An average Joe figure is better than most Marvel Legends. At the same price point this one comes with way more accessories. Even if this body is a reused of Hawk, it still feels very unique because of its belts and bandolier. Why can’t they put as much effort into Marvel Legends where you get only a new head sculpt and recently not even a recycled effect piece.
Would be interesting to see if they remove the baf how many accessories we would get per figure on legends. My guess is that what eats into a lot of the accessory cost.
Spirit was always my favorite Joe as a kid. Favorite episode was when he and Storm Shadow were forced to team up for survival. I already got 2 of this guy on preorder with Storm shadow as well. Looking forward to adding him to my First Nations shelf. Cheers
Just got Spirit yesterday myself. He was one of the Joes I wanted to get when I was younger. I also liked his rivalry with Storm Shadow in the cartoon.
He looks like Native American actor Adam Beach from Smoke Signals (Victor) and Suicide Squad (Slipknot) I like it especially considering I’m Native American (Apache). Great review Anthony!
For me the drop down hinge is nice even if it doesn’t give any additional range, simply because it keeps you from grinding the plastic together and marring the upper thigh. Helps with repainting too.
QotD: Spirit or Roadblock were my favorite normal Joes, though I have a soft spot for Shipwreck and Barbeque, the latter because of one of those PSA dubs from the early internet. The figures absolutely smoke a lot of Marvel Legends, and this is possibly one of the best in the line personally. So many accessories, he's pretty much a 2022 update of the classic figure, and I like the display options for him and Freedom (Got mine perched on his arm). Easily the best of the Joes if we're not counting the Amazon Roadblock
I guess a factory perfect 10 is what most people want, but I love a figure that needs a little paint. I often watch Anthony's videos while adding a little paint to figures he probably gave 7-8 because they needed more paint. just waiting on Rhino, and now I need this guy.
Hit and Run is my favorite 80's O-ring Joe, hope to get him in Classified soon. Awesome figure and accessories. Still have mine from my childhood. As always great review. Thanks
Great review!!! Definitely the most honest and the most knowledgeable in regards to what consumers are examining as it relates to action figures….. thx
I agree definitely some missed opportunities with the paint apps and giving him a bit of a more realistic look. Funny how so many of these Joe figures look better than most new marvel figures. I'm not too familiar with gi joe but favorite joe character would have to be Lady Jayne
Very nice, I'm glad I pre-ordered him together with Storm Shadow. As for today's question, my favorite joe is Dusty, maybe because he's my 1st g.i.joe toy back then. But for some reason I'm not liking the upcoming classified Dusty (the legs are too thin for me), maybe I'll just wait for the retro version. Great review Anthony, as always... 👍
For the QOTD. Forget the ninjas, Shipwreck is the coolest Joe on this side of Davie Jones' Locker!! Hopefully Hasbro will release a good Shipwreck and Polly in the future!
Good question, my favorite GI Joe not counting a ninja would have to be Flint and also Fast Draw. Simply because Flint is one of my earliest GI Joes, and i thought the beret and shotgun, and uniform made him look badass and Fast Draw was purchased by my mother who just brought one home to me one day and knew nothing about action figures and he’s such a cool looking figure with the ridiculously powerful looking missiles on his side and his helmet with visor that goes up and down which was a rarity back then, you never see that, and he’s also a gunslinger who happens to be carrying weapons of mass destruction like nobody’s business, total badass. Oh, i forgot about Roadblock good choice.
Spirit was always a favorite of mine …..u did not see much diversity in figures back in the late 80s and I’m the 90s so was welcome change to the status quo
For a favorite Joe, I'm torn between Barbecue and Rock 'n Roll. I'll probably lean toward the latter as I remember really liking his silly guns as a kid. Hopefully we'll see him in Classified and they'll still give him those nutty quad miniguns of his.
Hey Anthony, I agree with most of what you said. The overall look is good. That eagle however looks poor. The wing sculpt is off, the head is ill defined and generally it looks like it came with a Christmas Cracker.
Totally agree that more paint would have made it a ton better and put it over the edge, and it’s a bit too shiny. But subjectively I think this figure still looks super cool and I really wanna pick it up. Maybe it’s just the character design along with the parts they executed well, but yeah. I think had they done more with the paint it could have been one of the coolest in the line so far. As for my favorite Joe, I think maybe Barbecue. I had the original release of that figure as a kid that was handed down to me, and I have a lot of nostalgia for it, and was glad they did it in the Classified line recently.
I have a tie with my favorite G.I. Joe so it would be Dusty or Blowtorch. Just waiting for Hasbro to give me Blowtorch in the Classified line and should have been released before Barbecue in my opinion.
The thing that worries me about the drop down is that it makes the hip joint incredibly fragile compared to having a solid bar holding the ball joints. The smaller pieces we have for a joint the less stress it would be able to handle.
I love this figure but I felt the same way about the butterfly joints, they’re basically useless. So many collectors are just happy to have them but I find they often don’t add much.
