    We absolutely love our Cell-Links ... We run 28 cameras on our properties and we bought 2 so that if we got a picture of a target buck we could just hook them up to those cameras and leave that area alone all together to avoid pressure. They are doing their job great ... especially for the money.

    A bit longer video but I cover a lot of info. Be sure to stick around to the end to see a breakdown of the picture quality that the Cell Link transmits to your phone app. Be sure to reach out on Facebook or Instagram to receive an email that you can use to participate in the Spypoint referral program.

    Lithium Batteries as I understand it are designed to give battery life as you describe. They give off their full current for as long as possible (fooling your battery charge indicator into thinking it has a full charge), then crater rather quickly. Alkaline batteries on the other hand have a gradual reduction in output over the life of the battery.

    • @strixoutdoors

      dmr, thanks for the clarification. I believe you are correct.

    The battery percentage on the app has been pretty funny for me also. Read 28% last night and then 35% this morning.

    • @strixoutdoors
      @strixoutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, it's a bit sporadic. That battery life is getting pretty low... Spypoint indicated that their cameras would likely stop transmitting pictures around 30%, I'm guessing the same could apply for the Cell Link. How long have you been running yours now?

  • @aa999xyz

      D&K, Thanks for the comment!! That's a really good idea about adding the Cell Link once you know there is a buck in the area. I was thinking about it after uploading the video and for volume, you can't beat the Cell Link. You can buy 3 of them for the price of the Link-Micro. I'm getting pictures at 25% signal too. Can you access the pictures anywhere or do you have to be close to it?

    • @strixoutdoors
      @strixoutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can access the pictures from anywhere as long as you have cell signal/wifi communication with the Spypoint App on your phone. The camera or Cell Link needs cell phone signal so that it can send pictures to the Spypoint network and then you access the Spypoint network from your phone or PC. You can actually log in to the Spypoint network from a computer web browser and see pictures and camera info that way also.

    @paulasweat3030 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you need solar camera and spy link both?

    • @strixoutdoors
      @strixoutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. The Cell Link will work with just about any camera. There are some comments indicating that they do not work with Browning cameras for some reason. I haven't investigated that. I tested my Cell Link with my other Spypoint (non-Cell) cameras and my Bushness HD cameras and they worked fine. I have a Cell Link in the field that has been running for 4 months so far and still going strong.

  • @useryggfdcc
    @useryggfdcc 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can a bigger then 32G sd card being used in the Cell-link? I have a 128GB sd card and can't see how a 32G card can be big enough.

    • @strixoutdoors
      @strixoutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      According to Spypoint, NO. The 128GB won't work. I believe it has to do with the formatting. Anything bigger than 32GB can't use the FAT32 memory format. I've been running 32GB cards and it hasn't been a problem. The picture file size is less than 1MB each.

    • @strixoutdoors
      @strixoutdoors  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, correction. I guess it depends on which camera you're connecting to the Cell Link. Just be aware that the Cell Link will still compress the pictures to about 21KB when it sends it to your phone although you can get the full HD pictures on request ($5 for 50 HD pics).

    • @useryggfdcc
      @useryggfdcc 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @useryggfdcc 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@strixoutdoors All the pictures getting loaded on the 128GB sd card via the Cell-link. I suspect the actual problem is with the Spypoint app. It only show once, after that no pics can be viewed with the Spypoint app BUT they are still stored on the sd card installed in the actual Cell-link.
      Very frustrating 😕.
