    I am working on my masters at SNHU and much like the two at number 5, they love military members and have their own team that focuses on military paid classes. The navy has paid for 14k of my education both for my BA and MFA. They understand the the guidelines needed to use TA and make sure there are no problems when submitting the grades to the military college program. THey take care of everything. And they take your entire military transcripts and pull everything they can. For active duty service members, SNHU is a great place to go and help make everything easy.

    • @profdleeucc
      @profdleeucc หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mycustompaintedlife502 Yes I agree as I am of early retirement age over 62yo, but I have over 127 college credits of accumulated college courses over the many years for Electronics, Computers and finally Business major(s); I finally feeling it is only the right educationally justified thing to do a final big last educationally motivated objective push to finally get a Bachelor's Liberal Arts Degree with Minor in Management Studies with UMPI educational facility institution; as that would have a tendency to be able to be more transfer college credits friendly for the many times I have found myself going back to college again to take college courses to improve and add to my general overall educational knowledge and better interesting overall variety of skill set experiences.
      This has led for me to objectively directly looking at UMPI much more closely as I like it for the very lower level of for college credit course transfer loss due them being much older than average and for the one's that may be in fact be to old one still has the option to at least take them with either Sophia.org or Study.com third party college credit earning transfer institutions.
      I also love the lower direct target objective cost of $1,400 ($25 per day) per eight week highly concentrated and focused college studies option which would allow one to objectively educationally achieve as many practical educational college credits in one eight week push for those who may have minimal free time availability that would allow for the most realistic flexibility.
      I also directly objectively highly appreciate the very compellingly popular rational common sense UMPI University approach to earning college credit experience for the older returning college student with its rather unique ability to de-emphasize the quarterly test exams, mid term exams and final exams in favor of rough draft set of written learning working assessment evaluation projects/essays that are formally evaluated by a designated assigned instructor for college course.
      One merely simply needs to follow the typically default recommended highly helpful and useful instructive corrective supplementary college student feedback; before submitting the final assessment assigned written evaluation project/essays that one will finally be evaluated and recommended for successfully earning one's objective college credits. Now this rational and logical minded direct objective educational approach seems to be the best objectively direct course of action; since I am also a very straight forward no-nonsense ex-military Navy sailor who is very much goal and objective oriented when it comes to achieving my final educationally compelling learning set of objectives for the last final time.

    From your research, what is best college in your opinion if you want to finish, considering these two factors; 1) The Quickest (as in self-paced, as many courses as you want can- ideally 6 months) 2) The cheapest (let's say $3-4k- by WGU standards- ideally $2k) considering someone with an Associate's level of college credits (Art, Tech, general ed courses) to transfer in? I know you mentioned WGU, not being that hacker-friendly, but so far in my research-I've heard better reviews from WGU.

    • @CollegeHacked

      WGU is a great school. The only reason it’s not a good fit for you is because you have a chunk of transfer credit and WGU degrees don’t have free elective sections, meaning you’re likely to lose some of that credit. Look into UMPI and their YourPace, Liberal Studies majors! ~62 credits of free elective space 😎

    I was a legal assistant for many years when I was young and, more recently, a realtor for 12 years, then i moved to another state. I have no resume anymore (its too stale) and I'm 65 so getting meaningful employment without a degree is near impossible. I had to take retirement early just to survive, but survival is 11k a year. I've always wanted to finish my degree. I have some college credit. I have no future without a degree. no hope for anything better. I tried to get into a college in my state that had an ABA accredited paralegal program. I figured that and my experience could land me a good job ( Tho i had always dreamed of being an attorney). I couldn't afford it even with FAFSA and a Pell Grant. You have given me a glimmer of hope. Is it possible to use the Pell and fafsa for these schools? I wonder if it's too late to switch to a career in Health Services. Do you think that my age is a horrible detriment

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yes! It’s definitely possible to use financial aid for these schools, particularly at UMPI for their YourPace programs, which are so hackable you can reduce the total cost down to about $6,000, which is less than the max Pell Grant available, so you could potentially get the whole tuition for the school paid for and would only pay for the hacking platforms (Sophia.org and Study.com). Definitely worth contacting UMPI and filling out a FAFSA on fafsa.gov to see your aid eligibility :) The more information you know about your potential options the easier it will be to make the best decision for your situation! And you can get all this info without paying anything or committing yourself to anything-just start with data gathering.

    What is difference between national accreditation and regional accreditation?(please do not skip my comment)

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      These are the two types of accreditation used in the U.S. Regional accreditation is typically considered more prestigious and widely recognized (i.e. it's the gold standard for degree accreditation). In most cases you will want a regionally accredited degree, especially if you're planning to pursue a graduate degree in the future, transfer your credits or enter a competitive career. There are a handful of regional accrediting bodies that cover various regions in the U.S. MSCHE, NECHE, NWCCU and HLC are just a few of them. There are also specialized or program specific accreditations like IACBE for instance which is a common one for business-related degrees. There are also some forms of accreditation that are required for state licensure such as CACREP (for counseling/therapist master's degrees) or ABA (for law degrees). These are usually only for graduate programs however.
      To summarize, if you're going for any degree whatsoever, make sure it's regionally accredited. If you will need a specific license for your future career, make sure your degree has any accreditation that is required to get said license. Hope this helps and best of luck!