Really been considering collecting gi joes again. Even though I'm pretty much done with marvel legends at this point. And I've been eyeing this guy for awhile should I get it
I have to say Tunnel Rat was my all-time favorite G.I. Joe Character. Quick Kick was a close 2nd he's was from Watts California like me. Does he count as a ninja?
I really like this figure despite a few flaws. The only thing that really bothered my is the super rounded shoulders. They just look so off to me. Still enjoy the figure though.
I do like this figure but I've had most breaks with gi Joe's at the legs and waist, my outback snapped at the leg, and the guy with the bike snapped at the waist and both legs snapped, and this was with heating, I do really like the designs of the Joe's but why they use such strange mechanics when they have access to the ML or BS joints and articulation bothers me, I'll probably grab him, just be a little more careful😂
I’m my experience drop down hip joints are useless. Only one figure I have do they actually make a difference, and even that is negligible: SH Figuarts Beerus.
Seems to me that action figures are becoming more model kits now, as you need to paint them to have a complete look. As for favorite Joes: Female= Scarlett Male= Shipwreck, Alpine
Yeah, but they don't match the detail and in some instances, articulation. My Gundam collection has definitely grown over the last 18 or so months, especially with the price hikes on a lot of these figure lines.
Sgt. Slaughter, I guess? I don't really like the Joe characters. I think Colt makes a few 1911s that have eagle designs on them, but not sculpted into it like that one.

💯💯💯
They’re more expensive
@@__-wm9lu Nah they're the same price
Would be interesting to see if they remove the baf how many accessories we would get per figure on legends. My guess is that what eats into a lot of the accessory cost.
Because Disney demands more for each sale. Hasbro profits 100 percent of Joes
The bird, the bird, the bird… it’s Freedom, man. Freedom.
Favorite non-ninja Joe: Shipwreck lol
The Joe's are proving to be the real standout in hasbros figure lineup. Just overall better looking and functioning.
Spirit was always my favorite Joe as a kid. Favorite episode was when he and Storm Shadow were forced to team up for survival. I already got 2 of this guy on preorder with Storm shadow as well. Looking forward to adding him to my First Nations shelf. Cheers

Snow Job - hands down. His toy was my favorite to play with as a kid. Can't wait for the Classified version.
My Joes will always be General Hawk, Beachhead, Cpt.Gridiron, Big-Ben, Pathfinder and Scarlett... can't wait to get Spirit still pre-order on bbts
6:55 TWSS. I like the bird and accessories! Thanks for the excellent review Anthony 😽🤟💗
QotD: Spirit or Roadblock were my favorite normal Joes, though I have a soft spot for Shipwreck and Barbeque, the latter because of one of those PSA dubs from the early internet.

This line is an example of how good Hasbro can be if they didnt have to deal with the Disney owned licenses eating into the budget
I guess a factory perfect 10 is what most people want, but I love a figure that needs a little paint. I often watch Anthony's videos while adding a little paint to figures he probably gave 7-8 because they needed more paint. just waiting on Rhino, and now I need this guy.
My favorite GI Joe character was Duke growing up. He was one of the main leaders.
Top two favorite GI Joes of all time gun ho and quick Kick
I like your honest views, many people who do reviews of figures are praising the companies or figures.
Thank you again and keep up the great work.
Hit and Run is my favorite 80's O-ring Joe, hope to get him in Classified soon. Awesome figure and accessories. Still have mine from my childhood. As always great review. Thanks
Even with some flaws, that's still a great figure. My favorite Joe is, of course, Flint.
I believe, that the Marvel Legends are scaled at 6.25 inches to represent a 1:12 scale; hence being bigger than other 6 inch figures.
Great review!!! Definitely the most honest and the most knowledgeable in regards to what consumers are examining as it relates to action figures….. thx
Love Blowtorch. I feel like he's inevitable for classified since I can't imagine they wouldn't re-use the Barbecue figure to do it.
Great critique as always. A review with no bias is all we need. Keep it up. Thanks AC
Dusty was always my favorite and I can't wait for next year to get him
I love Shipwreck, mainly because of his portrayal in the cartoon. His voice cracks me up
I agree definitely some missed opportunities with the paint apps and giving him a bit of a more realistic look. Funny how so many of these Joe figures look better than most new marvel figures. I'm not too familiar with gi joe but favorite joe character would have to be Lady Jayne
Favorite Joe? The answer for me is always Hector X Delgado {Shipwreck)
Great Review buddy. Most definitely going to have to get this guy to build up my Native American figures
You didn't even have to say no ninja. Shipwreck IS my favorite Joe. LOL
Honestly, I hope they make a figure of Quick Kick. Definitely a favorite of mine.
Stalker is my favorite Joe. Can't wait for his figure
Flint was always my favorite. He worked with Lady Jaye very well and unlike Duke, didn’t get captured all the time!
