The fact that this line and Marvel Legends are both coming from the same company is hilarious to me. Classified is LEAGUES above Marvel Legends and proves, at least to me, that the ML line needs a new dev team.
The way some people have addressed this GI JOE is a Hasbro Property so there is no license fee.... So one line has more of a budget to allocate for new sculpts and accessories.... Also Joe's don't come with a BAF.....
I'm trying sooooo hard not to get into this line after not really liking the modernized versions of the classics.... BUT Hasbro pivoting to more classic designs and now watching your killer reviews, my resolve is wavering hard.
I think it was Mr Evilcheese who said way back in his review of Zartan that his childhood favorite was Croc Master despite acknowledging as D-list at best, and he jokingly said he'd love to see him in this line, can't imagine how happy he'll be seeing this. I ordered this and Heavy Artillery Roadblock so he'd have another bruiser to go up against, he arrived today but this set isn't releasing for at least another 2 days in the UK. I almost skipped this since I was mainly into the line for the more realistic military characters, but then I remembered that I had Red Ninjas, Robots, the entirety of Cobra high command who aren't remotely realistic, and heck Zartan is what got me into the line and he's more Mad Max than military. Plus when this was announced I literally moved them all onto a bigger shelf to accommodate Fiona, so I can't wait to get a hold of it hopefully by the end of the week.
Hasbro is sitting on the potential for a best-seller if they ever decide to release the animals separately as a set (like how Star Wars released their creatures set). I say this because I am not into Joes but would really like to get the animal sidekicks.

Is it weird that I love the reuse in this line? All the figures feel complete and separate characters while maintaining a line wide cohesive feel. The reuse doesn't feel like it gets in the way (unlike with some Marvel Legends) and I think the Joe teams deserves something for their smart reuse of parts.
Interesting that Crock Master stands on his own when holding Fiona's leash, the original Crock Master figure did the same thing! Looking forward to getting mine from Amazon, soon I hope.
I remeber when I was a Toddler my Dad gave me some of his G.I Joes and Croc Master was one of them and me being a superhero nerd I called him Bane but when I got older I got to watch the G.I Joe Cartoon so Croc Master is how I got into the GI World

Fun fact: mama crocodilians hold the babies in their mouths while they leave the nest. It's to protect them from predators like birds or adult males that might eat them. So now I kinda want to see if the babies will fit in Fiona's mouth lol

They did such a fantastic job with this guy. I had the original 3 inch toy and seeing this... damn I hope it shows up locally. Croc Master wont fit into any of my displays these days, but nostalgia alone - yes.
what I like about this review is Robo gets all the details in the sculpts as he looks the figure/s over. Sure, D had a friend who knew more about crocs gators than he did for some extra background info, and HoodCoCo is all about them Joe’s, but Robo’s enthusiasm for finding new things about a figure shines through. I had the original Croc, and I agree that there would have been a Bane parallel had he existed a few years earlier. My guy hung out in the Cobra camp, creeping out the Drednoks with his croc. Can’t wait to get this guy…or Spirit, SS, or anything new……..
Love the "Beastmaster" reference. Yes I'm that old too!! 🤣🤣 Still one of my favourite movies. I wish there was an action figure line based on it. I'm working on some customs for it though.
The soft spot on Fiona's belly is so that when you're photographing her in the water and you finish up you can squeeze that spot to expel the water..........clever bunnies Hasbro....

Mine finally came today! I’m to the Moon with this purchase! It’s just like he should be: creepy with a stitched-up mask for GI Joe disfigured face character #37! Gorgeous new buck (no taking that suit off, all new tooling of the torso! Just the right amount of pearlescent shine w/o going Elton John. Cool, realistic pistol, whip should be wired, decent control chain but real chain is always better. Fiona! You’d be hard pressed to find a better toy croc this size. I know Bane was mentioned in the video, and now even more certain Bane was DC ripping off Croc-Master. I never had the chance to get him as a kid, so again, Mission: Accomplished, Hasbro! Now let’s loo that Classified HISS Tank price IN HALF OR MORE. You really are not getting me to spend $300 on a PC upscaled version with $2 or less worth of Dollar Tree LEDs. Cry about it or fix it.
That was a dope review, (especially the introduce,) the baby crocs do have names. Their names are Georgie and Diablo. Question, is Fiona buoyant and how well would a 1:12 animal line do?
I am so excited about this set. Crocmaster was my favorite figure as s kid. Not to be pedantic, but the crocs jaw opening from the top only is biologically correct.
Love the review, both figures look great, my only drawback is the Croc’s teeth, I would probably strip them and repaint them more realistic, same for the babies, other than that, great set.
Glad to know it’s a good set. I had Croc Master as a kid and used him as fodder for a new character Mindbender simply called Parts 2. He was made from mostly Croc Master, with Tomax’ right and and Xamot’s left (or was that the other way around?), and I think he had commando Snake Eyes’ legs. It was stupid, but I grew very attached to him as he tried to find his way, guided by the real Croc Master (yes, I was a weird kid. Heavily into deep story destiny Joes). I might get two Croc Masters and Tomax, Xamot and commando Snake Eyes and recreate Parts 2 to stand by Croc Master.

