I got the job done in about an hour. Hardest part is taking out the housing module and unplugging the wires. First one took about 35 min to figure out, 2nd one took 20 min ignoring to unplug the connector (stuck, no nails or tools to disconnect) and turning the housing module to focus on the socket. It is a bit tight on space, yet still doable. It feels like the set up is designed to be mildly inconvenient enough to where someone with a lower level of discipline, patience, or confidence (general public like myself) would hit enough mental failure walls to delegate the work to a repair/maintenance shop and pay more for their labor. This video did it's purpose and more by giving me more reassurance and confidence in myself. Thank you.
Thank you - following your instructions, we successfully changed the low beam bulb. It was a bit of a struggle to get the unit out but managed it without breaking any nails :)
Thank you so much! It was exactly as you said and saved me so much money! I had estimates from $99 up to $200 with the last mechanic saying he had to remove my bumper!! To get to the lights?!?! Seriously, watched your video and did it myself in about 10 minutes!
So I thought what a pain in the backside taking the headlamp out was to change a bulb - However it was certainly easier than contorting my hand into weird positions, cutting it to ribbons, like I have done on other cars.
What model of C-max is this? I have a grand C-max and the low beam bulb is H7 and also on the Philips and Osram bulb finders they show C-max and Grand C-max has H7 for the low beam

Did you do it like in the video? I mean when the screws are loose, you push the light-unit a bit to the front and lift it up??