My favorite Joes are Spirit, Duke, Flint, beachhead, Scarlet , Roadblock, shipwreck,
Sgt. Slaughter if he counts or shipwreck where my favorites growing up.
For the QOTD. Forget the ninjas, Shipwreck is the coolest Joe on this side of Davie Jones' Locker!! Hopefully Hasbro will release a good Shipwreck and Polly in the future!
Personally, I'm a fan of Blowtorch, and I can't wait for the classified version of the character.
Good review. My favorite joe would be heavy duty. Real similar to roadblock
Thanks, Anthony!
This will be my "Billy" figure from Predator.
ha ha 😂 shame we never got a release for the mercs in Predator by Neca except Arnold.
Anthony, this is a great figure. My favorite is Snow Job. I used to pair him off against Snow Serpent another favorite. Excellent review.
Scarlett! The figure is great, although I'm only really basing it on that since I never watched the show or seen any of the movies.
Awesome figure and nice review. Lets see more action force reviews please.
I am confused between spirit and cobra officer which one should i go for ????
“Who is your favorite GI Joe Character?”
“Not counting ninjas”
Nunchuk & Kamakura punching the air rn
Spirit was always a favorite of mine …..u did not see much diversity in figures back in the late 80s and I’m the 90s so was welcome change to the status quo
Flint has always been my favorite, the Sgt. Slaughter
My favorite of the Joes is Fumbles aka Trouser snake. He was an absolute monster.
For a favorite Joe, I'm torn between Barbecue and Rock 'n Roll. I'll probably lean toward the latter as I remember really liking his silly guns as a kid. Hopefully we'll see him in Classified and they'll still give him those nutty quad miniguns of his.
My favorite joe is gen. Hawk, outback rock n roll and tunnelrat
Awesome review sir.
my favorite gi joe team members are alpine, bazooka, and quick kick. along with this guy spirit
Hey Anthony, I agree with most of what you said. The overall look is good.

I like shipwreck in his scuba gear. I think it’s v2. He was stinky diver in the old Kablam show.
Favourite non-ninja G.I.Joe... Beachhead :)
My go to joe is probably flint or beachhead, maybe dusty or falcon too lol 😅
Great review! I have this figure preordered, and can’t wait to get him. My all time favorite Joe is Flint. Thanks for the great content.
Doc, Grunt, Mutt/Junkyard, and Barbecue.
Flint is my favorite, 2nd would be Rock n’ Roll
Dusty is the man dude
Torpedo was always a fav of mine
I got nothing good to say other than I love this figure and really want to get it. It was a good review.
I love this figure but I felt the same way about the butterfly joints, they’re basically useless. So many collectors are just happy to have them but I find they often don’t add much.
The eagle reminds me of a Lego figure
Duke is my favorite Joe.
Really been considering collecting gi joes again. Even though I'm pretty much done with marvel legends at this point. And I've been eyeing this guy for awhile should I get it
Shipwreck is my favorite Joe.
Chuckles is my favorite
I have to say Tunnel Rat was my all-time favorite G.I. Joe Character. Quick Kick was a close 2nd he's was from Watts California like me. Does he count as a ninja?
I always liked Shipwreck.
Shipwreck was my favorite.
Beachhead has always been my favorite.
Zup Anthony, thanks for the video bro 😎
My favorite Joe, that's not Snake Eyes, is Stalker. Spirit would be next.
Spirit is my fave Joe
Figure is one of the harder to find figures in a short time. So, they must have done something right with it.
The glossy finish on the face is what makes it look more like a toy and less like a collectible. I might grab one if there is a sale.
🦅
Your holding him Spirit Yo Joe!
Love Beach Head!
I really like this figure despite a few flaws. The only thing that really bothered my is the super rounded shoulders. They just look so off to me. Still enjoy the figure though.
my favorite Joe is Spirit
Mine arrived 2day I'm pleased with him...but my eagle only has 1 eye painted...😢
I've always been partial to Deep Six
Got mines today
I like Airtight🔥
Flint, Spirit or Dodger. Can't quite choose.
Lt Falcon is my fave
Sorry for the weird off topic question, but, do you think some PDMS pure silicone oil would be good for lubricating tight joints?
Should be ok
I do like this figure but I've had most breaks with gi Joe's at the legs and waist, my outback snapped at the leg, and the guy with the bike snapped at the waist and both legs snapped, and this was with heating, I do really like the designs of the Joe's but why they use such strange mechanics when they have access to the ML or BS joints and articulation bothers me, I'll probably grab him, just be a little more careful😂
I wished could collect this buy, but i never see them at stores.
Cover Girl ❤️
Best gi joe of the year?
I’m my experience drop down hip joints are useless.
Only one figure I have do they actually make a difference, and even that is negligible: SH Figuarts Beerus.
Tunnel Rat and Beachhead
Seems to me that action figures are becoming more model kits now, as you need to paint them to have a complete look. As for favorite Joes:
Female= Scarlett
Male= Shipwreck, Alpine
Low Light!!!
Scarlet