You did the review for the Alley Viper and Bat in January and haven't seen them stocked in any stores still. They're suppose to release in July (confirmed with GameStop today) and if you received a promo of Croc Master today (directly from Hasbro), then we won't get ours for another 6 months. Meanwhile, every store is loaded with McFarlane Toys...
Alley Viper and BATs hit stores months ago. The ones I reviewed came from Amazon. Hell, my local Walmart had them for $17 on clearance because they were sitting. Then just this week Pulse sent out notices that Croc Master will start shipping soon and Dorkside posted that their allotment is on the way, along with Spirit/Storm Shadow.

I wish I cared more about GI Joe because the design choices for this line are all stellar (aside from a shirtless figure not having pinvisible elbow joints). I’ve genuinely considered picking up lots of these figs to use as custom ML fodder.
I am willing to bet that the reason for the soft belly is that it can squirt water out of it's mouth. When the jaw was open, you can barely see what looked like a tube in the back (just below the bottom rear of the top jaw.
I was wondering if the Marvel Legends firearm smoke effect would fit in that hole for the hose in the mouthpiece. Might make for a nice cold-morning breath.
I like the figure overall, but the mismatched skin tone for his traps and chest is something I can't unsee. Definitely need two of these for the full croc effect though.
Croc Master is one of my favourite characters, but reality is, he doesn’t do all that much. I would have preferred to see Copperhead or the three original Dreadnoks ahead of this guy.
I had the Original and the Valpr Vs. Venom second version. the 25th had a Donkey Kong Country looking thing for a Croc so I avoided that one. have this pack preordered and awaiting along with Storm Shadow and Spirit I think someone at DC was a fan and made Bane as. Croc Master came out in the 80s.

Went ahead and pre-ordered Croc Master, since the likelihood of catching this at Target (our nearest Walmart doesn't even stock Classifieds anymore) is null. That probably means I won't have it in hand for months after a lot of other folks, but at least it looks like it's worth the wait. Now, to figure out how to get some of those Target exclusive vipers and BATs without paying exponentially more. Hasbro, your distribution sucks.
There’s a three-pack with two Vipers and a new Viper Officer figure and it’s easy to preorder. The per-figure price is pretty high, but way less than Target Vipers. Whoooops, you probably meant the Python Patrol ones. Nevermind.

The G.I. Joe Classified Series and Fortnite Victory Royale Series have been killing it recently. They’ve been doing better than the Marvel Legends

The newer figures have went pinvisible, it's only when they reuse old parts that we see the pins again. Just like with Legends.

Croc Master is one of my favourite characters, but reality is, he doesn’t do all that much.
I would have preferred to see Copperhead or the three original Dreadnoks ahead of this guy.
I had the Original and the Valpr Vs. Venom second version. the 25th had a Donkey Kong Country looking thing for a Croc so I avoided that one.

I think someone at DC was a fan and made Bane as. Croc Master came out in the 80s.

Went ahead and pre-ordered Croc Master, since the likelihood of catching this at Target (our nearest Walmart doesn't even stock Classifieds anymore) is null. That probably means I won't have it in hand for months after a lot of other folks, but at least it looks like it's worth the wait. Now, to figure out how to get some of those Target exclusive vipers and BATs without paying exponentially more. Hasbro, your distribution sucks.
There’s a three-pack with two Vipers and a new Viper Officer figure and it’s easy to preorder.
The per-figure price is pretty high, but way less than Target Vipers.

Croc master was my dream G.I joe toy, but unfortunately I never got my hands on him.
I was really hoping that he had the bite mark scars on his arm like the 25th Anniversary figure had... still a great figure.
