. 💯 I ALWAYS SAY YOU CAN'T (PLEASE) EVERYONE ONLY THE MIND OF THE INDIVIDUAL... !!! 👍
I completing a Masters of Management at the University of Phoenix. My experience has been nothing short of 100% positive. It's great to see someone saying positive things about the University. I would recommend this university to others.
Anyone making negative comments is just a hater lol. Employers literally don’t care about where you got your degree from, only if you have the degree! I never met an employer in my life (nor anyone I know) that prefers or criticizes degrees from specific colleges. People love to complain lol
I can’t disclose that info, but it’s a major telecommunications company. I’m getting myself second masters from CTU, another for-profit. People don’t realize that non-profit do the same things / shady stuff as the for-profits when it comes to enrollment - they also have to hit admissions quotas. They lie a lot too - I know, I went to a state college for my undergrad. Literally anyone who calls this school or that school a scam or saying any employer won’t respect it is the biggest bulls*** artist. Nobody cares where you got it from, but rather you background and experiences - the education just complements it and that you went to school- doesn’t matter where.
Thank you for the information. I'm currently considering going there to get my Masters. And sometimes get scared off by the negative reviews. I especially appreciate the information on accreditation.
My experience has been horrific as a financial aid advisor.. they treat employees like absolute crap. The best part was helping the students. The students made me stay for as long as I did.
I have been attending UOP for almost 1.5 years and I have really taken my time I'm graduating October 28th 2024 with my associates in CJ. In November I'll be switching and going into healthcare and I'm super excited. So far I believe they transfered 42 credits into bachelor degree program. I love UOPX!
I wasn't looking at this school until I heard the news University of Pheonix will be changing its tax status to non profit. After watching your review you seem to had a great experience. What worries me the most about UOP is how employers will receive the degree. Now that UOP is a non profit will more employers consider applicants with credentials from there?
As someone who graduated from UofPhx and I have been employed some of the largest aerospace employers across the U.S., all employers care about is the degree and how much a person knows, I highly doubt you will have any issues finding a job attending this university, I worked for 4 employers already and none have had any issues with me attending this university, and I also notice majority employers hired me over others who attended traditional colleges.
@@clarissacupero6833 I would like to know more about your experience. what resources do you use. I have graduated from a for profit the response has been more negative.
The Univ. of Phoenix was just acquired by the University of Idaho (it happened last week). Under U. of Idaho, UOPX will become a non-profit institution.
You should watch Chaar Sahibzaade movie based on lives of children of our Tenth Guru sahib Ji. You should experience it, it's in English as well, so there should be no excuses and it's free on TH-cam.
Hello Taj, Thank you for this well detailed video! I have a few questions… I am currently enrolled at a University which I actually take courses at and live at during the Fall and Spring Semester. I am an upcoming Junior there and am currently on Summer break. Thankfully, I found out yesterday, 5/30/23, that my new job is I believe associated/partnered with the University of Phoenix and will be able to pay for 6 of my courses there. The plan is to be enrolled in those courses during this Summer once I get the final confirmation from my current university and get the list of courses I should take from my advisor very soon. If you could further assist me I would like to know, how is the process of transferring credits from this University like over to another University? Also, how long does it typically take to finish up a course? (especially since the course work there is at your own paste). I am a Criminal Justice Major and pretty soon will be adding the Communications Major to the list, so does the University of Phoenix provide a nice selection of classes to those majors or is this University dedicated to other specific majors? I hope to hear back from you soon, thanks!
I would advise you to speak with an advisor at University of Phoenix, or you can even live chat online using the chat portal. Transferring credits is very easy, it takes 1-2 weeks for them to let you know how many credits transfer over. Each course at University of Phoenix is only 5 weeks long, so a month and a week, which is great for students who don't want a course for entire semester at a traditional college. When you first become a new student, you must only be 1 course a month, after passing two courses with a good grade, you can then "level-up" meaning take on 2-3 courses a month if you want to finish the program, if you want a slower route, you can stay with 1 course a month. All assignments are always due on Mondays in a course, usually taking 1 course a month and depending on major only usually requires 2-3 hours of work a week, so it's not a lot or stressful at all. UofPhx does have communication major and several others, you can check out the website and under programs it will show you all the programs and courses for each program. My best advice for you, is to speak with an advisor, because if you still want to take courses at the college your attending now, they may not even be needed for the major at University of Phoenix, so many courses I took at another college weren't even needed for my program in the end, so in order to save money, speak to an advisor, tell them what program your interested in, let them know which courses your planning on taking, they can let you know to proceed or whether its best just to switch over to Univ of Phx. Hope this Helps!
I would've been much more negative on UoP. For profit, extremely low graduation rate and no admissions standards, multiple lawsuits and settlements for their predatory recruitment, Just don't even consider this school!

Nice job. I've been researching the UOPX off and on for years. The main reason I never enrolled is due to having to get a student loan. Take care.

Agreed!
How is the course structure Taj and the actual length I wanna know more.
kk cool vid!
You left the legal field for I.T.,,, how was this process, I am considering the legal field actually.
I will definitely make a more detailed videos ! Stay tuned!
How long is the MBA program?? is it worth it, That is what I'm trying to do..
I am not sure, maybe speak to an advisor.
They are accredited but they have a bad reputation. I’m sure you can still find a job but some employers may frown on them.
I disagree but everyone has their own opinions!
Is the entire university online?
They do have on campus options