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You want a regionally accredited degree. While the conventions are created by the US, the rest of the world judges the degrees based on what the US says about them, so you want to stay away from UoP if you need an employer to respect the degree. If you only need the piece of paper to get through HR screenings and you have programming skills (can pass coding challenges in interviews and such), then UoP would probably work just fine.

      Actually a certificate would be the easiest :) The drawback to being what’s called non-degree seeking is that you aren’t eligible for financial aid. Maybe 50% cheaper but you will take much longer to graduate, so you pay an opportunity cost. There is no testing out or moving ahead so UMPI is by all accounts faster. Most online programs from Germany are in German on the undergraduate level. There is the Fernuniversität Hagen which is a state owned distance university. Its almost entirely in German and super inflexible compared to UMPI. I am not sure about the private universities here that offer online degrees but I doubt they will beat UMPI in terms of flexbility and even in terms of cost they wont differ that much.       @@trusttruth9916 Yes, the UMPI University College Degree is also online competency based and also self paced; the UMPI delivered online courses are delivered in eight week flat rate term sections for $1,500 per term so if one has enough time one can potentially take up to thirty college credits in that eight week flat rater term sections for $1,500;
      also they do not have class proctored exams whatsoever at all; the actual for college credit course class grade is entirely based on one single final written evaluation and assessment project/ essay that is highly recommended to be submitted as a initial written rough draft for evaluation and assessment;
      that is in fact looked over by assigned college class instructor that has marked and edited the initial written rough draft that was submitted for rough evaluation and assessment for the highly recommended feedback response improvements; the student resubmits the assigned written evaluation and assessment project/ essay with the proper recommended feedback improvement to be incorporated into the final written evaluation and assessment project/ essay for earning the college credits for the college course taken.
      Now it simply does not get better than that for a typical four year university college student and for $1,500 for a single flat rate full time rate college tuition rate for eight weeks that is repeated six times per year annually with up to fifteen to eighteen full time for college credit course load every eight weeks.
      Now one could even probably finish 120 college credits in under two years time, in under ten eight week flat rate full time $1,500 college tuition term period, six times per year that would add up to a very modest and reasonable eight- eight week flat rate full time $1,500 college tuition term period for an unheard of $12,000 in under a year and a half.
      Even if one cannot afford more than one term eight week flat rate full time $1,500 college tuition term period one can still optimally earn let's say around eighteen college credits in the last eight weeks of the year; year after year one can still earn the four year university college degree still in less than seven years quite readily and easily

    Are degrees from these schools as legit from traditional colleges and universities?

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Indeed :) Online degrees work just as well as residential ones in the vast majority of situations. But there will always remain some fields (like medicine) that require residential prerequisite classes and can’t view online versions as equal.

    I tried so hard to attend UMPI but getting ahold of anyone there is an absolute NIGHTMARE and I would get ignored for weeks at a time. Even after transferring my transcripts in no one would reach out to me and it was really tough

      I registered with them months ago, they did respond slowly, but in my case, I finally got my classes confirmation a few days ago. So I will enroll in their summer terms (May 8, 2023). With 90 credits to go, I hope I could pass each class fast, so I could graduate in 6-9 months I hope 😀😀😀

      It is always better to send a introductory letter of intent to apply at UMPI to their admissions department; before sending over the electronic college transcripts which must be sent over by your educational college institution and not ever by you as the college student of that educational institution;
      now it is always a good idea for you as the potential UMPI college student candidate; to also objectively directly request to have your educational institution also transmit over at the same time the same duplicate record attachment copy of your electronic college transcript that was also directly sent to UMPI; this is to facilitate, confirm and verify the time/date stamped copy of electronic college transcript records and its included contents that was transmitted for future reference if ever needed;
      then also immediately follow up after receiving one's own said directly transmitted attachment of electronic college transcript record from one's own educational institution; by sending over the same said referenced objective follow up electronic letter of intent of the completed electronic college transcript record transmission transaction to UMPI; now one can and should always also request that UMPI reply and respond back about what to objectively do next as part of the ongoing prospective UMPI college student candidate ongoing enrollment and UMPI class registration on-boarding facilitation process.

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ashworth isn’t very hackable and they have cumbersome transfer policies. CCU has great transfer policies but no equivalency charts, and it’s only nationally accredited. Penn Foster College is also only nationally accredited. We highly advise pursuing a regionally accredited degree. :) There are better schools you could attend than these ones.

      It is strange that you say that when in this same video you talk about a University of People which has the same accreditation as the three that I mentioned before and you say that regional accreditations are recommended when you also talk about Liberty University which is also nationally accredited.

    • @CollegeHacked
      @CollegeHacked  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While that is technically true, it often takes a decade or so for changes like that to really trickle down. If you look up most graduate school program admissions requirements pages, they’ll still list a “regionally accredited bachelors degree” as required.
