I think Enemy Controller is pretty good dependent on the deck. I've been testing it in Kashtira and it puts in work. It's a funny out to Bagooska, it lets your starter (Fenrir, Unicorn, etc) dodge effects like Imperm and Veiler since they'll let you activate to brick your hard once per turn, it lets Fenrir out Skill Drain by tributing after attacking and activating, it lets Zeus dodge things like Sulliek or Dragostapellia; the list goes on. No one is ready for it. It also sometimes just lets you kill your opponent by stealing a big dude in exchange for a little dude.

Should be a good watch. As a hard 2nd player, I don't play hand traps except for Impermanence, I play board breakers.

I was already testing kurikara its very strong i would think if flo doesnot have barrier statue would have been good side againts that aswel. for the hand trap catergorie i was thinking aswell on heavenly zephyr-miradora that card have not seen in action jet what you think abou that ?

What about "Mirror of The Ice Barrier" as staple. It's not popular but with Shifter and Kashtira now constantly banish cards , maybe it's a good way to clear board

I got a little question for you that I can't really decide on: What do you think of Rivalry of Warlords for this upcoming format?
One statement i will have to help clarify for you on Sphere mode is this.
It's slightly better than Golem due to the fact that the summon is a normal summoning effect.
So it bypasses the lock both Iblee lock and barrier statue.
Just a food for thought in case it comes up against the match ups
You can't remove Iblee from your field this way since the Tributes must be exclusively all from your side OR all from your opponent's side.
@M. VAS kinda missing the point.
If you are running link 1 in extra deck and you are more scared of your your opponent activating responding to the card you are using.
You would much rather take care of the problem before hand and then use the Iblee for other purposes if the hand calls for it.
Some decks will take advantage of it but not all decks can use it. Just need to be mindful of the play at hand.
What are your thoughts on the actual card design for Tasking? Feel like it’s just a very generic card that any deck can use and that it’s only a matter of time before it gets abused/broken
Droplet can clear things off your own board that you don’t want there as well.
The about Chalice is it’s like hand traps during brave format, or adventurer; not highly impactful on its own, but coupled with some other cards, it could do an effective job. Like swords, ariseheart to banish, chain chalice to negate ariseheart, board broken. Or if you have the zones, raigeki chain chalice on Shang. That being said, Chalice is interesting because it can help in the floo match up too. If you go second, you might be able to stop floo from playing on your turn (which I think is the worst part when facing them).
Thrusting seems good even for cards like Imperm or Dimensional barrier on top of stuff like instant fusion.
now that tier is dead will you be making a quick refresh to these lists? (hand traps and tech cards) maybe jsut a picture of the changes if not a short vid.
One thing that hasn't been mentioned about Fenrir and since Kashtira is more likely to become a deck being seen often is against your opponent, if they use Shangri-La's effect during your turn, you can have your own Fenrir become Ariseheart which can become stacked with materials while breaking their board or setting yourself up to stacking, so Fenrir is VERY strong in the main deck.

Chalice can be played in combo decks that struggle to go second and can be used while your building over a board or when havnis resolves against tear

kurikara seems insane against kashtira, while the board, either kill them, or grave the fenrir during end phase. but then again just use book of eclipse

Only issue I see with Book of Eclipse against Tear going 2nd is that you still have to deal with Elf.

it can't be considered a board breaker and doesn't work with every deck but I got alotta value by adding a shaddol fusion (or three if you don't have tasking)+ beast in Fusion decks it works especially well with branded, not only do you get a mill and a draw you can also get rid of big monsters with the construct and get a free discard fodder if construct somehow ends in the gy
(Also shaddol fusion into winda+ raigeki is good at dealing with the various floating effects and then you can later link the winda into gravity controller)

I too LOVE enemy controller too much. I try and play it in any deck that it can make sense. It gets especially nutty when paired with mind control, change of heart, and talents.
My main deck is a StunLock deck that is design to use old OG floodgates to prevent ANY moves.
When I go second, I usually win with SuperPoly, Evenly and DRNM.
My deck runs Jowgen as a floodgate AND a board breaker for his Raigeki effect that isn’t once a turn

You think exosister can run lava golem in side deck? If you have Martha you don't need to normal tho you become turbo weak against ash

with 2 Kitkallos being staple now I dont think this is the time to splash Unicorn into decks other than Kashtira
with bystials seeing less play post phhy, and tear being the only deck that will really put up a monster on your first turn, cant thrust in the main end up being dead pretty often when going 1st?
If kashtira player opens prospy they can equip the infinitrack link 2 to ariseheart which makes it raigeki proof so R and Dhole are even worse in that matchup

I personally wouldn't recommend it because that whole "it has to be activated at the start of Main Phase 1" aspect is almost always going to met with Cryme for those aiming to deal with the other decks this format. Especially cards like Book of Eclipse and Evenly.

Enemy controller caught a ton of people off guard at my locals tonight. Now we dont have all the zone locking kashtira stuff, but i think its alright. Also anyone who says to put elf at 0-1 doesnt understand that the deck cannot function properly without elf.

An other reason why I think sphere mode is way better than lava golem is iblee (as you mentioned) and xyz 7 raidraptor summoning barrier statue (an other tech kashtira can do). In that case lava golem is totally dead in hand, sphere nope👍

In Gishki Spright würde ich wahrscheinlich Infinite Impermenance wählen, hauptsächlich weil der defensive Nutzen von Book of Eclipse drastisch reduziert ist, da das Deck Level 2 aufgedeckt benötigt, um Link- und Xyz-Spiele zu ermöglichen. You can´t legally activate any card that would change control of an opponents monster if all your zones are blocked

@@vasilboev1383 You can´t, DB Grinder made a video stating that you could (which sadly popularized the idea that it was legal), but it´s wrong, it doesn´t work the same way it does with Floodgates like TCBOO, but just ask either your local or event head judge, also there are a few other resources available to check out those kind of rulings
I play alpha with kaijus as free 8s that can get me to rank 8 access for powerful monsters like Numeron dragon from draglubion, sanaphond, ding, etc. Because it's 2023 and I still wanna play Gren Maju 😅

Pankratops is useless for board breaker but is good is extender for Kashtira to XYZ summon rank 7 monster boss as dino engine can help to summon pankratops and dino lvl 7 monster ridiculous for Kashtira.

It doesnt detach for the summon in Standby so it will have 1 material to protect

if they locked all your zones you cant, but usually you should have some open at the start of your Main Phase

Doesn't do enough. Bare in mind the primary deck to worry about is Kashtira if you flip the Shangri-Ira face down the Arise-Heart will still be live and the same vice-versa. Not to mention it also targets.

I mean, is this realistic to think you can break a Tear board with like 2 going 2nd cards like that + your engine ? From what I saw, if you let a Tear player full combo, you'll loose no matter what, there is so much to deal with (if you don't play Tear yourself). At least with 2 HT, you can hope that they will only have 1 or 2 interrupt at max. And Tasking is really good against Bystial, but if you play HT like Imperm (they can't use tasking), Ash, Veiler etc, tasking isn't that impactful so it's ok to take it (game 1 at least).

I'm personally a fan of formats where board breakers are more valuable than handtraps... provided there's a rogue deck that can take advantage by going blind second and just doming people. Do you or anyone else have any recommendations?

I'm really sorry but kashtira doesn't really want to use Shangri during standby because doing so is very bad vs the kash mirror and tear, Since you give a free arise basically. The fact that it also enables kurikara just means that most smart kash players won't use it.
